They did a great job, however, I had to spend $1800.00 out of my own pocket when I thought the insurance was going to handle everything. I wasn't ever given a detailed invoice for me to look over.

The salesperson, Matt, was very responsive to questions and promptly returned telephone calls. Although his job was sales, Matt also served as a project manager for the repair work. Matt helped to coordinate the appointments with the insurance company, gave advice on colors to choose, and was on site during the work to make sure that the workmen had the materials to do the work and make sure the work was done correctly. He was not a high pressure salesperson at all and was very easy to work with on every aspect of the project. The roofing crew did a great job. They moved all my patio furniture to ensure it wasn't hit by shingles, and replaced it to the deck when they were done. Just as they were finishing the roof, we had a huge downpour. They waited out the rain in their van and returned after the storm to clean up and finish the trim work. The siding crew also did a great job. They battled my rose bushes to put the siding on the garage with minimal damage to the plants. They had great attention to detail with the trim work. They even adding siding to a wood section of the garage that was not part of the scope of the project. This crew was also plagued by a rainstorm, so the clean up work was not as good as it might have been. All in all I was very satisfied with the work Aloha did. They were organized, kept to the promised appointment schedule, and there were no surprises along the way. I would recommend them and contact them for future projects.

Here's what Aloha did: 1) A very nice guy came to the door and said that based on a storm that happened 362 days ago, our insurance company had to agree to an inspection if we requested one. The deadline for requesting an inspection was implied to be 365 days after the storm. 2) The very nice Aloha guy gave me a contract to sign and quot;as a formalityand quot; so they could get the insurance inspection. I noticed the fine print gave Aloha the right of refusal after the insurance approved, but didn't give the homeowner the same right. I told Aloha to write in the comments, and quot;subject to client approval after inspection.and quot; Very Nice Guy agreed, saying and quot;We don't work that way.and quot; (Meaning, presumably, that they don't strong-arm people.) 3) The insurance examiner met Very Nice Guy at the house the next day. 4) I got a call that night: and quot;Your insurance examiner has agreed to replace your roof.and quot; Aloha wanted to come over asap so I could choose the roof tiles. 5) I said I was not ready to make a decision. Very Nice Guy said, and quot;My supervisor gets a little pushy about starting work once the contract is signed.and quot; I told him the supervisor could call me. 5) Supervisor called me and tried to strong-arm me into agreeing to start work. First he said, and quot;You signed the contract.and quot; I told him about the added comment about client approval after the inspection. Then he said, and quot;We're very busy so we need to schedule this now.and quot; I told him I was gathering estimates and would get back to him. Then he said, and quot;I did the work to get this insurance approval for you so I expect to get this work.and quot; 6) I called the insurance examiner who said, and quot;I was very clear with Aloha that I CANNOT approve a claim.and quot; The examiner makes a recommendation, sends it to insurance, and it takes 1-2 weeks for a decision. THIS CLAIM HAD NOT BEEN APPROVED BY MY INSURANCE at the time Very Nice Guy called me to say they and quot;agreed to buy me a new roof.and quot; 7) I belatedly realized there is a whole section of fine print on the back of the contract. One provision says if I decide not to use Aloha after I sign the contract, I owe them 15%. (wait a minute, I thought I was signing it as a formality.) Another says if they start work and then cancel, I owe them more. That is apparently why they were in such a hurry to get me to choose roof tiles, which presumably constitutes starting the work. 8) I faxed over a cancellation within the allotted 3 day period (also on the back page fine print) and texted Very Nice Guy and his supervisor to let them know the contract is cancelled. My D'Oh! moments: - talking to someone who came door to door - buying into the and quot;you only have 3 days left to get a guaranteed inspectionand quot; pressure - not turning over the contract to look for fine print on the back page (D'Oh! squared) My recommendation to you: if you get caught with a signed contract after the 3 business day cancellation period has ended, call your insurance and cancel the claim. If the insurance hasn't approved it yet, that may void the contract because the contract says it is subject to insurance approval. (Don't know for sure if that will work, but it's worth a try.)

I wasn't very happy with them. I found out that they have some kind of issue with storm chasers. It was after a storm and they quickly approached us with the idea that we had field damage from two locations, our house and my mother-in-law's house, and when the adjuster came out he said that they have a terrible reputation for being amount chasers, but there are no damage to be done. I looked them up in some other locations and it was not a very good representation of them saying that they charge their stuff unnecessarily and also they manage to get money so that you will end up having to pay that insurance because the insurance wouldn't pay it. So, I didn't employ them. They are very persistent. They gave me the quote, but it was a pending quote, "they will see". So, basically that also fit with the description that I saw on one of the online issue with them that people would charge for stuff afterwards and they'll end up having to pay money and then try to talk them down because that was not exactly what was intentionally needed. So, part of it was left like thinking. They just turned me off. I was very pressured. So, I just didn't like that. The bottom line was that I found out that they just went down the street to go house-to-house. I just didn't like their approach and it was like of a hurry up kind of a thing. I read the information that they gave me and their contract was very interesting because it left a lot of stuff for interpretation. So, I wasn't very pleased with that. They were such a high pressure salesman. They were responsive. They appear to be professional.

It was excellent. The servers were phenomenal. They did exactly what they promised. They were always on time and answer all the calls if I have any questions. They took care of everything. They cleaned up after the job and the job was done right.

They did a good job. I was a little frustrated that they could show up randomly at my house to try and contact me rather than call me. I really feel like he was putting me on the spot to get a check from me when I was waiting on the insurance to pay. They did try and call to resolve that for me. They do do good work. What I didn't understand when I signed the contract was that I was required to use them. I submitted the information to get a check from my insurance and I thought I would be able to get other quotes and then decide but I had to use them instead of being able to find a cheaper company which was frustrating. They do good work, I don't have any complaints so far. It has only been a couple of months. When they take the satellite off of the roof, they put it back but they don't center it so I did have to pay the satellite company to come out and fix it after they moved the dish. I would advise people that they read the contracts very well before hiring them. They cover themselves well. They were clean, they picked up all of their junk. They didn't leave any nails or roofing tiles laying around anywhere. They were pleasant.

Aloha has been canvassing my neighborhood since last week and has come to my home three times (twice in the last 24 hours) indicating they can get me a new roof through my insurance company (due to damage from a past hailstorm). I politely took their brochures the first two times, but the third visit prompted me to write this review on AngiesList. I'm not sure what kind of quality work Aloha does (they may do a great job), however, the sales tactics are aggressive, bordering on harassment - i.e., the same sales guy has come to my door three times now and in his pitch he claimed that and quot;time is running outand quot; for making an insurance claim for the past storm that supposedly damaged my roof. Based on the aggressive sales approach that this company uses, I would personally be very careful about using them on any roofing job for my home.

They did an okay job. They would not do piece work even though I wanted piece work. They worked with my insurance company to do the job. They got me a whole new roof and new siding. The problem was that they tried to tell me what I needed to have done.

Aloha originally approched me by going door to door. They asked to see my roof, as it appeared I had hail damage. While they were looking, I looked them up on both Angie's list and the BBB. There was one non review on Angie's, concering an insurance company denial, but that could be the insurance company and not Aloha. BBB gave them an A- rating with any issues resolved. After inspection, they said I did have damage and they felf the roof could be replaced for the deductable only. I called my insurance co who sent out its own adjusters to review the work to be done. My insurance co agreed with Aloha, and I was sent a check for $12,500 to cover all issues. Aloha was extremely prompt with all appointments, and after each phase, they had a separate team check over all the work. Everything was cleaned up prompltly and all of the employees were very courteous. I decided that some of the aluminum in the back did not need to be replaced as the damage was cosmetic and no one would ever see it. Therefore,I didn't even have to pay the deductable. One of my neighboors had actually more damage than I, but his insurance denied the claim. Until you have your own insurance co come out, you can not tell what the outcome will be.

Considering the fact that it is winter, they timed everything perfectly. The siding was completely striped and replaced and totally cleaned up in one day. The same for the gutters only on the next nice day available. I was worried about the soft ground and mud and destroying my landscaping. That was not the case at all they were very careful and conscious of everything and when they were done, no mess was left behind. You wouldn't even know they were there except that my siding was a different color. I was was well informed of everything from the very beginning to the end. When they come knocking at your door to say you may have hale damage, let them check. They are pros.
