They never showed up to an appointment to give me an estimate. I had taken off work, and I'm very frustrated.

After calling to schedule an estimate, Dave at Stars was at our house the next day to take the measurements and provide an estimate. Stars cedar fence was the best estimate we received. We were able to schedule the installation within a week, and the crew was there promptly at 8:30 the day of, to install the fence. The entire crew was very nice and respectful of our yard. The fence was completely built onsite. It started to rain and the guys kept working to finish the project in one day. We did have one very minor problem with the fence so we called, and Stars was there to fix it. I would highly recommend Stars to others.

we dealt with Camilo from Stars Fence. we designed a custom fence and were able to work with Camilo from day one to figure out the best and most efficient way to build the design. typically it is hard to find a contractor so willing to do something custom. typically they only want to do something they have done before and are comfortable with. so i was happy to find someone like Camilo to work with. his workers were on time and on schedule. we had one issue where a few boards that were installed incorrectly and they had to come back out, but Camilo resolved the issue right away. one important thing to point out, Camilo answers his phone calls and/or returns calls right away. this may seem insignificant, but most contractors i deal with are fairly non-responsive or slow to respond.

The fence looks beautiful and is very large. I thought they were also very prompt and responsive, which was important because we couldn't let the dogs out on the yard until a new fence was installed. Overall, I thought they did a very good job and think their pricing was fair.

I had used the company before so i emailed them about replacing this section of old fencing. they came out and measured and emailed me the quote and the service was then scheduled. The installers were very efficient and cleaned up all the debris when they left. The fence looks great and the entire process was very easy.

Called Dave at Stars Fence and he came within a day to give us an estimate. Told us work could be performed around Labor Day, which it was. Work took about a half a day and they did a very nice job. Only complaint is that they didn't call day before to tell us they were coming. We were concerned about the new railings matching our old iron work. They made sure it blended nicely. Looks like the railings have always been there.

They were more expensive than I was willing to go. They were professional, punctual, and very responsive though.

They are excellent. The last time they did work for us, we paid $700. It was a very good experience. We have used them before, several years ago. They were very favorable. We wouldn’t have used them for the second time if they weren’t favorable. We have had absolutely no trouble with them. We have no problem recommending them to anybody. Our neighbors have also used them for their fencing needs. They are a very good company to work with and we will continue to use them.

I got several estimates for the new fence. Stars was the lowest, and I also found their rep to be very professional. Other reps spent more time schmoozing and trying to sell their companies. One place added all sorts of extra charges for removing and hauling the old fence. The Stars installation went well and the fence looks great and is functional.

On the date of the actual tearing down and reinstalling of the two posts, the work was done promptly, exactly to specifications, and the workers left no mess.

It went well. They were very good, the guy who came out and gave us the estimate was very professional. They worked with our schedule. I was impressed by the workers and how they worked around our landscape. They asked before they did any work.

I wanted a tall fence that would provide privacy while allowing good air flow to prevent problems for vegetation on each side of fence. Also wanted a fence with a 30 year life. Stars doesn't work with post masters (steel spikes that are embedding in the ground in cement and hold the posts above ground to avoid the rot problem of placing the posts in the ground). Instead they recommended using larger 9 foot posts embedded in the ground, to delay the time when rot would cause the fence to fall down. I looked at a lot of board on board fences, including one built with 3" spacing on the lot behind us. Decided they didn't allow enough privacy and came up with another design. Didn't ask Stars to rebid on the new design since they don't do post masters. Also, I looked at fences they had recently constructed in the neighborhood and decided that their work had become too sloppy and their wood too splintery and cracked for my tastes, though their older fences looked good.
