He is very honest. The price was reasonable. He matched the shingles with the architect in my gated community. He met with the director to make sure he met with all the regulations of the community. He took extra care to make sure none of my plants and landscaping was harmed. They cleaned up all the mess. The work was done very quickly. The crew are all very hard workers.

Terrible. He just disappeared after a very convincing story that he had been in business for quite some time and could always find a source for roofing problems. There was never a problem he couldn't fix. Very eager (seamed to be) to tackle our roofing problems and took the time to investigate the situation, just never followed up with anything.

The whole job went great. The hardest part was just getting started. Pete Ciraulo is busy so it is difficult for him to give an exact estimate of when he can get to your job. In the end, we worked with both of our schedules for a good day to start. Once they started, they didn't fool around. The guys started right at 7 and worked until dark. They cleaned up after themselves and did a high quality job. Pete was on site every day and called every night to update me and see if I had any questions. That is worth a lot. I can't say these guys are cheap but if you want the job done right and you want it to look good, hire these guys.

We had at least ten different companies come out to do estimates. Prices ranged from $3K to $15K. Pete provided the most detailed and complete explanation of issues concerning the problems with our roof and then provided a very clear and detailed estimate for the work. In sum, we had the greatest confidence in his estimate. Pete's staff was professional and courteous. The work was done quickly, efficiently, and neatly. We are very happy we went with Ciraulo and our roof problems are now over (for at least 30 years)! Update August 2011: I am still waiting for a phone call back for the company to come and take care of items covered under warranty - fix loose roof tile/ replace a tile that was ripped off; and fix loose gutters and soffit.

It was an impressive and professional job. Prices ended up being higher than estimated due to upgrades and adding on the garage. We had lower estimates, but friends highly recommended them and I liked the blogs on Angie's List. Pete explained our concerns and alternatives all along the job process. Without hesitation, he called his staff back to adjust two issues promptly. During his initial estimate visit, he noticed an urgent spot that needed repair. He went to his truck and patched the spot without even getting our business. His staff are amazing, hard and polite workers. This company took a little time to start the job, but it was worth the wait. I highly recommend them.

Responded to initial phone call quickly. Took a little long to receive the contract, but when received was detailed and fair. Second meeting was told that he would call within 4 weeks to start project, and that it would take 4 days to complete. Called 2 weeks later, started on a Wednesday and finished on Saturday. Roof was completely removed; some plywood was replaced, including an eve (which was not in the contract); new material placed on roof with new vents, stack flashings, chimney flashing, power ventilator. Area was cleaned of debris, gutters were blown free of dirt. The final amount was $300 higher than the original estimate due to extra materials needed for one particularly bad part of the roof.

Good. Pete met with us at our home and spent a few minutes giving us honest and well thought out information. He said they hand-nail all the shingles which impressed me. I don't know what other companies do, but our roof is 1x boards, not plywood, and it has gaps in it. It's important to hand-nail this type of roof, in my opinion, because with hand nailing you know if you've sunk a nail into the gap and need to re-nail a particular area. We liked the info that Pete provided and plan on using him to do our roof - but we're going to wait till next year so we can save some money first.

Returned phone call and stated that they were too busy with complete roofing jobs to complete repair work.

Pete came out and explained in detail the work that his crew would do and the amount of time it would take. In addition he gave us a quote on the spot. It was apparent at that point that he had been doing this for some time. After addressing a few questions he had some one out in less than two weeks (on the day he quoted) and his crew began work. They did an exceptional job, the crew was polite and professional. Pete was there each day to ensure they were on plan and it quickly became apparent he treated this like it was his own house in that he made sure his crew "touched up" a few other areas of the house to ensure the job looked great. After they finished the crew cleaned up and did a phenomenal job. The job wasn't simple as we had a few dormers and they had to replace some of the underlying roof, but they still managed to finish in only 2 days!

Spoke with Peter. He made himself available within 1 business day of my initial call. Did a thorough inspection of the attic and roof. Spotted one small hole and fixed immediately. Spent time speaking with me about the work he had done and was very straight forward in his answers.

Pete was always on time. He was the most knowledgeable of all the roofers I spoke to. His workers were fantastic. They showed up on time and worked very hard. They did a terrific job. They did an excellent job of clean up when they were done. I found everyone to be very professional.

They fixed everything and they did a really good job. They ran into problems because the stucco was cracking and breaking off in big chunks and they repaired everything and you really could not even tell. They cleaned up behind themselves. They were very careful about my wife's garden on the side of the house. They had to come when weather would allow. He was very good with professionalism and so was the crew.

It is true joy and pleasure to find an honest roofer. My relocation company performed a pre-listing inspection and noted concerns about moisture in the attic, Pete spent a lot of time both discussing the issue with me, inspecting the attic, and writing a report to the relo company explaining why there was NOT a moisture issue. After the relo company then insisted on a re-inspection, they then demanded replacing some flashing around a chimney (unrelated to the attic moisture issue- the flashing didn't look pretty). When I called Pete for the job, he kept insisting it was not necessary, and was very reluctant to even take my money. As I did not have a choice in the matter, and explained the situation, he sent someone out the very next day. The guys were great, picked up after themselves, and the flashing looks nice. I highly recommend him due in no small part to his professionalism and honesty. He will tell you if something needs fixed or not, and truly understands roofing.

We signed a contract and put no money down. After signing the contract, he has not responded or returned phone calls after 7 months.

I needed some shingles repaired quickly per our real estate sales contract for our home. I called Pete and he told me they usually only do big jobs, but he would stop by and look at it the next morning. He came by early the next morning, saw that the repairs were minor and got on the roof himself and did the work. He also inspected the entire roof to make sure all the other shingles were properly nailed down. It only took him a few minutes so he didn't charge me anything. He emailed me a verification that the work was done to give to our buyers and told me to have them call him if they had any questions or problems. I was impressed with him and would definitely recommend his company to others.

So Pete wasted our whole summer and our roof still leaks, but we can't have anyone on the roof if there is threat of snow, so we have to wait 'til next year to go on a list. Thanks, Pete, you're a real professional.

We were very pleased with all aspects of the job, from the initial estimate through the final clean-up. Everything went on schedule, the roof looks great, and all waste materials were picked up. I would recommend them without hesitation.

They were excellent and everything across the board was an A plus. They showed up on time and did the work very fast. They cleaned up after themselves and they actually ended up doing more than what we were supposed to have done at no additional charge.

Overall we are very pleased. The owner was extremely friendly and patient.

The contractor was very professional. Mr. Ciraulo provided me an estimate in a timely manner. When the work was completed, he checked back with me to insure that I was pleased with the work. My roof looks great and the crew was very meticulous in their clean-up. I was very pleased with their work and with the finished product.

I called Pete Ciraulo and left a message about my severely leaking roof. He did call back while I was at work and left his cell phone number. When I called him, he told me he would stop by and check the roof later that day. He never arrived nor did he call back.

Pete came out promptly to estimate the work. We called 4 different companies, but only Pete used a ladder and get up to the roof. He was the only one to point out a pretty noticeable problem with the roof. His demeanor is honest and easy to talk to. The extra lumber added $1400 to the estimate. Pete showed us at the estimate why that would happen and we were not surprised. He procured the village permit. Work began within the estimated 2 - 3 weeks. Pete said the work could take 2 - 3 days but it was completed in 1 day. The crew was hardworking and considerate. Clean up was very thorough. We were very happy with their work and would definitely recommend this company.

I called Ciraulo & Sons after another roofing company had performed repair work on a leaking roof. After spending $1000 with that other company, and still having water come in, I checked Angie's List for another opinion. The company that did the repair work told me the only thing I could do was to tear off the roof and put on a new on. Peter came out and took a look at the roof and found the problem within 5 minutes. A carpentry nail was sticking out of the roof and water was seeping in. He repaired the hole and I haven't had any water since. Considering the flooding rains we have had since then, I am fully confident the problem has been solved. He spent quite a bit of time with me a and didn't charge me a dime. I asked for a quote for a new roof because I know that I will need a new roof within 5 years. His estimate was well below the first company's estimate. I would trust this company with any repair or roofing work that needs to be done. He is a rare find!

My experience with this company was excellent from start to finish. The owner responded promptly to my request for an estimate (given the fact that he is present at his job sites and oversees his crew). He is very personable and comes up with ideas and solutions. He was detailed in his proposal. He explained exactly what was going to be done and how. He explained that he could only approximate the time when work would begin and it would be short notice, due to weather, but showed up (on night before notice) on the scheduled date. I was impressed by the work ethic of his crew (a working foreman and about 5 or 6 other men). They show up early,stay late, clean up each day, and there is no goofing around at all! All you hear is pounding hammers and the sound of saws (in my case) and see a lot of daily progress. Start to finish, 2 days. I was also very pleased at the amount of time the owner spent on site and on roof and his confidence in his ability to perform a complex job.

A+. They guys came out the next day, provided an immediate estimate and stuck to it! They did the entire job in one day. They were unbelievable! I was extremely impressed!
