Description of Work: This Southern Illinois Company was outstanding - above and beyond our expectations. They arrived on time and completed our move without a glitch of any kind. They were polite and friendly young men. They placed things in our new home to our specifications and were well mannered and businesslike. I would not hesitate to highly recommend then to anyone! + -1 moreThey moved me half way across the country in just a couple days. Davie is a small business with just one truck. It was slightly more expensive than the other movers, but I was able to have the same people loading my stuff, driving the truck, and unloading my stuff. They did not give me nearly as much paperwork to document what was moved as I would have with other movers, but on the other hand, my stuff was the only stuff on their truck.

Description of Work: They did a HORRIBLE job on my move. I had used them previously and they did a good job, but this time they dumped the contents of my desk and dresser and just put what dumped in any box, put things where they did not go - things that went upstairs in the basement and vice versa. Broke a file cabinet and when I asked them to replace it they said it was junk to start with, which it was not, it was less than a year old, book 2 big hunks of wood out of my expensive desk , I could just on and on. It was a total disaster. The guys were courteous and professional and helpful with a lot of things, but the other things I didn't find out until after they were already gone. I had to hire other people to come in and move some of the things after they left. Hire them at your own risk.

+ -1 moreI called Davies Transport for a local move less than a mile from a second floor apartment to a ranch house. I was told that the movers could arrive as early as 10am. However, they did not arrive until close to 1pm. Once they did arrive, however, they moved things quickly because they had three men working the job. When unloading, they were careful to put the boxes in their designated rooms and to arrange the heavy furniture in exactly the layout I had planned. When in doubt, they asked me where I wanted things or whether they needed to make an adjustment of a few inches in the furniture arrangement.
