+ -1 moreJaime, the owner, was able to find the discontinued Sunbrella matching fabric--i knew the name and had fabric number! I had made many calls with no luck, and she found some in just three calls. I bought every yard she found (4.5), just in case, for future issues! She told me repairs would probably take 3 to 4 weeks. How exciting to get a call two weeks after dropping them off that they were done! Look great, feel great, can't wait to use them.
Description of Work: Outdoor cushions (four big) needed repair--a squirrel had damaged them!

Description of Work: I have to say that we haven't done the upholstery project we discussed some months ago ( I am not sure of the date, as it if off my calendar as of now) but the shop sent out a very nice woman who listened to my concerns, measured the two chairs that I was interested in having upholstered and was very helpful. She even took a look at two additional chairs at my request, as I wasn't sure that they were worth salvaging. The cost is a round figure for the original two chairs. |I found the prices to be in line with other shops, based on information obtained from friends. We may still complete the project

+ -1 moreWe were shown many, many beautiful fabric samples in a range of prices. The assistant was sensitive to our color and fabric choices, as well as to our budget. We chose a lovely fabric (after rejecting another fabric as being too expensive) and left the store satisfied. A few days later, we received a call from the owner -- the fabric we had chosen was no longer available, but she offered to recover the chair with our second-choice (more expensive!!) fabric for the original, lower price. We were thrilled, and were thrilled again when we picked up the chair two weeks later. La Grange Upholstery did a beautiful, professional job with our precious heirloom, and we couldn't be more pleased. I've never seen it look better -- the chair may last another 100 years!
Description of Work: Recovered the cushioned seat of an early-20th century family heirloom, a Morris chair.

The associate who assisted us showed fabric in a range of prices, which came in handy, because we later got a call telling us that the fabric we chose was no longer being made. The owner offered to upholster the piece with a more expensive fabric, one that we had discussed initially but rejected due to price. My only wish was that we had been contacted when the piece was finished, rather than having to call and check.
Description of Work: Had antique Morris chair reupholstered.

Description of Work: I had an appointment for a representative of this company to come out and provide an estimate. I had been provided with an hour window of arrival. When no one and arrived by 20 minutes into the hour, I thought I'd call to confirm somene was coming. When I called I was put on hold with no explanation. When someone finally called, the woman told me she was supposed to come out but the woman who made the appointment had not put it in the calendar. She said she could come out. I asked how long the drive would take, because she did not address this issue. I later found out she was the owner. She never apologized, never explained how often this occurred, never said what she would do to protect me in the future. In short, she did nothing to retain my business. Note: the website is converting some of my punctuation into ,. Sorry.

+ -1 moreLaGrange Upholstery was the best experience I've ever had. I knew it was going to be a tough job. They came out to give me an estimate the same day I called, and after looking at the material I purchased and giving me an estimate, I decided to contract them to do the work. The representative who came asked if she could take the chairs that evening. They called a week later to deliver the chairs on a Friday at 5:30pm. At exactly 5:30pm they were at the door. They had stuffed the seats and backs and polished the wood. My chairs looked better than new. They are the best!!
Description of Work: I have four kitchen chairs that are on rollers. I had bought my own material. I needed the padding replaced and the chairs reupholstered.

+ -1 moreI brought the chair in. They gave me an immediate quote and as I had the fabric, I left it. They quoted 3 weeks to finish it, but called after a week and said it was complete. When I went to pick it up, I did not like one part of the cording so left it to be redone. They called in 2 days and it was complete. They delivered it at no charge within the week. The chair looks great and the price was reasonable.

+ -1 moreAlthough I chose to use fabric that I already owned, I was impressed by the selection in the shop. They have hundreds of choices from several manufacturers. The staff was extremely efficient and professional. And the workmanship is outstanding. My chairs look beautiful!
