Mid-America was very professional. The sump pump and battery back up failed in the basement. They provided an estimate in less than 24 hours and started to work on removing the carpet padding. The crew had to move furniture around in the basement in order to get at all of the wet padding. Mid-America came back daily to check on the moisture levels and went the extra mile to make sure the moisture was gone. Once the moisture levels were fine they installed new padding and installed the carpeting. The carpet was cleaned very well.
Description of Work: Flood Restoration Mid-America Property service ran 2 dehumidifiers to pull excess moisture out of the basement. Removed wet padding, bagged prior to removing from the basement. Padding was placed at curbside for disposal. Dry and treated oval rug in the workshop. Extracted water from exposed concrete. Treated underside of carpet, concrete and all other flooring with a EPA registered disinfectant to reduce risk of mold growth. Placed carpet driers in spots to dry underside of the carpet. Had fans and dehumidifiers running for one week. Came and checked moisture levels every day for a week. Also checked the moisture content in the walls. Reinstalled the padding and carpet. Steam cleaned carpet and stairs.

We noticed mold on our bathroom ceiling and in our son's bedroom closet. Ernesto came out to check on the mold growth. He went up in our attic to see if there was a leak of some kind to be causing the ceiling mold growth. He said that there was no leak. He checked the closet, too. Ernesto decided that we had a minor mold problem, and he gave us some recommendations for cleaning the mold ourselves. He said he would do, but he felt that we could do it and save a lot of money. The estimate was free.
Description of Work: Ernesto came out and checked on a mold problem in our home. He looked for water leaks in our attic. He inspected the mold in the bedroom closet. He examined the walls for damage.

Ernesto came out and did the estimate for us. He was very nice, and did a great job explaining the process and what we should expect, the price, and about how long it would take. The men who came to do the work were friendly, and got right to work. They made sure they contained the bathroom really well, so I didn't have a lot of dust during the process which made me very happy. When they were done, they cleaned up after themselves, and didn't leave a mess in my house.
Description of Work: We discovered mold growing in our master bathroom behind the vanity and near the toilet area.

My property recently developed a mold problem and I called Mid America and spoke to Ernesto. We scheduled an appointment for him to come out to the property, inspect the mold issues, and provide me an estimate for mold removal and repair/reconstruction of any drywall, tile, etc. that would need to be removed. We agreed that he would get back to me by the next day, at the latest. He did show up for the inspection, but never got back to me concerning the estimate, even though I left him 3 messages. The lack of any response speaks to his professionalism and tenacity.
Description of Work: No services were performed since Ernesto never returned an estimate.
