In addition to excellent workmanship, TC Majer Carpentry provided outstanding communication. Kept us up to date on the progress, and we worked together to resolve any "surprises" encountered in construction. Also daily cleanup was wonderful.

In exactly 40 days, three days ahead of schedule, Tim Majer and his group of craftsmen, built me a beautiful kitchen/dining room as well as redoing my bathroom and painting my family room. He secured all the necessary permits and set up village inspections where he was highly praised for his attention to detail. I can honestly say I had a stress free remodel. Tim has a team that included Detail Kitchens with designer Cathy Sullivan who listened to me explain my story board of kitchen ideas, gave wonderful advice throughout the project when I needed "certification" that my ideas would work, included features that I hadn't even told her I was thinking about, and was immediately available when an unforeseen problem in the ceiling needed instant attention and problem solving: ABT who knew my kitchen design when I walked in their door and had ideas for my appliance needs: Tony Maggio who owns Armored Plumbing, Inc. and handles a mean jack hammer when pipes need to be moved; Joe Nawrocki, owner of JJ New Light, Inc. who had the forsight to put in the new electrical box in October so that when the kitchen/dining room redo was done in snowy January and February, he was ready to go with the electricity; George Darby of GD Decorating whose painters Jose, Eider and Pepe can paint the straightest lines I have ever seen; Brian Schultz, owner of D**** Tile Service and Sons, whose artistic judgement was followed as to how my stone/glass tile would work with the subway tile to create the most pleasing backsplash; Percy Bell of Mid America Tile whose suggestion of 3 sheets of the stone/glass tile that made up just two small rows of tile but gave the whole wall a certain interest and POP; Rich Rosslin of Country Side Mechanical,Inc who kept the furnace going in the cold months, vented everything for the best circulation, and returned in spring to make sure the AC was in working order: Frank Gargano of Counter Source, Inc. who cut my granite counter tops exactly as I pictured them: and Scharm Floor Covering who installed tile whose patterns I continue to be fascinated with each day. I mention all these people because they are mostly owners of small companies, professional tradesmen who work well together, help each other if necessary, and really like working with Tim. Tim is a perfectionist and it shows. Each evening the work area was cleaned up and what had been accomplished was explained to me. There were no surprises in costs. He kept in constant touch with me by phone as well as encouraging me to check in during the day to see what was being done. He takes a great deal of pride in what he does and wants his client satisfied with his work. He had people working all but one day. No down time with this kitchen. I mentioned my utility room door that was askew that he fixed by adjusting something. These were the little extras that I really appreciated. He also introduced himself to my neighbors and gave them his card in case any of the trucks coming and going were ever a problem. They had his number. I feel you get what you pay for. Tim will tell you himself that he isn't the cheapest but I can honestly tell anyone that he was worth every cent that I paid. I had peace of mind that things would be done right by everyone and they were. I waited a few months to write this review in case there were things that didn't work out but I continue to be very happy with everything that was done. I would hire the entire group in a second!

He is awesome. He was plus plus rating for me. He's amazing. I'll be using him again. I'll have him come over to do some estimates on some jobs that needs to be done. I probably frankly won't even use anybody else because he's the best. He's not the least expensive but he's the best.

It was fantastic. I am moving to Houston and I wish I could move him with me. I would never call anyone else. He is a perfectionist.

He has done quite a bit of work for me in the past. He's very honest and his work is just fantastic. I would recommend him highly. He works alone. He's very kind and he always comes back if there's a problem which or never is the case. He's very punctual and he cleans up after himself every single day. We would never know that he was here when he leaves. He charges a little more than other people but it shows in his work. We've used him quite a bit.

In every instance Tim Majer showed himself to be a true professional who takes great pride in the quality of his work. He is pleasant to work with, and keeps his promises. He recommends quality products and makes sure the delivered material is free of flaws and imperfections. I would not hesitate to recommend Tim for any household job, both inside and out. He has built decks and gazebos for friends and has been responsible for major improvements to my own home. In refacing a large number of cabinets in my kitchen, Tim worked meticulously for several weeks to totally transform my kitchen to the look we desired. That effort alone convinced us that he would be the man we would call for future jobs. He has never disappointed us.

Tim arrived promptly every morning for approximately 2 weeks (which he told me in advance that's roughly that's how long it would take) at precisely 7:30 am ready to work. And his helper was right behind him. Both were very skilled workers. Tim's knowledge and expertise of deck building was only over shadowed by his getting every detail just right. When the ultradeck material was delivered, Tim was not happy with it, he said it looked used, all beat up, scratched, and just not acceptable to him, so he had the company take it back and had another shipment delivered the following day. He told me, if it was his deck, he wouldn't want that on his deck, so why put it on his customers deck. That's how Tim wants his customers deck to look, just like if it was his own. I couldn't see using anybody else to put up a deck for me. Tim's a true professional. I highly recommend him!

Tim was quick to get my estimate back once he came out to my home. It took him a few days to get out for the estimate, but he works alone, and did not want to interrupt his current job for an estimate. He explained he would not do so if he worked on my house either, and he explained that he would not leave my job once it was started. Tim is a little pricey, but I had a feeling I would get my money's worth. Once we signed a contract, Tim started about three weeks later. He showed up every day at 7:30am and didn't leave until at the earliest 4:30pm. He has a great work ethic, and really takes pride in his workmanship. This is evident once the job is complete. It took exactly one week to finish the work. He started on Monday and was finished on Friday. His quality of work is unbeatable, and he was a pleasure to work with. He cleans up every day after he is done, vacuums, sweeps and tidys up. The improvement in my house with this new woodwork is fantastic! Just remember when you get a few estimates, Tim may be a little higher, but you get what you pay for. I give him my highest recommendation, and when I get out of the "poor house" I will be calling him back to remodel my kitchen. I am attaching a few pictures, and please understand my house has not been painted yet, nor has the woodwork Tim installed. I just wanted you to see a sample of his laser precise cuts, I will try to add more photos once the work has been painted.

Tim has been doing all of our carpentry work for four years. We would never use anyone else. His work is first rate and his prices are fair. If you want a bargain price for bargain work, don't bother with Tim. The price he charges reflects the quality of his work. When we had our basement remodeled, and the building inspector found out that Tim was doing the work, he told us that we had the best. Another building inspector who inspected our outdoor work called him "Mr. perfectionist".
