Arrived on time. Reviewed details of what needed to be changed in bathroom undergoing renovation. Very knowledgeable. Completed job in a timely manner and with a minimum amount of cleanup work for the homeowner.

I noticed a leak under my 2-year old water heater around 8 pm - on the evening before company was arriving. I called Blanton Plumbing because they had a good Angie's List rating and they had emergency service. Although they did not have a replacement water heater to install that evening, they did come right out to remove the old one and prepare the site for installation first thing the following morning. It would have been nice to have the entire operation done in one session (it cost $79 for emergency service), they did their best to get the project done in a timely and professional manner (and before company arrived!). The plumber took the extra time to show me how to "clean" a faucet that frequently clogs with grit due to water from a well. Hopefully this water heater will last longer than the previous one - Blanton says it is high quality. At least if there is a problem, I call Blanton and THEY deal with it....

They came out on the day I called to see if they could fix the constant running until I received the toilet following week. He did not mind my questions. He was very friendly and professional.

I would love to keep a good thing to myself so I wouldn't had to share them but I need to let you know how wonderful this company is, Sewer was backing up in our downstairs toilet. THey came out within an hour on Memorial Day weekend !! Tom was wonderful, can't say enough about our experience. Would use them again in an instant. He also gave us some advice to help avoid this problem again and we will definitely go with them. You can't go wrong with them Even the after hours charge was no where near what we thought it would be.

From the first call I made at 6:30am my experience was excellent. The phone operator was so pleasant and reassuring and told me a technician would call me shortly. Duane Blanton called me back in 10 minutes and told me he could have someone there this morning or afternoon if that would work better for me. I was able to rearrange a meeting and do it by conference call and by 9am Ron was here to work on my water heater. He was pleasant, professional, and evaluated my water heater and went over the anticipated costs of service with me. He quoted me a price and I told him I also had a coupon from Angie's. He said great and requoted me after giving him the coupon. He made the repairs, kept the work area clean and then explained everything to me. Gave me some hints that could help me avoid a problem in the future.I was so pleased with everything from the first call to the finished product! I would definitely recommend them for any of your plumbing needs. When my water heater does die(inevitable), I will not hesitate to call them for a replacement.

I called them in the morning and they were out within an hour. Ron was very friendly and helpful. He was able to replace the faucet cartridge and recaulk the fixture in under an hour and was very clean and professional. I had one other estimate that was around $200 (sight unseen) so I think this price was reasonable. I would recommend them to anyone.

I Came home from work and had a leak under my Hot Water Heater. I called Duane Blanton Pulimbing around 6:00 Pm and they said they would send over serivce men after they were done with thier classes at CLC (continuing plumbing education and certification - that was a good first impression!). Two service men came out to my home, diagnosed the problem and replaced my Hot Water heater. While at my home, the two gentlemen were very professional and the service was exceptional. They took the time to explain to me exactly what they were doing during the installation process. I was very happy with their service. The next day, I noticed it was taking longer than usual for hot water to reach certain areas of my home. I called DBP and they came right out to diagnose and fix the problem (free of charge). It appeared my return line had an air poscket in the line and the new water heater had a valave that prevented water return. He bled the lines and added a new presure release check valve and now my hot water is cycling properly. Again, I was truly impressed with the company, they various service men i interacted with and the professional service. I will use them again as needed.

I called Duane Blanton about a water heater leak. Their office arranged to send out a technician right away to meet me, as I had requested. But then I spoke with a friend who advised me to check with him before replacing the water heater, if the plumber believed it needed replacing. When I realized I was running late, I called back the Duane Blanton office 25 minutes before my appointment time, to delay my appointment 30 minutes. I felt bad about changing the time since the lady had gone out-of-her-way to arrange the initial meeting time. But she said she would let the technician know. And he (Ron) met me at the new time even though he had little advance notice. I really appreciated that. He came to my front door, and wore booties over his shoes to protect my carpet. I reall appreciated that too. He seemed very thorough and talked about what he was checking for. And he concluded that it did need replacing. He wrote out the quote, which seemed a little high. But I figured based on the high reviews on Angie's List, the attention to customer satisfaction I had already noticed in the details, and the options they were able to offer; it was probably well worth the little extra. Ron knew I had been referred by Angie's List, and was surprised I didn't have a coupon for him. So he even went to the trouble of applying the savings of joining the "Duane Blanton Value Plan" which provides perks along with 15% off any service--although the plan cost was $89, the 15% savings it gave still reduced the overall cost from $1280 to $1177. He said they used Bradford White water heaters and had good experience with them. I wondered if GE was a better product or not. He offered to provide me with a quote for installing a water heater if I had one I wanted installed, but I didn't know what direction I was going yet, and declined the quote. Although my friend ended up helping me get a GE appliance instead, I was impressed with Duane Blanton. They were professional, knowledgeable, punctual, neat, friendly, and flexible. I'm keeping their number in case I need a plumber in the future.

It was fine. I had no problems with the service. I was happy.

They were very good. They came out and fixed the problem right away. It took under an hour to complete the work. I would recommend their services to anyone.

Three days after getting new carpeting in our basement, I discovered that one corner was wet. I found out it was coming from a crack in the foundation from a nail in the new tack strip for said carpeting. After some experimentation I found out it was only leaking when the sump pump ran. I called Duane Blanton due to it's rating and I can say I couldn't be happier. They were out within an hour of calling. Turns out the discharge pipe is built into the foundation and was cracked. Going over pricing, it was suggested that the discharge be routed out the opposite side of the house and have the current discharge plugged. My sump pump was also very outdated and had had issues with the float sticking, so we had it replaced as well. They came back the next day and got right to business. He even took the time to put his little booty things on his shoes every time he came in from out side!! We didn't even have to ask!

He did a pretty good job. He was proficient. I would recommend their services.

I called based on the great reviews to have someone come and rod out our main sewer line. They told me they charge a $49 service fee in Chicago for PARKING, and that they waive it if you go with their quote. I then asked the typical range for a normal rodding of a main sewer line and she said she didn't have any pricing info to share. I asked if it is typically $200 or $1000 and she said she didn't know. Lame.

Ron was absolutely fantastic. He did an amazing job and really went above and beyond to make sure everything looked and worked great. Highly recommended!

We were very happy with them. They were testing the water heater while they were installing it to make sure it was working properly and it was not working properly. They had to actually replace the parts. They were here for a lot longer than normally they would have been. However, they did not leave until it worked.

I think they are a little bit pricey but they do good work. They are very professional and clean up after themselves. They are very prompt and flexible with scheduling. I definitely think I got what I paid for. They have a pricing book with guidelines for pricing. I would recommend them to others.

Overall a great experience!! They were on time and kept me informed every step of the way. They were a pleasure to work with!

I was surprised how quickly an appointment for a plumber could be scheduled on a weekend. He arrived promptly and was professional throughout his time in our home. He quickly diagnosed the problem, provided and estimate and then proceeded to unclog our drain once he had our approval. I say thank you!

If you need a water heater and you have Nicor gas, go to their website and find one of their Energy Star water heaters (from a list of about 2,375 water heaters on their rebate site) and you can get a $200.00 rebate from Nicor if you have one of them installed. I did not know about this rebate the day I got the water heater installed from this company. I called and discussed the issue with them the day after they had installed the one they used (which apparently is NOT an Energy Star water heater), and the owner told me that his distributor did not have any Energy Star water heaters available, that it would cost over $500 more than a 'regular' one, that the distributor would have to order it and it would take weeks to get it, and that the Nicor rebate site was obviously misleading in saying they would give rebates for a relatively 'normal' water heater. I went to Nicor's site, found the list of Energy Star water heaters, went to Home Depot's site, and found 6 water heaters that were on the Nicor list and for a lot less than the one that this company installed. So, do your research before getting a water heater.

They did a very nice job. The landlord paid for the work. They were very friendly and prompt. They were here when they said they were going to be and got it done. They let me know what was going on.

The overall experience was good! I do think their prices were a tad high.
