Description of Work: Andy was to overloaded to come out and help with my problem. Andy did give me some ideas on what to do. Too bad he doesn't have time for new customers, his reviews sounded like he was just what I needed. Andy really should remove his name if he is not available to work.

 + -1 moreMy PC was intermittently locking up and sometimes not even rebooting. At first, Andy suspected a bad power supply, which he replaced and I subsequently paid for, but within a few days, my PC started to lock up again. He then picked the PC up again and performed diagnostics for several weeks. He found various capacitors which appeared to be overheated. He then rebuilt my PC and even put in an extra hard drive, all of which was at no additional cost to me, given that I had already paid for the power supply. The PC has been running fine ever since.

Description of Work: Fixed two laptops and a desk top. I can't say enough good things about Andy. He did everything we needed and more. I trusted him to take our computers and fix them at his location. He cleaned up and maximized the performance of all three at the exact price he quoted.  + -1 moreAndy was awesome. When he came back on 7/1/13 he helped me recover some photos I had deleted from my camera scan disc by mistake. I wanted to also have my laptop hooked up to my desktop printer but since the photo recovery would take awhile he came back for a second time on 7/3/13 to do it for me. He really knows what he is doing, is very friendly and professional and great about answering any questions you might have. I would recommend him to everyone and will most definitely call him with any other issues I might have in the future.
Description of Work: I contacted Andy by telephone on 6/28/13 because my desktop PC kept shutting off. He stopped by that day and took the PC home with him for a free diagnostic. He contacted me the next day to let me know the problem was that the heat-sink retention clip had come loose and thermal compound was missing from half of the processor and cooked onto heat-sink. He quoted $50.00 to clean/reassemble the processor & heat-sink and $10.00 for the thermal grease (he went all the way to Naperville for the grease). I accepted so he removed the old material and cleaned the surfaces before applying fresh thermal grease to processor and heat-sink assembly reinstalled. He called me to see if he could keep the PC for a couple of days so he could run a complimentary virus scan and updates as a stress test on the processor to make sure there weren't any temperature increases that would cause the system to shut down. With negative results he returned the PC on 7/1/13, hooked it up and made sure it was running correctly.

He was able to provide a quote immediately for the work/installation/repairs and was able to complete all contracted work orders with total satisfaction. Extremely pleased with Andy and his professionalism. Highly recommend.
Description of Work: Andy upgraded/updated my 8 year old tower eMachine computer to make it run MUCH faster (like a new computer for a fraction of the cost), and installed a security program. He repaired my son's Toshiba laptop screen by replacing it and installed a new updated laptop battery to my Toshiba laptop.
