Johnny is an artist. There's no other word to describe him. The results are breathtaking – both bathrooms are truly one of a kind. He installed both flooring and all the tile surrounds for the shower/bathtub areas, then did all the sealing afterward. He also installed things like shower baskets and shower rods (I didn't want anyone but him drilling into the stone). Onyx and marble are delicate materials, therefore difficult installations, but he handled all the materials with aplomb and has a real eye for color. My designer went AWOL so when Johnny showed up for the installation, HE designed how the tile would go up in the showers, and I arranged to get more of the smaller specialty tiles we needed that hadn't been ordered. He wound up cutting some pretty small pieces by himself with his wet saw; every one fit perfectly. He's a very calm, pleasant, professional person to have in your home, and meticulous about cleanup at the end of the workday and the end of the job. When I remodel my kitchen one day, he is the only tile installer I will even consider. His prices are more than fair, and he was prompt about things like getting me his waiver of lien at the conclusion of the job. Can't recommend him highly enough. He also repaired a granite tile fireplace surround where some of the grouting had fallen out; you can't see any repair was made. And I chose the wrong color of grout for the master bathroom; when I wasn't happy with it, he came back and scraped out the top layer and applied a much better color and resealed the floor. He also installed heating elements below the tile.
