Good-They started at 9:30 and were done by 2. We just needed the back fence replaced. It seems immovable right now, and looks great. Originally we had it scheduled for a day I was off work, but the date got moved because of weather and I had to take off work. We are satisfied for the money, and they gave us what we asked for.

We put our fence in in 2011 and when I called to get the post top fixed, they knew everything about our project. The fence has held up extremely well. One of the neighbor's tree branches fell and broke the topper on one of our fence posts. The lady on the phone was polite and scheduled the tech to come out and fix it. He arrived on time and you wouldn't know anything bad had happened to it. Thanks Cedar Rustic!

Alfredo and his crew did a great job in a short amount of time. We were/are very pleased with the teardown of our old fence, and the build of our new cedar picket fence. They took my height into account when installing an arbor and raised it a couple extra feet off the ground, and I appreciated the personal touch. Unfortunately, the crew also had to deal with some harassment from my uncooperative neighbors, who (despite weeks of advance communication) remained ignorant to their property lines & to city codes. However, the crew handled it professionally. We would recommend.

The job went well once it had started. The two guys that did the work were brothers, worked well together, and did a fine job of creating what I was wanting to have added. They were friendly, made quick work, and cleaned up after themselves. My only issue was actually getting Cedar Rustic to come out for an estimate, and then actually start the job. I don't blame the workers, but the folks that schedule the estimates and start of job. They did a great job once they got moving, but I felt as if they thought the job was too small to give it any kind of priority.

Overall, it was a positive experience. Sales was able to quote competitively on-the-spot. Scheduling the install was very flexible. Installation crew arrived on time and performed the necessary work in the time provided. The gate specification did not originally meet requirement, so the crew had to come out a 2nd time to install properly.

I'll begin by saying, since there is not much positive in this review, that Cedar Rustic shows up for their appointments on time, and their customer service on the phone is outstanding. I dealt with a representative name Kelli Hocking, and she could not have been more pleasant or professional. This review is an update of two previous reviews posted for a fence that was installed circa 2007. We have not had much luck with the fence. In particular we've found the wood to be of poor quality, the construction to be shoddy and weak, and the posts to be problematic due to heaving. After I wrote a previous review about the posts heaving, Cedar Rustic came out to re-set the them in exchange for an updated review. The work was done and the fence looked a lot better. Unfortunately, the same issue has recurred. We now have 15-20 posts coming out of the ground anywhere from 3-8 inches (enough that my pets can easily escape from the yard.) In addition, several of the fence panels have fallen over during storms and now need to be secured using rope and bungie cords. Not a great look. Finally, due to the flimsy wood used for the slats, many now many have become bent and disconnected from the fence supports. No other fences in my neighborhood show evidence of this kind of damage. I called Cedar Rustic and they sent someone out to take a look, and then the installation manager came out to ensure the estimate was accurate. I was to be charged $2000 to have the work done...work that includes resetting posts that have already been reset multiple times. That would be $2000 wasted, in my opinion, as the posts, which were obviously not set deeply enough, will clearly heave again next winter. I understand that the fence is aging, and I don't expect it to be perfect, but these are the same issues I've been dealing with for years. Ultimately, I am guessing I will need to replace the whole fence, but will certainly not be using Cedar Rustic to do so.

The crew arrived ahead of schedule on a wet, raw, windy day. They were quick, professional, courteous and answered all questions. They did a great job. Prior to installation we had to change the style of fence to comply with local code. No problem. Gerry, our sales rep, was a pleasure to work with.

This company give low prices and financing for their services, but it comes with poor quality wood and very low response when they finish the job and get your money. They started in July. Took two days. The wood is very cheap and flimsy. I asked for privacy fencing and there are several spaces in the wood. That plenty of wood, but didnt ensure that the chose pieces that would seal close together. I called in about this and there was no remorse or regard for my concern. Customer service was rude. Put me on hold and then hung up. I had several pieces i found out later werent even nailed and it took them three months to come. Of course after i called AGAIN and informed them i would be contacting better business bureau. They didnt even call and notify me. I happened to check my security cameras and saw someone coming in and out of my backyard. They are very unprofessional. It's better to just spend the money and have people who are responsive to do it. If you're handy and want a low budget fence that you can go back abd fix the mistakes. Go for it. The gates are also poorly formed . I have to pretty much kick the door to get into my yard. Horrible!

Fence itself is beautiful and sales representative was very professional however I was not happy with the way the yard was left after installation. Rather than taking out the post from the old fence we realized they were cut down and new fence was installed back further leaving us with several inches of yard to clean up, put in fresh dirt and grass seed.

I, you know I would say maybe a C only because, so actually my original request was for a fence and then I wanted to talk about possible work for an existing deck. He gave me the fence quote while he was there but he never called me back about the deck. I guess maybe just follow through is what the company could do better. I would think maybe I would use them again.

They provided more product for the price because they pre-fab sections, rather than building the fence plank by plank at the location, so they are able to do it more cheaply. I liked everything about the installation except that their crews work a very long day, and by the end of the day they are tired and not as careful. I think that's what the whole industry does, it's not just them. My interactions with them were fine and the work turned out well. I would use them again, but hopefully not too soon.

Looks ok , gates need adjustment twice a year , posts move not very sturdy. Never checked lot lines . My fence was installed 13 feet into my neighbors yard. Only found out because they sold there home. We called numerous times to have them come back to move the fence . They never return any calls to rectify this gross mistake. Now I'm left with dropping 8 new posts on my side of my lot line . In the future they need to learn how to read a plot of survey. Bag of *****.

Cedar Rustic may be a bit higher in price but definitely worth it. The professionalism and workmanship is excellent. There was not a nail or scrap of wood left on my property when they were finished.

We had 6 broken fence posts from the last storm on our old fence and decided to get a price on replacing with an aluminum fence instead. We got 3 estimates and decided on Cedar Rustic. The crew showed up when they were supposed to, hauled away the old fence and left everything pretty clean considering the rain we had lately. They had to come back to tighten one panel. We are very happy with the whole deal and love our new fence.

The entire process went well. The sales person showed up, was easy to deal with (not pushy); understood I wanted to get other quotes so she gave me their best and lowest price right away. I shopped around and thought that Cedar Rustic was the best price. Then the installers showed up on time and did a great job. They were quick and clean. The fence looks great too.

They were very difficult to reach and didn't do a good job of communicating.

It went very well and we were well pleased, as usual. They were professional and the work was quality.

It went amazing, the sales crew was very experienced and helpful. The deck called and explained the process ahead. The crew showed up and dug are holes when they said they would they had those inspected, then framed the deck one day later after the concrete cured, had the inspection for that the next fay, then came back and finished the deck, Shawn and Doug did an amazing job on my deck it turned out amazing we love it, and will enjoy for years to come.

Cedar Rustic gets an "A" from me. I read the Angie's List reviews, and am thankful as to its members as always. I received excellent service, from Jim to the two men who installed the fence in one day. On the BBB website, Cedar Rustic's owner states their number of fences installed per year (quite a lot); they've also been in business a long time, and the warranty seems good. So, I think fencing may be a tough category, the opposite perhaps of window treatments, which has several companies with near-perfect records. Also, the fencing companies seem to have split up Chicagoland geographically, so your choice may be limited. But I am very happy with Cedar Rustic.

Certain areas along the fence and doors are not level. There are excessive gaps at the doors. One door is already experiencing problems by not closing properly. One corner section of the fence is left open. One pre-fabricated section of the fence has several gaps between the boards. The work was completed at 8.30-9.00 pm making it hard to inspect it before the workers left. Whatever was visible though was conveyed though the feedback form when the work was completed on July 23, 2016. For the past two weeks, we have been making multiple calls and left multiple voicemails about getting the work rectified and we are still waiting on a response from the company. We have even sent the company photos of the unevenly installed fence. We have not even been extended the courtesy of a return call. Unfortunately an Angies List review is yet another attempt at getting the attention of this business for poorly executed work.

We had an aluminum fence installed. It was installed in a day which really surprised me. We had an issue with our gate this year, The latch was not working. The key was sticking in the lock. I thought I was going to have to pay to fix. They came out under their warranty and replaced my handle with the key issue.

Great! Installed in 2 days and looks beautiful. Many great comments from neighbors.

Our sales rep was very knowledgeable. He spent time with us to explain the fence and how it was going to be installed. Most other companies were in an out in 20 minutes. During the installation, I changed the gate layout. They were able to get the fence needed to finish our yard in one day. We are very happy with the fence.

They installed warped boards. Fence wasn't installed correctly. Because it the posts were not installed deep enough below the frost line; consequently, they are being pushed up out of the ground. And it's also affecting the neighbor's fence and pulling their fence up because it is attached to my fence. She has dogs and is afraid they'll get out under the gap from the raised fence. We had to put rocks underneath because it is separating from the land underneath. We've had to cover the openings/gaps that are appearing at the bottom of the fence. Will never hire again unless they fix the current problem. Would use again if they would show they have the integrity to stand behind their work.

Poorly, long lead times, poorly supervised installers, wrong or not enough of the proper materials no after cleanup and unreasonable service call scheduling times.
