THE HEATING & COOLING WORKS

Stay away from this contractor at all costs. This is the worst work I have ever had done, ever. I am blown away by what passes for professional work nowadays. I had a new 2nd floor AC/heating system installed by Carl, and the job is absolutely terrible. I am on the verge of tearing the entire system out and redoing it all myself. The unit leaks water into the ceiling, it was left on a couple cinder blocks, it is not level, there is no backup shutoff in the pan, but there were cigarette butts and screws left in the pan. The fittings for the pan were left loose and will leak if water finds its way to the pan. Duct work looks like spaghetti, no thought whatsoever was given to running my system. I framed my attic for the system to go in one spot, they simply moved it where they liked and not it is nearly inaccessible. There was no P trap for the condensate line so sewer gas backs into my attic. The cherry on top is in a brand new stack, these jokers hacked into my stack with a saw all, taped over it with duct tape, and poked the drains thru the tape. Father and son were here doing the work, swearing at each other the whole time. Left these people a message in July, no answer back. This outfit is everything that contractor nightmares are made of, do not use, I wouldn’t trust this guy to mount an AC unit in my window

Mini split had several problems and leaks. Refused to come out and fix the issue. Please look this company up at BBB.

Carl installed a ductless A/C in our home that was paid for by the sellers. We purchased the house and realized the A/C wasn't working properly. We called Carl and he stated "He stands by his work" and they will come check it out. Initially they said the system just was never charged (refrigerant added) so they charged the unit and everything was cooling fine. After a few weeks the system stopped cooling and we finally got a hold of Carl to look at it again. He was definitely avoiding our calls at this point. He came by one more time to charge the unit and stated there is a leak in the system. This was the last time that someone stopped by. I scheduled one appt and they were a no show. He has screened my calls and not responded to any calls/texts. After talking with several other HVAC companies they have stated that a refrigerant leak is 100% a bad install. So these guys botched the install and don't want to fix it. We currently have a BBB complaint and he has not responded. Please view his other BBB complaint to see how he has treated another customer in a similar fashion. Or best yet avoid this company altogether. Just horrible customer service.
