Patrick arrived promptly at 9:00 and started draining the old hot water heater. Alex and his assistant arrived a short time later and began removing the old and installing the new. They worked quickly and carefully. They did and excellent job of cleaning up after themselves and hauled off the old stuff and cardboard that the new equipment came in. It looks great.

They were very nice. They came that day and it was excellent service.

They came through for me big time! They were very good at coming out & replacing my water heater in the middle of the night. I’ve also used them several times at my mother’s house. They’ve always been on the pricey side but have always done good work.

It was fine. We had a problem afterwards with a leak and they came back and fixed it.

It was excellent. As far as their customer service, it was impeccable. Their call backs were timely. There was another problem he saw and he fixed it without charging extra.

They were really helpful and actually it turned out pretty good. We did have to have them come back; it was still under warranty. They were very quick to respond and make good on that. They were real diligent in getting the work done by the end of the day.

They were on time, efficient and very thorough. They weren't high pressure. They were very professional. I wasn't pressured in making a higher purchase or even doing whatever it was that they suggest. They were just very nice and respectful. They did a good job.

Overall satisfactory job. Little pricey for a water heater replacement but job finished on time.

We get a lot of roots in our pipe and the first time they didn't use a big enough cutter. Therefore, he came back and redid it with a big cutter and we haven't had any problem since. They were very pleasant about coming back.

They had to use a bigger auger than the smaller option. The cost was a little much but they did do a fine job. They arrived quickly and when they said they would be here, they were.

Called for an appointment regarding a water heater that would not heat. Office staff was friendly and professional. Came to check out faulty water heater. Discussed the differences and warranties between a repair and replacement. We choose a replacement. I went online to Angie's list to check out if there were any coupons. We used one that was on the site. Overall positive experience.

On Dec 16 I noticed bubbling when flushing the toilet in the basement of our house. Since this is a sign your sewer is backing up, I contacted Duane Blanton's to rod the sewer and remove roots grown into the pipe. Blanton's guy Bob came on the 17th and told me that the existing 4 inch interior access to the sewer wasn't enough and I needed to install an exterior 6 inch access so they could put a larger cutting device in. He said this could be done the very next day and would give much better results. Although the price was $1800 ( vs. $200-ish for a normal cleaning) I agreed. Ten days and two missed completion dates later (Dec 27) they just finished. This delay is partially because they got the pipe location wrong and had to dig two holes. This is partially because they had miscommunication inside the company about who was supposed to come out and find the correct pipe location. This is partially because they didn't get hold of the inspector before he went on Christmas break. They were polite and did take the price down from $1800 to $1700 for completing the work a week later than initially stated. The toilet doesn't bubble now, so that's OK. I just don't think I'd trust their time estimates in the future.

The worker was very courteous. The the first clean out was not sufficient. I called the city of Lombard and a representative came to our house and spoke to him and said our old city pipes are larger and he needed to use a bigger cutter. The plumber from Duane Blanton came out a second time and did the job again. There was no hassle about charging me more for the second visit. I have had no problems since.

Job seems to be completed to satisfaction. (since I can't see the piped under the ground, I'll take their word for it). Handled efficiently and quickly. However, the price wound up much higher than I initially expected.

Very neat and orderly job. No mess. Just wishing the price was closer to reasonable.

Very responsive and punctual. Technician shared issue and kept me apprised of choices, Did have to come back the next day as the water pressure was not as good as before. Replaced cartridge again. Very quick on return call.

They were on-time and on budget. We had quotes from other plumbers and they all fell into the ballpark. We choose DB as we feltf they were the best fit for our style.

I contacted Duane Blanton Plumbing and several other plumbers that received high ratings in Angie's List in my local area for estimates to install an exterior full-sized sewer drain clean-out and replace and section of pipe that was cracked and compromised by invading tree roots. Of all the estimates I received, Duane Blanton Plumbing and one other plumber were significantly less expensive than the others. Both of the estimators were very prompt, polite, and informative. I chose Duane Blanton Plumbing over the other plumber for the following reasons: - They own their equipment, including the diggers/earth movers - They showed commitment to a long term service relationship, not just a one time job. For repeat customers, they provide discounted rates on sewer drain cleanings and other plumbing services. The rate quoted to me for sewer drain clean out and video monitoring was one third the cost of what I was paying with a national plumbing chain!!! - They are small enough to provide personal attention, yet large enough to ensure 24/7/365 coverage. The individual providing the estimate was also the leader on-site during most of the actual work. He indicated that their is staff taking calls and performing work at all hours, including holidays. This was important to me as I had hoped the plumber I chose for this project would be the one I could rely on for any future plumbing needs. Overall, the job went smoothly and I was very pleased with the professionalism and quality of their work. A few items of note: - When the city inspector was late, the team stayed on-site waiting for him rather than leaving me to wait for him on my own. They wanted to be present when the inspector arrived to answer his questions and be able to finish the work on the same day. - Excellent clean up effort. I expected a large portion of my lawn to be destroyed, but they did a very thorough job moving the earth back to the dig location. Only real evidence they were there other than the slightly raised mound of dirt was a slight indent in the grass from the digger tread and a small dead spot where the digger dripped a little gas or oil.

We were very satisfied with the work performed. Duane Blanton will not be the least expensive option, but experience tells me that least expensive is not the best... We had no issues and could not be happier with the end result.

I can home to about an inch of water in my laundry room. I called Blanton and they sent someone out right away who determined the sewer needed to be rodded ($400). They had rodded my sewer only 10 months ago but part of the problem was that I only had an inside access point so the sewer was not getting a thorough rodding each time. I have an older home with clay pipes and lots of trees so the sewer needs regular maintenance. After some consultation I decided to hire Blanton to install an outside access point so that my sewer line could get properly cleaned each year in the hopes of avoiding having to replace the whole line. When Blanton was out marking where the sewer line was, I specifically asked the plumber what to expect. I was told they would dig a small hole, install the access point, get it inspected and then fill in the hole. When all was said and done, nothing would look different except for the access point. I was told this would happen on Friday when I was at work. I asked if I needed to be there for it and was told I didn't. I came home from work on Friday and half of my front yard was roped off with caution tape. There was an enormous pile of dirt (about 4 ft high and 10 ft wide) and over the big hole in the ground was a piece of plywood the size of a door. One of my shrubs had been dug up was was sitting on top of the ground off to the side. There were no workers around. I called Blanton and asked what the status was and was told they could not get an inspector out until Monday so things were going to just sit. I was upset because firstly this was not what I was told would happen and secondly no one bothered to call me and explain the situation. Apparently there was an option to pay an additional $100 to have an inspector come out after hours but again, no one called me to ask if that's something I wanted. I called and complained quite a bit. After a few phone calls, the plumber called me back and said there was nothing they could do until Monday but that they would put everything back the way it was before they started and that they would help pay for the landscaping costs if any were incurred. Great. I specifically asked the plumber to call me Monday morning and advise me of the status and he agreed. Monday came and I received no call. I got home from work and the hole had been filled in but there was still a big pile of dirt and my shrub was haphazardly placed on the top. I again called upset and was told Blanton was not responsible for any landscaping (even though this was contrary to what I was previously told) and that the pile had to be there as the dirt would settle over time. I called my landscaper who promptly came out and agreed with me that there was no way the large pile of dirt that was left would settle all the way back into the ground. I am now having to pay $100 to get some of the debris/dirt removed and my shrub replanted. My complaint with Blanton is this, that they managed this entire project absolutely terribly. If I had been given realistic expectations from the beginning, there would be no issue. However, everything I was told was underestimated and played down then I kept coming home to a big mess. No one bothered to call and explain the situation when it was contrary to what they originally told me. They did not follow up with me as I had requested. I am very disappointed in their customer service. Blanton has been to my house several times in the past for various jobs and even installed a new water heater. When the water heater was installed, I had to get them to come back out and level it and fix the exhaust because they didn't do it right the first time. Blanton is expensive and I don't mind paying for quality work and customer service. However, I will not be using Blanton ever again. They convinced me to buy a membership because it would save me 15% on all services. However, this 15% is limited to $150 which they did NOT make clear when selling me the membership.

Plumber stood behind his work. Agreement was made to have additional support finish work. No problem with plumber.

They did a good job. Pricing for me is average.

We were able to schedule the job quickly and the office people were very nice to deal with. The workers were late for the estimate and the job, but the office people called both times to let us know. There was also a short delay with some equipment they needed and didn't have. The biggest delay came from the city as they needed to shut off the water main from our very old and uncooperative pipes, and then turn it back on when the work was done.
