+ -1 moreThis is the third year I've used Sidney's Services for snow removal. I signed a contract in early November for the first 6 plows at $90 and $15 each additional plow for the winter of 2015-2016. They have always done a good job in previous years but the first snowplow near the end of November 2015 was not done very well and the driver left a lot of thick snow & ice covering most my driveway. He was obviously in a hurry. I called Sidney's to tell them it was not safe to walk on my driveway and sent them a photo. They were very apologetic on the phone and said they would send someone out to take care of it. Within about an hour another snowplow came and cleared all the snow & ice at no charge. I was very pleased with their response and prompt service.

Description of Work: DK Organics sold us several yards of their premium hardwood mulch. About 3 days after installation, every plant, every shrub and every tree in my yard either began to die or was seriously damaged. They took no responsibility for any of this, saying that the day it was installed must have been "too hot". The owner brought over their gardening expert who actually told us to stop watering. In A DROUGHT. i brought in so many plant experts to try and help, I lost track. I was desperate to save my garden and yard, 7 years of work. Everyone who saw it was horrified. The plants looked scorched as though someone had tossed acid on top of the leaves. Most of them died off. It was truly heartbreaking. We had to pay at our own expense for another company to come and get the mulch out 3 weeks later. DK/Sidney Services refused to take any responsibility for this disaster, even when it was so clear that something had contaminated their product. I have filed a complaint with the BBB, and made numerous calls, even attempting to get the mulch tested to see what was possibly in it. But because the time i sent the samples in had gone so long, it was impossible to trace. DK grinds up material for mulch from who knows where...old railroad ties? Imprelis trees that were removed from golf courses? Look up Imprelis if you want to know more. This is a truly bad company who does not care about the outcome. Its spring again. My yard is half the size it was. I wont forget this.

+ -1 moreThey damaged the door and installed them incorrectly. When the painters came they refused to paint them because they were installed wrong and un-paintable. I counted 19 mistakes including the tracking and hinges. It was a nightmare. I called them and they were very defensive and they refused to come back out. I settled with the BBB for $100.
Description of Work: They replaced two closet doors.

Description of Work: I had my windows cleaned inside and out at the same time that some other work was done (power washing). My only complaint is that the workers did not open the windows and clean the sills or any other interior areas of the window frame (my upstairs windows are casements. So those areas were just as dirtly as before the project,and some of them are very hard for me to reach, whereas it would have been easy for the window washers to get at them while the screens were off.

+ -1 moreThey come weekly to clean the house. They are always on time and really responsive to any kind of requests you have. They have a supervisor whom you can always call. They are very quiet. They are a little expensive, but their quality is good.

Description of Work: Housecleaning. With all the services out there, Sidney's seems like an unreasonable charge. But, I have been through ALL of them! Sidney's people are professional. They get the job done in 1/2 the time, they are not lazy, you can leave your home and return to a perfect job done. They send the same individual each week; they speak perfect English.

+ 0 moreThe service was satisfactory. They were not as detail oriented as we would like for them to be. They didn't clean up well after themselves. We had to call them back because they missed a few places. We thought the price was a little high.

+ -1 moreManager came to my house to provide an estimate on the project. He was rude and unhelpful. He gave me a price and I asked him to break it down for me. He said he just ''knew from experience'' what the cost would be but was unable to provide a breakout. Told me he felt the project was not worth the money and suggested I NOT do it. I called the company to inform them of my experience. The owner told me they have had several complaints about this one person, and he would have someone named Richard call me to go over my estimate. I never received a call from Richard.
Description of Work: Asked for Estimate for Medium Project - Move Washer and Dryer, build Wall and closet door.

WHEN THE TECHNICIAN CAME PROMPTLY, HE FIXED SEVERAL THINGS BUT HAD TO RESEARCH SOMETHING FOR AN OLD PRINT SHARING DEVICE HE HAD. HE RETURNED THE NEXT DAY, AT NO CHARGE, AND COMPLETED THE REPAIR. HE ANSWERED OUR QUESTIONS, WAS CAREFUL WITH OUR TIME, AND CLEANED UP AND ORGANIZED THE WORK AREA BEFORE HE LEFT. USUALLY, WE USE LOEWY CONSULTING BUT HE WAS OUT-OF-TOWN; LOEWY IS A ONE-MAN ORGANIZATION; THAT'S NICE BUT INCONVENIENT WHEN HE IS ON VACATION FOR 3 WEEKS. SIDNEY SYSTEMS SUPPORT GROUP DID A GREAT JOB FOR US.
