ASR Water Restoration

On 7/1/14 we experienced flooding in our basement and called the company and phone number referenced above. A company called Royal Rooter answered the phone and sent out a team to extract the water. Within 1 hour of the extraction, all the water had returned because the power was still out and sump pump was not operational. 7/2/14 They came back out and removed the water and my belongs from the basement and placed them in the living room and the garage. They collected a check for $1000.00 (my deductible) which I paid to a company called Crystal Clear Water Restoration. They placed several fans in the basement but did not remove the baseboards or the carpet pad. They also failed to tell us they could not relight the hot water heater which we found out around 9pm, hours after they left. 7/3/14 They returned to try to dry and relight the hot water heater. They were sucessful and left and said they would return on Monday when we got back in town. 7/7/14- called them upon our return to find out when they were coming out. They did not return my call. I moved the fans around but the carpet was still wet as the pad underneath was soaked and they did nothing to try to dry it out or remove it. I also realized they had placed a dehumidifier down there but did not plug it in. 7/8/14- still no return call and I am starting to notice mold growing in our back room and also on our person items still down there. 7/9/14- recieved a call from Royal Rooter who said they did not have anyone to pick up the equipment today but would be out tomorrow. 7/10/14- recieved a call from Royal Rooter who said that again they did not have anyone to pick up the equipment but would be out tomorrow Friday 7/11/14 7/11/14- I called to speak with a supervisor. I did not hear back so I called again and told them to pick up their equipment so I could get another company in to finish the job. She said again a supervisor would call me. She called back a litte bit later and said they felt they did everything to protocol and it was my fault for not giving them a claim number. They never asked for one. She said she did on 7/7 and i told her I did not have it. This is not true because I had it on 7/3/14. Either way, they claimed they had no one to come out so why did it matter? I asked them again to remove their equipment. They claimed they would be out at 4pm to pick it up. They did to show again and I was faxed a bill for $3000.00. Some of which had bogus charges for services they did not provide. 7/12/14- they called in the morning and said they would be out at 12pm to pick up the equipment. A subcontractor who was a plumber for the company came and get the equipment. I showed him the mold and soaked pad (12 days after their intial visti) and the unplugged dehumidifier. He contacted the owner of Royal Rooter who claimed that I would not be responsible for the additonal $2000.00 I was billed for. I feel I should have also gotten the $1000.00 back as well. This was a nightmare.
