+ -1 moreBill Murphy Carpentry did about $20k of renovation exterior wood work on our house including Marvin windows. They are high integrity, diligent, top notch carpenters. The best on the North Shore as far as I am concerned.

Description of Work: Hung an in wall tv mount-replaced a door, fixed a door. Mike is great...really easy to work with and does great work. He will be our first choice for any contracting work we need in the future.

Description of Work: Replaced the front concrete porch which had pulled away from the house and replaced to concrete sidewalk slabs. Jack hammered the old concrete porch in the morning and had the re-bar and forms all done the first day. Second morning the cement truck came and did the pour. Late that afternoon they removed the forms. Contractor came back Friday morning and reinstalled the railing and posts to the porch room. Was done in a very professional manor.

+ -1 moreOverall the job was done when they said—they started on the date promised and finished when they said they would, even though I add a few additional projects not included in the original estimate. Of course the additional work added additional expense, but they made sure I was aware of how much it would be and made sure I was comfortable with the cost before proceeding.
Description of Work: I needed to replace eight windows plus the front door and sidelights. Murphy came highly recommended by the window manufacturer, so after checking out references we decided to use Murphy Carpentry. The crew was professional, respectful of our home and use and kept the areas where they were working spotless. Any issues were handled immediately and to our satisfaction. The new front door and sidelights were custom designs that I did, and they worked with me completely to accomplish my vision. The door and sidelights turned out so well that we have received so many compliments and neighbors have asked I help them design certain things for their homes. My wife and I were so pleased that we are having Murphy Carpentry bid on some other projects right now. They may be slightly more expensive than other contractors, but I've always believed you get what you pay for. And what we got was a professional, courteous crew and outstanding finished product from a company with integrity.

+ -1 moreThe job was performed on a time/materials basis, and completed the same day in a very professional manner. I rate the price as 'fair' only because I don't really know that going rate for certain kinds of work. Murphy Carpentry did a super job and I would certainly get quotes from them on any jobs in the future.
Description of Work: Several pieces of wood siding were rotting. Several pieces of window sill and window trim were in need of repair/replacement due to water damage. These items were replaced and caulked.
