Description of Work: I had a bad experience with Trugreen so I thought I would try a local provider. It was an Angie's deal. It was a few more bucks than the national chains, but not a lot. Then I was surprised to get a request to pay more for broadleaf weeds control. This should have been a part of the basic lawn care package.

He called a few days before appointment to confirm time window that he would come out (8-12). The day of the appointment he never showed and never called. I will be requesting a refund, although it might be beyond the 30 days.

I will always ask them for a bid on future projects. I work long hours and travel so I want someone like joe who I can trust to get the job done right and keep his word.
Description of Work: Created creek bed for decorative drainage area, installed drainage pits to redirect water, prepared level site in yard for kids play set. Relocated sprinkler heads.

They have kept my lawn and my plants in beautiful and healthy conditions. They also design gardens which I see around the neighborhood. The designs are colorful, artistic and very beautiful to look at. They are always on time and they leave the garden very clean and fresh looking when they are done. In the winter they also have a reliable snowplowing business.

+ 0 moreOur experience was quite pleasant. We intitially called for lawn service. The girl that answered the phone was very nice and informative. She took my info and told me that an estimator would be out within a day or 2 and drop of the quote. The proposal was quite professional and easy to understand. It was very complete unlike other competitors that were very vague. The estimator answered a few of our questions. We signed up for the premier service and have been happy ever since. We also had Straightline Landscaping do our backyard landscaping. We called the office to get an estimate. The girl that answered the phone had asked us some question regarding the what type of landscape project my wife and i had in mind. She also asked us for a budget, which i had no clue. She explained to us that we were investing in our home and that buy providing her a dollar amount, it better prepared the estimator upon his initial visit. The estimator came out to our house. We spoke about the project and he was well prepared (Now I understand why the initialquestions), unlike some of the other landscape estimators. My wife and I expressed our ideas. The estimator was very informative and said that based on our budget, he didn't think we could do everything we wanted. He offered to design our "dream" and said that it could be done in phases if we wanted. During our discussion he offered some very good ideas and alternatives. Some of which actually saved us money. He returned a week or so later with our design. It was very professional. The design that was presented was a blueprint style which originally did not excite us. We had a couple estimators show us computer renderings but when we really studied the design, it really became clear to us that the design provided by Straightline was an working blueprint, not a concept. We liked this concept better because we KNEW what we were getting for our money. We decided to proceed. The crew was very efficient and professional. They started the project and stayed thru completion. They kept our yard clean during the project and cleaned up nightly. The overall project turned out great. It was great because they actually took the time to walk thru the project when it was completed. They even gave us detailed instructions on how to take care of all the plantings.
Description of Work: I love this company. They are extremely professionalism and provide an excellent service. We have used them for 7 years at our home. We had signed up for the premier landscape service. It is GREAT!!! Their crew is very effecient and does a wonderful job every week mowing our lawn and they even collect and take away the clipping (no paper bags anymore!!!). They weed the landscape beds every week and edge the sidewalk for that crisp clean edge which is an appreciated minor touch. And finally they always clean off the patio, walkways, and driveways. They also handle our shrub trimming for us. They do a wonderful job. Everything looks so clean, yet they really take great care to do what is best for my landscaping. My wife wanted a few shrubs trimmed a certain way. They talked with her about her request and explained to her that they could do it, however, it was not what was best for the plant. How many of these companies/guys running around really KNOW what they are doing? The owner and crew at Straightline certainly do. The maintenance package we signed up for also includes fertilizer and weed control for the lawn, spring clean-up, and finally fall clean-up. My wife and I invested quite a bit in our landscaping and it us truly a pleasure knowing that our perennials are cared for properly. They are cut back at the appropriate times of the season which is nice cause I don't have a clue. Also a bonus, when they do the fall clean-up, they clean up the leaves every week during the fall. They also cut later into the year then my neighbors landscapers which always makes our house shine, even at the end of the year. We also have Straightline handle our irrigation maintenance. What a pleasure it is to deal with 1 company for everything. They also differ from the other irrigation companies because they take into consideration my landscape's needs, not just setting a timer up to water everything the same. Their sprinkler tech was very knowledgeable and helpful. We have had them out to do some landscape work for us. The landscape designer was very knowledgeable. He took the time to answer our questions. He gave us options and did not just want to sell us landscaping for the sake of selling. He actually gave us options, some of which actually saved us money. It was well worth the wait. This company provides exceptional value and service. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Straightline Landscaping.
