It went very good. I was very happy with Aloha cleanliness, promptness and especially paying attention to detail.

This bidder had the lowest of the three bids; however we decided not to use it. The main factor was the time in business. When putting on a new roof that is supposed to last a long time we decided that we would use a company that had a long record of satisfactory business. Further, their warranty was only ten years; much shorter than competitors.

As a former employee of Aloha Construction, Inc. I can say that I have never worked for a company that has put so much effort and care into their customer’s satisfaction. The goal is not only to satisfy the customers wants and needs but to also make the process as stress and hassle free as possible. The quality of work Aloha offers is second to none and I know that first hand because Aloha has also done work on my home. I recommend Aloha Construction, Inc.to anyone who is looking to get any exterior restoration done on their home.

We have several projects that we want to do to our house currently, including new gutters, siding, painting and a full bathroom remodel. We went on Angie’s List to find a contractor that could do some or all of these projects. My wife and I set up a time on a Friday afternoon to meet an Aloha Construction representative at our home to review all the work and to receive a quote. We took off work to accommodate this meeting. The representative never showed, and when I called Aloha Construction an hour after the missed appointment, I was told the person that was supposed to be doing my quote meeting was no longer with the company as of this week. For some reason, no one knew that this person was supposed to meet with us, but I thought it was just an error on their part, so I rescheduled the meeting for the following day during the afternoon, which they stated they appreciated. Then they didn’t show up for that appointment either. When we called today, there was no explanation given. I am happy this happened at the beginning of the process with Aloha Construction because I would have hated to hire them and find they couldn’t keep deadlines and performed shotty work after I contracted their services. If they can’t be professional at the beginning of a project, I have no confidence they are good at any other aspect of their work. It is hard to fathom how they have such a good rating on this site and it is very strange they have an A+ rating with BBB. As someone that puts a lot of stock in consumer reviews of contractors, as I’ve seen many professional companies and many companies that are shady and without regard for their clients. My hope is that others will read this post and think twice about entertaining working with this company.

PERFECT, Amazingly uncomplicated & hasselfree! Gary Reagan handled everything & always always answered his cell phone & took care of meeting with insurance adjuster, climbing on the roof to take pictures to ensure a total roof claim, Explained to me what to expect & what to check such as the shingle delivery. Mostly I was impressed by Gary's call to ME, asking if roofing crew was problem-free. The roofing crew were great, professional & kind as they caught dog when it got out of house & were careful to remove nails outside front door throughout the day for me & my dog. Payment was extremely burden-free. Aloha waited for both payments, waited until I received my insurance checks to pay them so I did not pay anything up-front. I was also happy with the high quality & choices of shingle colors. Gary Reagan gave last insurance money tip: Because of the high quality grade of shingle, I can apply to my insurance Co. for a discount. Gary is who you want to contact if possible, but everyone I had contact with were "nice people". Also the person in charge of the gutters came back on a separate day to ensure the angles were correct & REPOSITIONED & lengthened the downspouts, which I need to have done previously to correct foundation water. The crew was so accommodating!

Things seemed to go well until the job was complete. Rain was expected that day and the company sent extra Shingles were found in our pool, nails left in the lawn, and damage to the siding. The neighbor reported that he witnessed the installers discussing the damaged siding. I was at home working when the damage happened, yet no one informed me of it. I'm not a particularly picky person, and honesty goes a long way with me. In this case, I believe they simply damaged the wood siding and never intended to let me know of it. I did a little research and found that the IKO Cambridge shingles used are very low quality. I asked to keep a few shingles in case some are needed in the future (common practice from 3 competitors I called) and was told it was OK by one of the company representatives. The guys left almost a full pack of shingles as well as a small remnant roll of tar paper. About 3 hours later, a van showed up and the guy took the left over material.

The provider scammed us into giving them the OK to contact our insurance for hail damage to the roof. Without our approval or any other communication, they dumped a pile of shingles on our front lawn, ruining my lawn. When contacted them to find out why was happening, I was told that we were bound to have them do the job because we gave the OK to get an approval from the insurance. They scammed us into signing something under false pretense. They were rude on the phone, unprofessional, and persistent to show up the next day to the point that I had to reach out for advise to the police. Additionally, check out the BBB site, there are several similar complaints against them As of now, they still have not picked up the material, and our lawn is totally damaged. Additionally, the material they use, IKO Cambridge, is low quality material - Check out horror stories of consumers that were led to install Iko online

Aloha construction did an excellent job in taking care of our damaged roof, siding and gutters due to hail storm damage. They were professional and got the job done in a timely manner! I Felt very confident that they provided excellent work and did the job right! Debbie Ferreri our claims specialist was a pleasure to work with and made the client feel like she would take care of everything and she did!

Though we did not at the time go with the service (moreso because we were not in the market yet for a new roof), I did appreciate the gentlemen who came by our door to offer a free estimate. He was polite, responsive, and very respectful. At the time, we were starting to see wear on our roof but we were waiting another year to do the repairs. If we were ready to go that summer, I think based on their professionalism, we would have considered them.

They did a great job. Reps who come out are a little pushy, but the quality of work was fantastic.

work was done in less than 2 days, very professional sales manager and crew. the roof was replaced and it rained later that night so i knew right away if there were any problems and no water came in. high quality service and work. i would definitely recommend their services. very competitive pricing as well

My inspector found mold in the attic. The sellers provided the name of the roofing company they recently used (Aloha). They even had their sign in the basement. Aloha did not provide any intake for the roof! They provided a ridge vent only - but no intake to properly ventilate the roof! I tried calling them three separate times last fall (2014) and the lady said that someone would call me back. I never once got a call back. She also asked if they were the ones who installed the roof - she made it seem like she knew that they do crappy work and that they get these calls all the time! I told them that they didn't do install the roof on the third call, just to see if they would call me back and nothing. This company is a joke. They are scamming people.

In the end, insurance is paying for most. They showed up when they said they would show up and did the work quickly. It's quality work. It looks good. They were professional and responsive. I can reach the salesperson by email or phone when I needed to. They showed up when they said they were going to show up which for contractors is hard to find sometimes. I used them twice already.

They were referred to us by a neighbor that had used them a couple years ago. The salesperson who came to our home was very friendly and thorough; explaining all the potential options, warranty, etc. They were booked out 3-4 weeks, which wasn't an issue for us. The crew that did the work was amazing, they were polite, made sure they cleaned up each day before they left for the day. When the work was complete, they had a quality control person come inspect the work, which I thought was awesome. All in all, it was a flawless transaction and we would recommend them to anyone looking for a good roofing and siding company.

I looked them up on-line and the reviews were all bad. I would not trust them to do the work!

Aloha filed two successive claims with Allstate, our insurance carrier. Each time there was a separate claimjs adjuster adjusters who checked our roof , it seemed more like a scam. It was their promise to replace your roof without paying that hooks you. After that, it's all about which insurance adjuster they know who and quot;works with themand quot; best. Another negative is that each time there is a claim filed against your home owners policy, it becomes shared information with other insurance companies. It could be more difficult to find lower cost insurance. Kind of like a low FICO score!

Didn't actually move forward.

They did a very low quality job, then intimidated me when I held money back waiting for them to repair their job. 2 months later when I had to replace all of the drywall in my kitchen due to a leak cause by them cutting corners and doing a poor job nailing my flashing into the roof, they were again very rude and refused all blame. This house was built in 1976 and never had a water leak until they did the roof. Run as fast as you can the other way. The truth is anyone with mild sensibility Google to find a storm date and then call the insurance by themselves and hire a reputable company that doesn't subcontract low grade workers to do botch jobs. Please, do yourself a favor and say thanks but no thanks.

They are an interesting company. They were trying to be lucrative. They showed up on time and did their job. They were rushing a little bit and didn't want to wait for inspection.

Everything went very smoothly. Crews arrived on time. Large crew was able to work together to remove snow and roof and install new roof in one day.

Following a wind storm, Aloha's representative did door to door calls to solicit roof work fully covered by insurance, and agreed to do a roof replacement at the cost quoted by the insurer's inspector. When this amount proved too low to suit them, they simply walked away from the job.

From the initial inspection, to the delivery of material, instalation ,to the final inspection ; the work was done in a most profesional manor. The quality of the install and the clean up of the old debris. was done in an oustanding manor. I would highly recommend this company.

Aloha worked insurance claim to get us full roof replacement after we were initially awarded partial. Work began on time and quality of work was good.

The contractor set up an initial appointment with their sales representative. He did not arrive for the appointment. When we tracked him down, he said he made a mistake with his scheduling and rescheduled. He did arrive for the next appointment and told us he thought there was enough damage on the back half of the roof to probably get insurance to cover 1/2 roof replacement. Next step was to have their adjuster come out with our insurance's adjuster to evaluate the roof. On the day of the appointment, no one showed up. Our insurance had confirmed the appointment the prior afternoon but they didn't show up either. When we called the sales representative at Aloha, he said that our insurance had rescheduled the appointment. However, our insurance said that the contractor cancelled the appointment. Aloha and our insurance rescheduled and evaluated only the front half of the roof due to weather conditions. They did only find minor damage to the gutters from hail. The second adjuster appointment was rescheduled and when Aloha and our insurance came, they found some moderate damage to the back half of the roof but not enough for a replacement. However, Aloha seemed adamant that if we had different insurance and if our insurance were going to take care of us they would replace the roof. Aloha asked for another insurance adjuster to come out and evaluate the whole roof since it was done in pieces. On the third adjuster appointment, the roof was evaluated and the insurance adjuster said he really didn't find any damage. He didn't know why the second adjuster had said there was even a moderate amount of hail damage. Since there were major discrepancies with what the adjusters found I spoke to my insurance company and they sent an engineer out who said basically our roof was in really good shape for being 14 years old. He said he was looking for functional (not cosmetic) hail damage and really didn't find any. Aloha was supposed to show up for this appointment with the engineer but didn't even though I had given him the engineer's phone number if it needed to be rescheduled. Basically, this has been a complete waste of time and money on everyone's part because Aloha Construction believed there was enough damage. Three adjuster's and an engineer from our insurance company really didn't find any. It is true that our insurance does require more damage than other companies. However, our insurance is basically saying there is not enough damage to compromise the functioning of the roof. They aren't going to replace the roof since their is only cosmetic damage.

Aloha Construction was contracted to put a new roof, siding and gutters on our Libertyville home. From day one they were outstanding. Good communication, fast response time and good follow-through. They did what they said they would do every time. The people who we dealt with were very professional and knowledgeable. When the insurance company declined paying for the and quot;mansardand quot; portion of our roof, Aloha came back with a price to fix it that was very, very reasonable! We were thrilled. This enabled us to get the entire roof redone. The house looks fabulous! Very pleased with the job. I would use this company in a heartbeat!
