BEWARE - DDD&G Development and Restorations LLC was found GUILTY of both POOR WORKMANSHIP and FRAUD in IL Cook County Court!!!! DD&G Development and Restorations LLC and its owner David Schwager should be avoided at all costs as they swindled me out of about $28,000. I was forced to pursue legal action against them in IL Cook County Court and they were found GUILTY of both POOR WORKMANSHIP and FRAUD in IL Cook County Court after they abandoned the two bathroom remodeling job I contracted them to do and even though they now have a final judgment against them for damages of $38,063.72 they refuse to pay. Companies like this should not be allowed to have profiles on Angies List. Personally I would be wary of any high value ratings posted, as based on the pattern of numerous false and untrue statements Schwager provided me regarding his certifications and workmanship my opinion is that these likely may not actually be "real" customers. Here is my personal construction nightmare with DD&G Development and Restorations LLC and its owner David Schwager: ---- I have a two story bilevel slab house that I share with my wife and three young children. We had a pipe freeze over Christmas 2012 and reached out to DD&G and David Schwager as owner in April 2013 to help fix the two bathrooms that had major water damage. We contracted with DD&G Development and Restoration LLC who then proceeded to tear up our house over the course of an entire year in which their workers continuously missed showing up at agreed times and when they did show up they caused major structural damage to my house that am now forced to repair since they have walked off the job and will not honor the 1 year warranty for even though they had been paid upfront. The chicanery does not end there, DD&G also operated without getting proper permits from the Village - even though David Schwager indicated he was getting these - and they performed modifications to my existing Radon Mitigation system even though DD&G was not licensed to do this as required by IL State law. During the course of an entire year in which they were unable to remodel just two bathrooms, David Schwager was repeatedly notified of leaking water, gas, and damage done to a new bathroom tub installed which DD&G never fully mitigated. DD&G also cut into structural foundational joists that now have to be replaced as well as did electrical work that has been reviewed by a certified electrician as being a fire risk that has to be completely removed and reinstalled. Due to DD&G leaving the contracted job they were paid for and my house being left a construction disaster and fire risk that my family (2 adults and 3 children) has had to live in, was forced into having to pursue legal action against DD&G and David Schwager - in which DD&G Development and Restorations was found GUILTY by the IL Municipal Circuit Court of FRAUD in giving false credentials and advertising as well as POOR WORKMANSHIP in failing to perform in a workmanlike manner requiring previous DD&G work to be removed and redone. Am currently working with a new contractor who has to replace all of DD&G?s work that David Schwager?s company did ? who continue to be amazed at DD&G poor workmanship as they find use of double sided tape to hang tile with no grout, no insulation put behind drywall exterior walls, and the installed bathtub never sealed to wall which caused water damage, etc. - while still waiting on DD&G and its owner Schwager to pay the $38,063.72 judgment for damages awarded on 7/24/2015. ----- Recommend to not use DDD&G Development and Restorations LLC or deal with its owner David Schwager unless you are able to pay double for the work (once to DD&G and the other for someone to fix it) and also a lawyer and court costs if you plan to hold David Schwager's company to his word and promise that he operates a reputable company who does professional work and is there to help you and your family. In December of 2012 I had a fire in my kitchen, which left significant damage. I spent 4 months trying to come up with a suitable design for a complete remodel. After paying several designers for plans, and having a series of contractors give unrealistic estimates, I was losing hope. I went on Home Advisor one morning to look for someone to glaze my windows and ended up getting contacted by David Schwager from DD&G. He called within minutes of my request and came out that morning to give an estimate. As we were sitting at my kitchen table, I told him of my frustration with the kitchen. In a matter of minutes he looked around and gave me the best ideas possible, given my space. He then followed up with an estimate that was reasonable for the scope of the project (unlike other contractors who tack on extra money just because I live in a nice neighborhood). Needless to say, I was elated and we went under contract the next day. David listens intently and works with you to create your dreams. He has incredible vision and can not only give you his ideas but can also take your ideas and make wonderful suggestions. The end result for me was something greater than I ever could have imagined on my own. I also have to admit that there were a few challenging moments (like when I changed my mind on something that I previously approved, or I had expectations that some things would be done faster than they were) however David remained the consummate professional through it all. It was a pleasure doing business with him and I am sure I will be contacting him for future services.

doors put in wrong/windows all had to be replaced because put in wrong and were leaking/deck had 2 layers of paint that peeled off because he decided to paint it in the middle of August over other paint/paver patio is uneven so the pavers have to be fixed/wet bar area never grouted and broken tile pieces/ scratched up brand new wood floors and didn't fix/he even put the storm door handle on upside down/humidifier never finished being put in/stairway spindles were put in 6 inches apart which is not code Paid for outdoor lights ,kitchen switch plates , bar tapper and refrigerators ,black granite tops for my coffee and side tables he took the tables and I never saw them or the granite and all this was paid for up front. Finally had to call Handymen & Mrs. Helper to come out and redo things and I have been told electric is incorrect and faulty, plumbing isn't even right parts. People have come in this house shocked at what they have had to fix and clean up!! This job took 2 years because towards the end he just wouldn't show
