My brick home is 50 years old and the chimney was falling apart and needed spots of tuckpointing. I know project manager Andy Orsini from the neighborhood and his own home, of a similar vintage, is kept in great shape. He came over and worked up a contract including photos of the most problematic areas and pointed out the plumbing flashing appeared to be getting chewed up. He thought the job would take two days. The estimate was in June, but I had a lot going on and wanted to wait until August. I was able to call in mid-August and get started on August 29 (one day rain delay). The crew arrived a few minutes early. They took apart the chimney and saved the bricks, a few were suitable for re-use but most were falling apart. Still, my dad wanted to save them for other projects, so the crew moved them to our screen porch. They spent one day with the chimney and flashing the next half day on the tuckpoint and window caulk. Everything looks good. Andy is going to seal the chimney when he does his own later this fall. The final cost was about $100 under the original estimate.

I HAVE BEEN THROUGH SEVERAL BUILDERS IN THE LAKE FOREST AREA AND JIM IS THE BEST. GETS THE JOB DONE EFFICIENTLY AND CLEANS UP AFTER HIMSELF. QUALITY IS THE HIGHEST OF ALL THE AREA BUILDERS AND HE ACTUALLY LISTENS TO WHAT YOU ARE SAYING.
