First of all, I was told that the "window" in which someone would arrive would be between Noon-4PM. I left my office at 11:30AM and arrived at my Racine condo exactly at Noon. I received a call around 2:15PM to let me know that they were "running behind" but I was next on their list. After another hour and half, I called them to see what the status was. They informed me they were on their way and would be there in about 30 minutes. That would have put them here slightly past the "window" provided of 4PM. They didn't arrive until 4:45PM, came up to my condo and looked at the flange and said it would likely be a 3-hour job and it wouldn't get done tonight. They also informed me that it would be around $650. I had asked the person who I set the appointment with if they had any idea of the cost. They said they didn't know. Look, I get that every situation is different, but the technicians that arrived went to a three-ring binder and went to the sheet that said "Cost to replace PVC Toilet Flange" . Pretty clear there, it was $650. Now the cost really doesn't bother me, but sending two guys out, having them arrive 45 minutes late, having inconvenienced your customer who had to take off work and then informing him that he would likely have to take off more work so they could come back AT THEIR CONVENIENCE to do the work had me showing the gents to the door. Additionally, they're the experts...or are supposed to be...you don't send a truck out to do a toilet flange repair without having every type of flange that might be needed and every tool FOR THAT REPAIR. These guys said they may not have the right replacement flange on their truck and likely lacked some tools. That's right, Blanton, send your team out to provide and outstanding customer experience and have them arrive to the game late and without the proper tools to address the situation. Nothing fries me more than having someone or some company have such little regard for my time! A complete and total waste. I sent them packing and although they are listed in the Racine/Kenosha Yellow Pages, this company is really in Illinois. My bad......didn't know that because, of course, they have a local number in their ad. I will say the two guys that showed up were very pleasant and put up with my frustration. They could tell I wasn't a happy camper. Seriously, this is just plain old lousy customer service and for that, I felt compelled to share with others my experience.

Not well, would not hire. Took advantage of the desperate situation

P.J. was our service technician and he was wonderful! He was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. We are very pleased with his work.

Gave me a time between 10am and noon. Noon comes. No call and no show. I called them, they said someone would be out soon. Since I had to leave for a doctor's appt, I tell them my husband will be home and to call his cell. An hour later, they call my cell instead of my husband's. They show up and it turns out the $59 that I paid for a service call/credit covered a fraction of the cost to just unclog a bathtub (which was almost $200). I could've spend half that on another plumber with the same rating and the ability to tell time and pick up a phone. I will never hire these guys again, and I advise you not to either. Only good thing I can say about this whole thing is that my tub is now unclogged. They also didn't even put the cover back on my tub drain.

Very satisfied, and would call them again if needed. Highly recommend.

After the price quote, they took the time to do the job efficiently and completely. Personable and skilled with no upsale speech at the end, instead offered helpful homeowner advice for the future. Would definitely hire them again!

The technician was very professional and did a great job. He also replaced a valve at the water heater for water supplied to our whole-house humidifier.

Work was done quickly. less than an hour for two toilets to be repaired. Very nice man would definitely use again.

He was very personable. He explained a lot of things to me, like how how to shut off the main water valve, which I never knew. I found him to be very useful.

The repairman was very professional and found the problem quickly and made the repairs. He actually came on the same day that I called. Very pleased with the work done, will use again in the future.

The hot/cold water pipes got cut and closed as planned. When the plumber tried to cut the waster PVC pipe, it broke off. He warned me ahead of time that that is something that could happen 1 out of 100 times... He was able to fix it. The whole thing probably took about an hour. I found the price to be extremely expensive, just to cut 3 pipes and close them off, but I guess that's how it is. I sent an email to the company about the price, but I didn't get any response. Just to be fair to the company, the price was discussed upfront, and I agreed to the price (as I had to have it done, so that I can do the kitchen cabinets)

Duane Blanton plumbing was very friendly and responsive during this extremely busy time of flooding. My plumber (Mark) was very friendly and knowledgeable and was in and out of the house in a very short amount of time. I will be relying on them for future plumbing needs.

Plumbers are ridiculously expensive, so make sure you get your money's worth with Blanton - fast response, professional and courteous.

It went well until he told me that he had to replace the end of the line under the street for $3500. I questioned that, as I had the whole line replaced 9 years ago with PVC.

Glen came in (on time) reviewed the situation and had it all fixed up in no time. Very professional, very courteous. Now working flawlessly so far. Would definitely use again.

He seemed very knowledgeable and did the work quickly. Price was more that expected for such a quick job.

Efficient and cheap compared to others

Went very well. Barton's was one of a very select few that would give me an estimate of what it might cost over the phone or on the web, most wanted to come out (many for a service fee of $50 or more) and do an onsite estimate. Didn't have time for all that screwing around. Found deal on Angies list for $1065 for 50 gal Bradford tank at Barton's. That was much better than other estimates I had been able to get. Glenn came out the same day, reviewed what I had, saw that no plumbing or gas line changes were needed ( I went from a Bradford heater to another Bradford), called in to validate the $1065 deal (it was a pre-purchase deal on Angies List), started draining the old tank, laid out a bunch of tarps to protect the floor, and went to get the tank at his supplier. He was back within 30 minutes. Job was done professionally and competently in about an hour. Would definitely call Barton's again. I wont be calling my former plumber, one I had a relationship for years, ever again, and will next go over to their Angies list review page and do a (poor) review on the call I had with their customer service people.

It went great! Dan did not make any assumptions. He also went into the basement to check the main drain pipe, noticed that it had a slight dip and not pitched properly. He gave an assessment and cost to have it re-pitched. He also suggested a new garbage disposal since it was 15 years old, the motor may not be as strong and blades may be dull. He gave me options on what they would cost and pros / cons. At the end I decided to have it power rodded and everything is working great. Will decide in the future, if the re-pitch and new garbage disposal will be fixed / replaced. Kudos to dan for an honest assessment and job well done.
