He and Doug came out the next day, they explained the new system, answered all of my questions and made it very easy. I would definitely use them again. They seem to be honest and fair in pricing and very responsive to questions.

+ -1 moreHe was so helpful. Ryan was here within the hour after calling. After Ryan came for the inspection, we made the appointment. The techs were here right on time. He moved the grind tank so it was easily accessible compared to where it was and turned the tank so I could actually see it. They worked diligently until the job was done and gave me a very reasonable price. They also anchored where the drain connects to the sink so it stays in one place. The water softener even has a battery back up, which I am so grateful for because I won't have to worry about resetting again. They filled the softener with salt, which was included in the price. When I need more salt, I can just call them, and they will even check the softener when they deliver it.
Description of Work: I spoke with Ryan Knox who checked my water and then had the water softener replaced.

+ -1 moreOverall, I got great service and professionalism from Ryan. Ryan took the time to answer all of my questions regarding the equipment/product that he serviced and installed. I would highly recommend hiring Fox Valley Water for any plumping needs!
Description of Work: I called Fox Valley because they installed our Water Softener and Back Up sump pump 3.5 years ago. I wanted to have them serviced and inspected. I talked to Ryan who had installed them previously. Ryan promptly came at the scheduled appointment time and went to work. He inspected and tested the water softener and it was good to go. I also had him check the Hot Water heater and conduct maintenance on it too. Lastly, due to the recent bad flooding we received in the area, I decided to have Ryan come inspect the primary sump pump that came with the house. Ryan removed it and it definitely looked like it was at the end of its lifespan. I had Ryan install a brand new one made out of ceramic. He tested it and made sure everything was working properly before he left.

+ -1 moreWe made an appointment about a week later to come out and install the new system. The whole process was completed in about 2 hours. New connections were installed and the self tapping connections were sealed off. I was walked through the installation and told what to look for if there were problems. I was instructed to call if there were any leaks and not to use metal tools to tighten any of the plastic connectors. Filters can be bought online but he said just to call in a year and they will deliver the filters. They will also install the filters for a small additional fee - not necessary but a nice service to offer. There is a plastic, cheap tap that comes with the system. He gave it to me and the installed a very nice, chrome tap instead. Very friendly and was able to answer all my questions. Ill be using them again.
Description of Work: Had a reverse osmosis system which was outputting only 4 ounces of water. I also wanted to check on my water softner to see if it needed any maintenance done. They came out and checked the softner - it turns out is only 6 years old so it was installed just before we purchased the place. The water was soft so no problems there. The reverse osmosis system was another story. The tank that stores the cleansed water had a failed valve and thus, there was no pressure to output water. The filters were more than 2 years old (they should be replaced every year.) In addition - the previous owners had used self tapping water connections that were leaking and the systems pvc connections were also leaking. Finally the tap's seals were bad and caused a leak every time it was turned on or off. All slow - drips but enough to cause some damage. I was given the option to pay for the service call and the new tank and filters (totaling about $285) or replace the system entirely for $485. Since I was not in any position to tackle plumbing leaks and the need to replace the taps etc - I opted for the new system. I priced out the new systems before they arrived. I am aware that you can purchase a brand new system for $200 - $300. So if you are handy or have worked with these systems before, you might be okay buying one off the shelf and installing it yourself. I needed the leaks fixed plus my time and aggrevation are worth a great deal more than the extra $200 I spent to have it done professionally.

+ -1 moreThey provide very good service. They are honest. I bought my water softener from them. They are dependable. They call and they come. They are easy to work with. They are very nice people. For some reason something happened to my water softener like a month later, I called them up and they were able to tell me over the phone which buttons to be pressed to get this running again. I would use their service in the future.

+ -1 moreAfter 9 years the Culligan water softener that was originally installed in my home stopped worked (I'm on a well with a lot of iron in my water) I called Culligan and the price to repair or replace the unit was astronomical. So I called Fox Valley Water Treatment and Ryan came out the next day to look at my unit and do a water test. After testing my water he recommended I replace the broken softener with a new one and also install and Iron Fox iron filter. He gave me a quote on the spot and scheduled the job for the following week. The day of the service Ryan showed up with another technician and they had my old unit out and the new softener and filter installed in under 3 hours. They work GREAT! My wife is extremely happy with the quality of the water now that the iron/rust and smell (sulphur) is gone. Ryan is a great guy and I HIGHLY recommend Fox Valley Water Treatment! They're a fraction of the cost of Culligan or other big names and you get just as good of a product, along with my friendly and knowledgeable service.
Description of Work: Fox Valley Water Treatment (Ryan) removed my faulty Culligan water softener, and installed a new water softener and Iron Fox iron/sulfur filter.

John stayed to diagnose the problem (clay in the water softener) and cleaned the water softener and got it working again - (without charging us for his time!!) He came back to reinstall the Iron Fox. Our water is no longer smelly an the rust has been cut significantly!!

HE GAVE ME PERSONAL ATTENTION AND SHOWED ME HOW THEY MANUFACTURE THE WATER SOFTENERS. WHEN HE CAME OUT TO GIVE ME A PRICE QUOTE HE WAS VERY PERSONABLE, AND HE ANSWERED ALL OF MY QUESTIONS. I FELT VERY COMFORTABLE DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY. IF I COULD GIVE THEM ALL A+, I WOULD.
Description of Work: THEY TOOK THE OLD WATER SOFTENER OUT AND THEY INSTALLED A NEW WATER SOFTENER. AFTER THEY INSTALLED THE WATER SOFTENER I NOTICED THAT SOMETHING WAS NOT WORKING CORRECTLY AND THEY CAME RIGHT OUT TO FIX THE PROBLEM.
