AVOID AT ALL COSTS. My update: filed a claim with the IL Attorney General. They don't mediate individual claims so they suggested filing a complaint in small claims court. Which we will. Original review... Going with a holiday grinch theme: the three words that describe this company best is defective, rude and deceptive. Bought a pricey tree online from Treetime in December 2015. Worked fine that first year. But in December 2016, after assembling and decorating, found a whole set of lights weren't working. Despite the claim "strands stay lit even with broken, burned out, or missing bulbs", they do not! Hundreds of dollars spent on tree that worked for one year. Defective. After Christmas, undecorated the tree and spent hours troubleshooting based on the company's literature: using the "leapfrogging" method to find bad bulbs and checked all fuses. This did not work. Called the company on the morning of 1/15: no one answered the customer service line. Left a message; no callback. Called again in early February. Spoke to a woman and explained the issue. Listening was not her specialty; she repeatedly spoke over me. The gist: too bad; somehow their defective tree was my fault. Rude. She did begrudgingly agree to send me some replacement lights and gave more instructions... that required changing every bulb in the affected strand while the tree was not lit. More hours of troubleshooting on our end. The tree still does not work. Call again today. First get disconnected three times prior to even speaking to anyone. When I did finally get to "customer service," it's the same woman. Equally unhelpful. Equally rude. Constantly talking over me. And now she wants me to drive the tree to Barrington, 40 miles away, for them to look at. They will fix FOR A FEE. More good money after bad. Deceptive. I suggested they come to pick it up instead, but that was "not something they do." Just like they don't do customer service. Now the expensive tree is in the garbage; I've wasted hours of time trying to troubleshoot a defective product; and frustrated by the general rudeness. Avoid.

They have delightful, high quality items. They make fairytale vinyas that whisk you away and you don’t even realize you’re in a warehouse. The staff is very nice and helpful. The higher end products are more expensive, but they have different quality levels to find something in everyones price range.
