Even with the extended hastle (5 months) of getting unincorporated Cook County permits Terance was there for me to calm me down when it got frustrating. The quality of work was excellent all the way thru the project. Once permits were obtained, the project was completed in a couple weeks. And the final cost was exactly as quoted. "OCP Construction renovated two bathrooms & finished our basement in 2023. This company is minority-owned and claims to be for the community. They are licensed and insured. The crew was great - Diego and the rest of the team were punctual, respectful, and the work was decent. Communication was a huge struggle and overall disappointment. They were rude and pushy to my mother. They went directly to my parents a lot even though my name was on the contract and the checks. Possible prejudice against my gender and age? Who knows. They tried to charge me double for the doors in our basement if I hadn’t caught it. Called them this spring to give us an estimate for leak in basement. NO PRIOR COMMUNICATION OR AGREEMENT and they cut up the drywall to find the leak. They didn’t ask for payment till 5 months after the fact. And they insisted they repaired the pipe when they very much did not. They are disorganized, unprofessional, and all they care about is money. I will never call them again."
