Dupage Overhead Garage Doors

Someone drove into to garage at 1:00 am Saturday morning. Called Dupage Overhead Garage Door and by Saturday afternoon we had a new garage door installed! Thanks to Pete and his son for working so hard and efficiently (in the pouring rain) to help us in a stressful situation. The garage door looks and works fantastically. Pete and his son were friendly, professional, and reasonable. We highly recommend Dupage Overhead Garage Door. Don't call anybody else!

I contacted Pete regarding my garage door opener that his company installed. It was not working. After several attempts to have him come out he sent some guys to take a look. They started taking the opener apart when they received a call from Pete telling them not to bother because he knew what was wrong. They told me that he would get me a price because the unit was out of warranty. A week went by and I hadn't heard anything. I contacted the owner who told me his guys gave him the information on the opener, but seemed confused about what he needed to do. I told him that his guys told me that he was taking care of it. He told me he had all the information and get back to me later in the afternoon with a price. Several days go by and nothing. If my business is not important, then just tell me up front. Don't waste my time. I did some research online and after ready reviews on various websites I found that this is not surprising for DuPage Overhead Door. I contacted another company with a great reputation and hundreds of positive reviews. The owner, himself, came out and assessed my situation. It turns out that DuPage Overhead door used a lighter torsion spring than they should have for the size and weight of the door. It ruined the motor on the opener because the opener had been lifting dead weight without assistance from the springs. I replaced the old unit with a different brand and had the springs taken care of. Door works smoothly and quietly now. I tore the stickers for DuPage Overhead Door right off the wall and will never call them again. They have horrible customer service!

I checked Angie's List before I called and found a very positive review. I'm adding my own very positive comments. I called around 2:30 PM today (Friday) and I was happy to hear that they could have someone over in about 2 hours. The repairman actually came before 2 hours. He was very polite and skilled and the price was reasonable. I also asked him to replace the rollers on the door. I would definitely call them again.

I called a few places on Angie's list, and Dupage gave me the best quote and could come out the soonest. I called in the evening, and they were able to come fix it the next morning. One of our springs was completely broken, and the other just old. They replaced both for a good price, and the door seems to be working very well. Would definitely use them again.

Amazing !!! I can't say enough good things about the company and employees. The response was incredibly fast and the tech was punctual, polite and prepared. Not only did he repair my garage door, he made adjustments and now you can hardly hear it while the opener is in operation. I was expecting to pay some crazy insane amount ( Chritmas week and super early in the morning ) I was completely shocked when handed the bill Less than half of what I expected it would be. Thank you Dupage Overhead Garage Doors for saving the day and the beginning of the Christmas week.

I had Dupage install our garage door in 2008. I have been having issues with the door not closing and thought it might have something to do with the sun hitting the sensors. I contacted them on 03/11/14 and explained to the girl that answered the phone what my issue was. It was toward the end of the work day, but I was told that a technician would call me back. I asked the girl if she had my number and she said yes. I did not receive a call back that night, so I tried to call the following morning. The call went straight to voice mail, and I did not leave a message. I never did receive a call back from a technician, or anyone else associated with the company. Very disappointed....I would at least have expected a call back....will not be using this company again

The garage door opener is working well. The company came out in a couple days notice. No problems.

They were good. They came on time and gave me a couple of options. They finished the work in a timely and professional manner. Their availability, friendliness of service, and the fact that they did not try to sell me anything made me go with them. They gave me many options.

They did a good job. I liked them. The price was in line with other companies. They were prompt. They came out when they said they were going to. They cleaned up after themselves.

Workman called 30 minutes before to say he was on his way. Started working as soon as he got there. Asked if I had any questions after. Had me check over work before leaving. Very polite and friendly.

Overall, this was a very good experience. The springs on my garage door snapped on a Saturday afternoon. Even though they were swamped for the day they still came out in the late evening and did not charge me emergency rates! They came 15 mins. earlier than they had agreed to and Rich the repair man was very professional and courteous! They did not just replace the springs but also the cable and tightened all the garage doors screws. The garage door used to slam shut, but Rich made fine tune adjustments to the opener and the springs and now it shuts very quietly! The team did the job in the time they said they would and cleaned up afterwards.

They had done work for me in the suburbs, so I inquired if they worked in the city. I called in the afternoon and the serviceman came out the next morning. He arrived 5 minutes early, looked everything over and fixed it very quickly. He explained what was wrong and why it was sticking. We tested it several times before he left. I highly recommend this company.

EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE LATE, IT WAS BECAUSE OF BEING UNDERSTAFFED THAT DAY, THE GUY SHOWED UP AND DID A VERY NICE JOB. HE ALSO UPGRADED US TO A BETTER OPENER, AT NO CHARGE, BECAUSE HE WAS SO LATE.
