Huemann Water Conditioning

I would never use them again. Our last water softener was a Ge. When our filled with water I knew it was the rotor disk and seal kit. Black Diamond recommended them. They over charged for the parts. They charged $120 for disk and $95 for the seal kit. I looked up the parts on line after the first repair was done, but it was still full of water. And I had found what appeared to be a brand new seal on my floor. I could have bought all the parts for $89 retail. Total cost of repair was $344. After he finished the repair he didn't stick around to make sure it actually worked. They were very responsive when I called them back and explained the problem. They were here within 2 days. When this guy took it back apart he found that the previous guy had broken a seal he replaced or left the old one on. He also showed me another seal not part of the package and replaced for free. He made sure it drained the excess water before he left. They were very friendly but both told me I should get one of there water softeners. At a cost of $1200 plus $200 to install but they would refund me the $215 for the parts they repaired mine GE with. I declined since mine is only 3 years old. This is the response I got from them when between the 2 repairs they made the problem worse. Here are the text messages between us after the second repair. Hi Josh, You came and did my water softener this morning Algonquin. So I had a question. I have never ever had this happen before. Made some coffee it was quite salty. It tasted like I used salt water. Yes hello! Ok, did the water clear up as the day went on? It looks clear. I started letting the water run about 20 minutes ago and took 4 pitchers of water from the fridge. I will let you know tomorrow. I can't tell how it tastes now that I have let it run. It was so salty that's all i can taste right now. You did have more water in that salt tank than there normally is. If you let The water run it should clear up. I would put the unit into another cycle by pushing the regeneration button and holding for 5 seconds. See if it happens again and let me know. It may take a couple cycles to get down to a normal water level in that tank. After that you shouldn't get that saltiness If it don't clear up, Iet me know, and we'll go from there Okay. Will do. I put it on another cycle and it never ended. Water ran through it for 4 hours. Ended up bypassing and unplugging it. No the water was so salty it tasted like ocean water. We've had a water softener in the house for 30 years and never had salty water. Ok, I'm glad you were able to by pass the unit. Since its still not working correctly with the parts we put into it, we can refund you the parts if you go with a new unit through us. If you get a unit through us, we have all parts, and can fully rebuild a unit and warranty it unlike the box store units.

I called early in the morning before they opened and left a message. I was promptly called back and a same day appointment was set up. The technician asked if we had a break in the outside pipe to our well recently. We had and the technician did a thorough cleaning of the system to see if that would clear up the problem. He said that since our unit was 17 years old, it might be past its useful life, but might as well try the simple fix first. He also said any money paid could be used as credit for a water softener purchase.

They replied promptly and installed new system when I made my decision. They removed and hauled away my old system. The new one is a mechanical system and only uses salt when necessary. They also have a salt delivery service and will bring the salt into my basement. This is wonderful for seniors. They are very professional and follow up monthly to make sure everything is working well.

Carl, our tech, showed up when he said he would. He was very professional and knowledgeable about our water softener unit that two other companies came out for but were unable to repair. After a $158 tune-up, we were all set. He informed us that our water softener had another good 10-15 years or so on it, when other companies said it was probably time to replace it.

They did an excellent job. I thought the price was really fair.

Everything went smoothly. Charges were as agreed upon.

Excellent, all work was done neatly in a timely matter, one minor issue arose after installation but they returned in few days and resolved the issue. Very happy with the improvement in the water here!

I moved into a house that was built in 1955 that had a well with a Kinetico Water Conditioning System in it. I was unfamiliar with wells and called Huemann Water Conditioning in the hope that I would be able to get some information in addition to an evaluation, as I knew the system was quite old and would probably need replacing. From the initial contact this company was exceptional to work with. The ladies who answered the phone and took my initial calls were Linda and Kim. They could not have been any friendlier, helpful and more professional. They took all my information and told me I would receive a call back shortly to discuss my needs. I received a call back within an hour and made an appointment to have someone come out and check out my system, explain the maintenance and talk to me about possibly replacing and updating the older system. A man named Josh came out within a few days, exactly as promised. He was very prompt, helpful, professional and took extra time to explain the well system as well as the Kinetico Water Conditioning System. He was very patient with my endless questions and concerns and was not at all pushy as far as trying to sell me any equipment. I decided that since my system was so old it was time to update it. Josh spent a great deal of time with me and I never felt rushed. At this time I also decided to add a reverse osmosis drinking water system to my home, as well as replacing a 22 year old hot water heater inside my home. Josh even took pictures in the well of my current Kinetico Water Conditioning System to make it easier to plan for the new installation and ensure that it was installed in the most efficient manner possible within the confined available space in my well. He went back to the company to meet and discuss the installation of the system. I soon received a follow-up call from Joe Huemann to discuss the system and work I wanted done. I also spoke with Kurt from the company and he explained more details and pricing for the entire job. It was obvious that they had put a great deal of thought and planning into this job to ensure it was done in the best manner possible. A date was scheduled and they came out and completed the work exactly as planned. They sent out 3 men, Reggie, Steve and Scott. All 3 of them were friendly and very helpful and really took the time to explain every aspect of the installation and made sure I understood everything they did. They completed the job and I felt very comfortable with their work and the price was very fair for the great amount of work that they completed. I cannot make enough positive comments about this company. They have been the best company that I have worked with in decades. They are an exceptional, company with old fashioned values such as honesty, integrity, and pride in their work which is difficult to find in many companies nowadays. I called the company several times with questions and concerns before they came out to complete the job and always received prompt call backs and they took the time to make sure I was comfortable and understood every step of the process. I have never worked with a company with such a quick response time regarding call backs and they always patiently answered all my questions. They were always on time and never late for any appointments and even called to confirm before they came out to my home. Their communication and punctuality was outstanding. You can't go wrong if you decide to use this unbelievable company as they are an exceptional, hard working, honest group of friendly people who really go "above and beyond" in every aspect of their jobs. This is how all companies should be! I highly recommend Huemann Water Conditioning as a top notch company and only wish their was a higher rating that I could give them besides and A+.

I asked a lot of questions (which the sales man Kurt patiently encouraged and answered), did a lot of research and have called many competitors in the past. Most other places do not have certified plumbers on their crew and are not knowledgeable about their products or water. This company is different. From phone calls to sales people to install crew, everyone knows their stuff and they run a tight ship. The product itself is pricey, but well worth the money to buy something designed well and is solid. It also is peace of mind to know the installers ( Steve & Andrew) knew what they were doing and were designing the piping system to best fit the needs of the house. This how every American company should be run. I am really impressed and highly recommend them.

We had Huemann Water Conditioning come out after having our well rebuilt and pressure tank replaced, to evaluate our water softener and filter in a house we bought through foreclosure sale. The technician was friendly and explained the maintenance needed on the system. He was able to rebuild some small parts in our older model softener so that we had no need to buy new equipment. We still need to call them back to install filtration but we are waiting until our kitchen installation is complete. We were very happy with our service and would recommend this company.

They are good. They are reasonable and professional. We will use them again. I just know we were happy with it.

Old water softener had been "around the block" a few times and was in need of replacement. I contacted Huemann Co. for a quote. Over the phone, they offered me a variety of choices from relatively inexpensive to top-of-the-line models. No pressure was exerted to buy any particular make of model. They explained the price and features of each one and then waited for me to make my choice. All my questions were answered in a straightforward manner. I chose a Kinnetico model which was installed within two days. Everything was done in a very professional and friendly manner.

We've rented our water softener from Huemann for 17 years: 6 years at our first house and 11 years here. We've never had an issue here, but at our old home we had serious problems resulting from the water company serving the neighborhood. Huemann needed to make several visits to resolve the problem, and actually needed to research it with contacts in another state to find a comparable issue to what we were experiencing. They did great work, kept us advised of the progress, and didn't stop until our problems were completely eliminated. Very very professional attitude, both in person and on the phone.I'm still renting; payment is automatic and always correct.

Overall the job he did was excellent. The service representative was Steve and he was very attentive to the issue. He didn’t have to pump right away but he made sure that he got the right one. He installed it and he did a follow up call. He was very polite and very attentive. We will use his services again in the future.

They were very good and professional. They answered any questions that I had. The salesman, who is actually a manager and water specialist, has always taken my calls or got back to me quickly if he is not available. It is a bit pricey but it is an excellent treatment system, and we have very hard water in this area. They came right on time when they said they were going to be here. I will need them for servicing the system.

We really liked them. We spent $800 in total. Prior to having the water filter put in, we have been buying water for about 8 years, so they did a really great job. The people that came out and did the work were great. Their pricing was reasonable.

George the sales person explained everything before giving their estimate. We did not get any other estimates due to we looked into the Kinetico products extensively on line and this area Huemann has a great reputation. Also, George the representative from Huemann knows their products and explains fully and not a pushy and a regular guy explaining the benefits of their products while not taking shots at their competitors....just explains what makes Kinetico better. Huemann is very good and would recomend them and George for anyone looking for Water Softners or Drinking Water services. They also have a monthly water softner salt sale once a month where they have a great price on salt and you drive up and they load it in your vehicle for you.

They were awesome. We were just driving by Huemann’s and noticed that they did water conditioning so we stopped in. It was about two minutes to 5:00 so they were just about to close up, but the guys there spent a good 45 minutes talking to us. They looked it up on their database and found out that they were the ones that originally installed the system 20 years ago so they knew all about it. They made an appointment to come look at our water softener the very next day and, instead of replacing it, they were able to fix it. They did the work quickly, they did it easily, they explained everything, and it cost us very little money.

They are honest, great and timely and they are very thorough, helpful and informative.

Called Huemann a week prior and a very polite young lady named Molly answered (a real human being) and I asked if they serviced WaterBoss units. Wasn't sure so gave me to the owner to help me. Explained my problem to Joe and he seemed to agree that the WaterBoss brain was fried. He offered to stop by personnaly the folliowing morning after his errands in my area and take a quick look at my unit. He arrived the next morning around 10 am. He looked at my unit and concourred that it was history. He tested my water and it needed to have some type of unit. ( Whole area has bad H2O). Joe gave me brochure about Kinetico Unit with all it's positive points. (NOT hard-sell, informative only). We sat down and worked up a final number that I felt was fair. I try to only shop at "Ma & Pa" businesses that deal in "Made in USA" products. Joe's family has been in the McHenry,Illinois area forever. We agreed and shook on package. Unit works like a fine timepiece.

It all started a few days later after the unit was installed.When my wife came home from work at night, the furnice room floor was wet all over.The nuts on the unit were loose ( they were never properly tighened)and I fixed the problem.O 7-22-2009 at night I took a shower and so did my child. and we went to bed.When my wife came from work late at night she went downstairs to the basement to let dogs out.She noticed right away a lot of water on the basement pergo floors and started to screem to wake me up.I run downstairs and all my rooms had water.Everything started to buckle up, all baseboards arround furnice room started to separate from the walls and cupping.What happened was the way his technican installed the drain tubing was incorrect:he just stuck the drain tubbings in the floor drain where the check velve was.When my septic system overflowed it had no place to go except furnice room because tubing he installed, prevented the check velve from closing.I called Huemann but they have not called back until a little over month later when I stopped my payment. After that we got flooded a couple of times when we had lundry and showers going at the same time.We figured that velve was not able to go up and close because of those tubes stuck there by Huemann's techincian.I had enough of flooding and looking at my basement to be damaged all over again, I went ahead and redirected tubbings to the vent pipe.It solved the problem.After that Humman came over and installed a p-trap but it was alredy to late. It should have been done in the first place.He estimated our damage for $320.I told him no way and got my estimate of $11,000.He said he did not have that kind of money and asked me for my ins info.I said no your installer messed it up so his ins has to pay.In December a week before Christmas we started to smell rust in our water and when we went to check on the salt level there was no salt in there but all water.I filled it with salt about a week ago.I called Humann and reported the problem.He said he was not able to come out until four days later.I told him that was not acceptable and I will call my Lawyer.When he heard lawyer he was so suddenly able to come over next day.The problem was that the float got stuck open and drained all my salt out but he would not reimburse me for it.Next he pulled out the tubing from the p-trap, cut off about foot. I asked if it is not to come out so then he put electrical tape around it.That was the last service of his.after that he came to our house several times to harrass my wife about removing unit and that he wanted past due balance to be paid now. He tried to walk in and also he told my wife that I cursed his secretary out and that I must be abusive like that to my wife too.That is slander.Now he is harrassing us more by taking us to court but at the same time refusing to fix our damages.We need your help to resolve it. 3 years ago the co. installed a kinetico system. 6 months ago the system was not operating well and rust appeared.Gave them a call and Josh showed up to take care of the problem. He found debris in one of the parts and felt that this will fix the problem, however he suggested to install a filter the next time this happens since he did not have the parts on his truck. He charged me 40.00 dollars half of the usual call. 2 months ago the problem persisted. This time they installed the filter and this was going to take care of the problem and charge us 180.00 dollars. 4 weeks ago the problem started again and another technician, Carl was called. He replaced the filter and 5 parts in the mechanism and said to call him in 2 weeks to see if the salt was going down. By the way their was NO CHARGE ,and he replaced the filter He call me back to ask if he could come back to test the water and to bring me 3 bags of salt. He showed up tested the water and delivered me 3 bags of salt. He said that the water was 100% soft and charged me 18.00 dollars. My patience was worth all the service that was rendered politely, with a smile, no excuse, and on time. I am glad that their is a co. that still works and tries to take care of frustrated customers by fixing the problem. Now I hope I have a system that will satisfy me. I will use them again because they are very professional.

Was having problems with exsisting water softener. Called to find out their service pricing. Talked through the problem on the phone. Very nice and knowledgeable. Recommended some parts and delivered them the next day. AMAZING service. I almost wanted to pay them for a service call anyway. I would recommend them to anyone.
