Mona Lisa provides outstanding services from the start to the finish. Their designers are top of the field in the area and we cannot say enough positive things about them. We have high expectations for client service and our expectations were met and exceeded. Val at Mona Lisa is exceptional in her design work, attention to detail, support of her clients, and customer service from the beginning through the end. We did not use Mona Lisa to install our tile as it was already built into an existing contract, but we wish we would have used them for installation as well and will do so in the future. Even given that, when we had problems with the installation from our contractor, Mona Lisa did not abandon us but remained firmly in touch and engaged for consultation, problem resolution, and follow-up. Furthermore our projects were fairly small in terms of size of rooms yet we never felt like a small client... individual attention and respect was provided every step of the way. Finally our tile design in the end is stunning and completes the project as Mona Lisa listened to what we were trying to accomplish and went above and beyond

Went in explaining the job I needed help with. Individual was either uninterested or flat out didn't want to help. I asked a few questions, showed some pics, etc. She was very nonchalant. I realized they weren't interested in gaining a local client so I said thanks and left. I saw a review elsewhere mimicking my experience.

The tile is pretty. I did have some problems. The price came to almost double from what they originally quoted me because they said that there was something they didn't realize was going to be a problem even though they came out and surveyed the area first. So the price was double and also when they had a crew here they dumped some trash in my bushes. There was also a problem with the installation that had to correct. But I will say to their credit they corrected it and that was it.

Very, very pleased with these folks. Val helped in choosing tile, patiently explained my options, and proposed a lovely design that I probably would not have come up with on my own. After I ordered the tile, I decided to go with them for installation, figuring that they would do justice to the high-quality tile that they sold. I was not disappointed. The installation was BEAUTIFUL -- the herringbone pattern over my range was planned and proportioned perfectly, and the subway tile was set in perfectly even rows. Everything was cleaned up afterward and Val called to make sure I was happy with the project. I was delighted -- the backsplash is the standout of our kitchen renovation. They are not cheap, but I have learned the hard way that when it comes to tile work, you get exactly what you pay for. It is such detail-oriented work, and there are a lot of people who (literally) cut corners in the business. During our renovation, I trusted our contractor's tile guy with our bathroom tile -- big mistake. He was not a professional tilesetter, more of a jack-of-all-trades, and his lack of attention to detail is painfully evident in the work -- to the point that I am going to have to rip out some of it and re-do it. I decided not to make that mistake with the kitchen -- to pay a little more upfront, and rest assured that it would be done properly the first time. It was. I wish I had gone that route with my bathrooms -- given what I have to pay to replace the work, I am probably spending more on the tile work than I would have if I had started with Mona Lisa. Anyway, the kitchen backsplash is beautiful and I can't stop staring at it. It is like a work of art on our kitchen wall. As I said they are pricey -- but I am giving them a "B" for price instead of a "C" because they did such a stunning job and it was worth every penny. You could undoubtedly pay less elsewhere -- but you will probably not get the professionalism and attention to detail that I got with Mona Lisa Tile.

They have a beautiful selection. Their people were great about helping pick out tile. They have a great area for kids to play. They made recommendations for an installer.

They made a mistake in cutting the hole for the kitchen sink, despite the fact that we supplied the sink manufacturer's template. Their stone mason thought he "knew better" and that the template must be wrong. It wasn't, but he was. The piece couldn't be used, because the mason cut the hole too big. The owner refused to admit it was their mistake. She refused to replace the piece and attempted to charge us for the replacement piece. We refused to pay for the replacement piece. She then instructed her workman to not install the sink, and they walked off the job. That delayed completion of our kitchen remodeling by 2 weeks, during which we had no kitchen. She then placed a workman's lien on our house, which included a claim for materials that we had considered but never ordered and never received. I'm a lawyer, so I followed the statute and sent them a letter demanding they either sue us or remove the lien. They didn't sue, so the lien was removed. The owner is dishonest and unethical.
