Fine. Dan was very good.

Description of Work: Duane Blanton Plumbing sent out a serviceman to give me an estimate on repairing a 2 year old long neck kitchen faucet that had become wobbly. He spent a long time inspecting the faucet and saying how he didn't think it could be fixed but then called the faucet company and was told they would send out a part free-of-charge to fix the problem. The part was ordered but the serviceman continued expressing his doubt and saying I should buy a new faucet, just in case. |Approximately 2 weeks later he returned to replace the part and spent a very long time trying to install it but finally admitted he could not. He ended up trashing my old faucet by cutting the hoses to remove it. Luckily I had purchased a new faucet (just in case) and he installed it. Of course, he charged me an additiojnal $80 for the installation above the fee I had already paid to Angie's List. So I ended up paying more for the service and had to pay for a whole new faucet to replace my 2 year old unit! Needles to say, I was not happy1

Thank you for your response to our service Ms [Member name removed], You are correct that the parts were sent to your home for free from the faucet company, but they sent the wrong parts. At that time our plumber called the company and they said that the part needed was not available any longer. If the parts are no longer available from the manufacturer unfortunately their is nothing we can do about that. At that point we recomended installing the new faucet that you purchased. While replacing the old faucet with the new faucet we did need to cut the old hoses in order to get the old faucet out. To say we trashed your old faucet doesn't sound correct as the old faucet was unrepairable and had to be replaced anyway. If we can be of any assistance in the future please let us know.

Description of Work: Extremely expensive to install a washer that cost $460, they asked for over $500 in the old place and for over 700 in the new place by the drier because of a rusted pipe. My husband installed it by the end of the day by himself.

Description of Work: Went ok -- had book to determine pricing similar to auto repair. Left a little garbage on the ground. Thought was very over priced to replace a water spigot with easy access. Only reason I didn't do it myself was time crunch. Purchasing discount from Angie's I thought would be good, but the discount did not make up for their higher price.
