Description of Work: There were 8 foundation cracks, some big and leaking and some developing. He carefully looked at the foundation with me to make sure we found all of them. He had me test one of them to see if it really needed repair --it did. Alliance was able to complete the work soon after the estimate. I received good advice, and the repairs have held.

After a professional mold inspection indicated that I had a mold problem in my finished basement, I called Greg Bowen of Alliance Restoration and arranged a date for an estimate. In the interim, severe storms hit our area. I, like many others, was faced with power and phone outages and a flooded basement. To further complicate matters, I was scheduled to fly to California in a few days on a family matter. Greg went out of his way to accommodate me. Though he was inundated with storm-related work, he rearranged his schedule and began work on my house on the same day he came to provide an estimate. I cannot say enough in praise of Greg and his crew. Professionally, the job was done with thoroughness, expertise and real concern for my property. Personally, Greg had true empathy for my situation and went beyond the limits of "just business". I highly recommend Greg and his company. As people and as professionals, they don't come any better.
Description of Work: Alliance corrected a pre-existing mold problem exacerbated by severe storms in the area which resulted in the flooding of my finished basement. Workers sealed off the basement area from the rest of the house. They removed the water in my basement, as well as all of my water-logged carpeting, which was cut and removed in plastic bags to the end of my driveway. All areas were inspected for mold. Baseboards were removed, as well as, some wallboard in the bathroom area. While thorough, workers were careful not to damage the wood paneling and furniture in the area. Mold was removed and the areas treated. Dehumidifiers and an air scrubber were set up. Follow-up visits were made by the workers. The air scrubber was allowed to run for more than two weeks to insure spore removal. A professional post-mold inspection indicated that the problem had been corrected. The job was monitored by Greg Bowen both during and after the procedure.

Greg was very patient and informative over the phone. I got a sense of integrity from him. He and his crew were on time for appointments. The quote was emailed over very quickly. The work was done as promised and post remediation inspection from a third party assured me they did a thorough job.

Greg Owen is very personable, polite, professional. He cares about doing a good job. He answered all of our questions and addressed all of our concerns. The actual work was done by Jose Ramirez and another helper whose name I didn't write down. Jose was also very polite and professional. They were here as scheduled, and the work was completed as promised. They left the area neat and clean. They were able to put the air scrubber into the attic so the noise was not an issue for us. Once Safestart had approved the work, they were prompt in returning to pick up the air scrubber and install the insulation baffles. While the overall experience was not what we would call pleasant, mold in the attic cannot be called pleasant, certainly the people from Alliance Restoration with made it less unpleasant.
Description of Work: Corrected the mold problem in our attic according to the Remediation Plan drafted by Safestart. This included setting up a containment field to prevent mold from coming into the house during the work; installing a protective barrier over the insulation; applying disinfectant, applying encapsulate, setting up air scrubber in attic. Also installed insulation baffles for ventilation, and cleaned out the roof vents.
