Description of Work: Fall clean-up, spring clean-up (and mid-summer visit): leaves were rakes, borders were edged and defined, mulch was delivered and spread over an acre or so.

+ -1 moreGreenhaven Landscapes, Inc provides us with Periodic Maintenance Proposal in January which we review and make a decision as to how much work we wish to have performed during the season. If necessary, a revised proposal is presented to us. After signing, we are informed by the office a few days before the crew will arrive to perform the scheduled work. They are always prompt and efficient. Any questions we pose have been answered in a timely manner.
Description of Work: David Hoxie has been assisting us with our landscaping needs since 2012. He has installed French drains, and installed a new decorative bed as well as helping to maintain our existing beds. He has excellent crews working for him. David is amenable to personalize maintenance services to our needs and has excellent suggestions to adapt the services performed to our needs.

Description of Work: Provide all utility marking and permits. Cut down one large and four medium size trees, damaged by last year's storm. Grind down one medium tree stump below grade (the others were too close to the underground utilities). Pull up sixty 4x4" fence posts. Regrade 240 square feet in the back yard and remove excess soil. Regrade 150 square feet in the back yard and remove excess soil and ten landscape timbers. Provide dumpster and haul away of all debris, including stockade fence sections and material from 20x20' shed structure, both demolished earlier by the owner.

+ 0 moreDavid came out and went over everything--how much I wanted things pruned back, etc. They did a wonderful pruning job, including cleaning up all the debris. The next week I had some tree trimming done by another company and they complimented the work that Greenhaven had done, commenting that they really knew what they were doing. The spring cleanup went well also. Three guys worked 8 hours solid and filled a truck with debris. The garden looks wonderful.
Description of Work: This work includes two separate contracts. The first was to trim the bushes that surround our house and lot: 3 mock orange, 6 burning bush, 1 Japanese Kerria, 4 large viburnums, 10 bridal wreath, 3 large weigala, and 8 honeysuckle. The other contract was for spring cleanup including edging all the beds and trimming smaller woodies.

+ 1 moreThe owner came out beforehand to look over the situation and make an estimate. He had several suggestions of ways to improve the look of the garden. The day of the work the owner came out and marked where the edging was to be done, often six inches out from that previously used. The workers were extremely efficient, strong, and polite. No loud radios, etc. They cleaned up very well after their visit.
Description of Work: Edged all flower beds and around trees in the parkway. Installed mulch where edged. Removed sod in a side yard to enlarge a mulch walkway and planting space. Trimmed bushes that were overhanging walkways. Removed three rogue trees from a hedge. Cut off branches that had been damaged in the storm, only a few.

+ 0 moreMy husband said that their prices were high and he may be right about that. The president of the company made an appointment with me and confirmed it. He showed up when he said he was going to. He walked the property with me. He gave me a thorough estimate. So far they have been good with their work. I'm very happy with their work. They are a little bit high on price. I think they deliver what they say they're going to do. They are very busy and I’m not surprised about it. I had to wait for a paper quote. Actually I got an in writing quote from them.
Description of Work: Greenhaven Landscapes came out on 17th June to do the spring clean up, the lawn maintenance, transplanting and removal work.

+ 1 moreThe curb appeal to my house is fantastic! Excellent! Very professional, prompt and FAST. The work was completed in 2 days. The pruning of the roses used to take my husband and I a week at least, and Greenhaven did a much better job than we ever did.
Description of Work: 1: Fall clean up 2: Pruned very large and overgrown roses along my house 3: Removed 2 trees near front foundation. 4: Transplanted and split lilies, transplanted roses 5: Installed peony, 3 shrub roses, 6' Autumn Brilliance pine and 5 garnet virginia Sweetspine 6: Added steppers from front walk to lawn for occasions and dog path 7: Removed clay soil before planting and added new soil amendment. 8: In my backyard the addition of 3 burning bush around utility box.

+ 0 moreDavid and his crew have been doing all my landscape and gardening work for the past four years (prior to that they did some of the work) and I can't speak highly enough about the professionalism and timeliness of their crews. The home office always follows up in a timely manner and I've never had them miss an appointment (that's weekly for 4 years). The quality of their work is impeccable and makes it look like I have a full time gardener working on my property.
Description of Work: Most recently they completed a spring clean up and prepared the rather large yard and gardens for the upcoming season. I also use them as my primary contractor for all yard and garden work throughout the year including clean up, de-thatching, mowing, raking, trimming, pruning, gardening, etc. They are a full service outfit that also does wonderful planning and acquisition of gardens with plants, trees, shrubs and all other needs you might have.
