Job was completed with excellent attention to details and finishes at an extremely competitive price!

Both my wife and myself were totaly impressed with the professionalism and honesty of the process. The cost of the whole project was fair and reasonable compared to other estimates. All work was performed in timely manner. Over the four months that it took we were kept abreast of the process and any changes from the original estimate were discussed in detail. We can highly recommend First Chicago remodeling for any type of remodeling or project you might have.

We use First Chicago Remodeling quite often; whenever we need something to get fixed or repair at our home. First time we used them it was to work on remodeling our house after we bought it five years ago. Since then we stick with First Chicago Remodeling and their team because they always do an excellent job and of course their prices are very competitive. I honestly recommend this company to anyone that needs some construction work done on their home or have furnace fixed.

Marian is really great to work with and always has the best price as well. One of his best qualities is his great taste and advice. He patiently drove around with me to find colors I liked for the exterior, even knocking on doors to ask what colors they had used. He then went back to the store 4 times to perfect the color scheme (we used 4 colors). His work is always professional, timely and well done. This is our second project with him.

Marian is a great contractor! It is rare to have someone that is professional, good at doing the work and who also has the creative vision that Marian has. Marian was a valuable resource for us because we did not know exactly how we wanted the bathroom to look. he has great ideas and a very cutting edge design style. He was always punctual and kept the work area clean. He finished everything on time and took care of every small detail. He even took much time out of his day to let my 5 year old son watch the project and ask him questions all day. Marian is top notch, first rate and we would definitely use him again!

After finishing one door did not quite fit. Contractor responded promptly and fixed. Otherwise the job went well and as expected.

We requested several services on Friday and they came out to do an inspection right away. We received a fair proposal the next business day and they began work right after we accepted the proposal. During the course of the work being done, our air conditioner broke down and they were able to fix the problem. So we had drywall installed, interior painting, caulking, woodwork, and air conditioner repair all done in one week and they were prompt arriving at 8 am each day and professional. We will continue to work with First Chicago in the future, thanks! PS I choose not to include the price of the work done for personal privacy reasons.

I love my kitchen- excellent work.

They did a good job. Their work was not more than we expected or less than we expected. They were pretty courteous and willing to work with us.

He was prompt and was able to determine the problem with the sliding door quickly. His estimate was over $100 cheaper then the next alternative. The only complaint is that it sometimes was difficult getting ahold of them. Other then that, the work was excellent and I would recommend him for future work.

Darek is the best! This project went very smooth due to Darek's professionalism and quality of work. Before hiring Darek I had three companies bid on my project, Chicagolands Finest was not the cheapest or the most expensive however I selected Darek due to his honesty and follow through . On our first meeting Darek was unable to meet at our scheduled appointment time due to a conflict, he called well in advanced and rescheduled. We met the next day, Darek was on time, reviewed the job, asked questions and seemed very interested, He said I would have a quote within five working days and on the fifth day I recieved the bid via email. He started the job two days late and ran over an additional week however the entire length of time he was consistently informing me of the progress and communicating with me. The only thing I can say is hire Darek you will not be disappointed. I'm sold on Chicagoland's Finest!

Had checked Angies's List for companies that do insulation and this company was listed but when I called them they said they don't do insulation

The work went well. They finished ahead of schedule and on budget. They worked especially neat and cleaned up well. They were very easy to work with. I would highly recommend them.

It was very good. They were very professional and affordable. They were very pleasant and easy to work with. There were no problems at all. I was very pleased with the results.

He responded in an appropriate amount of time. He came out and was helpful with his ideas.

Wow! These guys are amazing. After hiring the wrong people to begin this project, I finally was able to reach Marian. Thank Goodness. His guys, who have been with him for 3 - 4 years, would show up everyday at 7:45 and wait until exactly 8:00 to begin and would work until 6:00. Our bathroom was already gutted and the plumbing was done, so I thought. He took one look at the plumbing someone else had just completed and pointed out several mistakes and explained why it needed to be redone. We had a multi-jet shower system that would never had worked the way the other guy set it up. Marian's guys redid the plumbing with everything lining up perfectly in just a day. They built a 4' by 6' shower area, with a half wall and a corner seat with ease. We used travertine tile on the floors and walls, with pebble stones inside the shower floor. Tiling was done above the air jet bathtub, too. They had some great suggestions, such as using granite for the shower curbs, top of the half wall, and on the shower seat. Their tile work was very neat and the cuts were very precise. They also installed a 8' cherry vanity and some six panel oak doors, with trim. Each day the workers would clean up so good that you could barely tell anyone actually was there. This whole project took only two weeks to complete. After inspecting the bathroom for a day or two, I have yet to find a mistake anywhere. It looks awesome!! I highly recommend First Chicago Remodeling to anyone looking for a bathroom project. You need to call early to get on Marian's schedule. He's a very busy man for a reason.

This was our second project with Marian. It was a much better experience because the communication was better and also because we had worked with a kitchen designer ahead of time and had very detailed plans. Marian's team did the demolishing on time finished the drywall, plumbing and electrical in time for the when the cabinet installation team was scheduled to come. After the cabinets were installed, Marian's team returned promptly to re-install all the appliances and finish the job.

What started out as simply resealing the toilets in 6 units and a storefront of an old apartment building I recently bought turned into gut jobs once we saw that the floors were ready to rot through and that some of the pipes weren't even connected to anything any longer. Marian and his men had to work around tenants who were living in their units. They had nothing but good things to say about him, even the crabby ones who complain about everything. This is the second time I've hired Marian. The first time, five years ago, was his first job with his own company. He gut rehabbed my kitchen and bath. In fact, I'm the one who first put him on Angie's List. He's my guy from now on.

Emailed them 2 times, called and left 3 messages. Got one call back which got cut and then they never called back. I would not trust a company to do the work if they are not diligent during the sales process.

I met with Marian at my home and he was very nice. He showed me photos of basements he had done which were quite impressive. Marian listened to me and offered some helpful suggestions regarding layout. I was looking forward to his proposal but he never submitted one. He never even called me back.

The entire experience was very good. Marian was prompt for visits and always kept in contact during the proposal and the work progress. The work was conducted professionally and quickly.

Very helpful. I couldn't figure out how to turn the outside faucet off from the inside, and he came out in a snow storm to show me. We had a new toilet and sink installed, and a little tile work. There was a switch that was turned upside down, so I called and they sent a guy out to fix it. I am very happy with the end result.

It was well worth waiting for our initial meeting with Marian. We had a good experience working with him and his team. Everything went smoothly. They're easy to work with. He listened to what we wanted to do and we trusted him and his team to make the right decisions for us. The crew was prompt, professional, tidy and true craftsmen. They were flexible, allowed us to add and change elements, and were accommodating to our requests. Quality of installation is very good with nice attention to detail. Recommended.

Marion was very responsive and came out within a few days of calling him for a quote. He provided a quote at the site and was to provide a detailed quote within 3 days. I called him the next day and to let him know we would use him but still wanted the detail quote. Since than, Marion has been invisible and unreachable. I was expecting to potentially have this issue based upon other's feedback and sure enough it came true. I would think Marion would have the professionalism to call back and at least tell me he's not interested or able to do the work versus just avoiding my calls.

From the very first day we met with Marion, he was always friendly and helpful. He offered many ideas and was very quick to take care of any problems or issues we had along the way. The work he did was very good, I have had many opportunities to have similar kinds of work done and would highly recommend him and his team. I would absolutely use him again!! He completed the job on time and on budget with very few interim issues - there were additional projects added as we went along and he handled those with the same ease and professionalism as the rest of the project. Great experience, good team and fair prices - don't hesitate to utilize his wealth of knowledge and experience.
