SIGNATURE LANDSCAPING

I loved them. I thought they were very good, and I would definitely recommend them. We have interacted on a continuous basis. I haven't used them prior to this time, but one of things that I experienced, is that we have a large area that needed to be reinstated in addition to the retaining wall and driveway, and we contacted a number of other places, but the job was just too big. It was not too big for signature. When Jeff came, he met with us a number of times, we walked the grounds, he listened to everything we needed and everything we wanted. He created a drawing that really helped us to visualize. The price was expensive, but nobody else would touch it, and so I can't say, but it was in line with what was acceptable. We are using them in spring, because the project was so large, we had to take it in chunks.

SigNature Landscaping removed concrete patio/sidewalk and replaced it with brick pavers. Also added driveway ribbons and covered brick stoops for three exterior doors with brick pavers. Jim began the process with a detailed review of our current situation and then put together a proposal that included drawings of the proposed project. Project began a little later in the spring than we wanted due to weather and the company's other spring commitments. Once started, the work took a couple weeks to complete. Along the way we made a few changes and asked Jim and his team to handle a couple other tasks (remove bushes). One item that was not included in the estimate and created an unexpected cost to the project was adding sod to some of the areas around the new pavers. We were very happy with the result.

Signatures' brick contractors did an excellent and thorough job which was quite extensive. Their costs were more favorable than others and there were able to do the retaining wall work that others thought would be too extensive. I was pleasantly surprised when they were able to arrange the completion of the project a month ahead of the planned timing, so that was great. Also, there were a few things that I didn't think were complete enough, and they came back and made sure everything was exactly to my liking within a matter of days, and then sent me pictures to show the completed work because I had to go out of town on business for a few weeks. All-in-all, very well done and I would certainly use them again. If you need brick paver work done, I would certainly recommend you contact John at Signature and have them propose. Note that Signature Landscaping is a division of SSU Corporation, also known as Sidney's Services in the Lake Bluff/Lake Forest area. There is another landscaping company by the name of Signature in the Chicago area that I found on Angie's list, but I do not believe it is related to this one.
