Another employee came to inspect the cage. This man said there was no damage to the roof line and no entrance to the attic area. I had to fight for a refund. I believed this was fraud. He was not answering my numerous phone calls. Since I used my Discover Card, I took my complaint to Discover. This did not get resolved until I contacted Angies List. Eventually I received a full refund. NO, I DO NOT WANT TO HEAR FROM THIS COMPANY. I WOULD NEVER CONTACT THEM NOR WOULD I RECOMMEND THEM.

We had something running around between the floors in our house. Rat patrol came out and installed mesh around our attic fan and chimney on our roof. The installed a one-way door so whatever was in there would could exit. They came back after a week and removed the one-way door and permanently sealed off the mesh. Haven't heard anything since.

They explained the whole process and they looked to see how the rats were getting in. They did a very thorough job on the original appraisal to give us an estimate. They were very straightforward and understood our situation. They were very understanding and sympathetic of the females in my house that were freaked out. They were just great. They have a lifelong warranty that we wouldn't get them back. One did get back in and they were out the next day without any questions.

We live alongside the Chicago River and found ourselves with mice in the winter. We were very frustrated and unable to rid ourselves of the problem with our own efforts. We called this company and the owner was able to come to the house immediately to provide a custom solution and estimate. I received quite an education on the infestation process of mice! He informed me that merely removing the rodents would do no good if we did not seal the house perimeter to fill any crevices over 1/4 inch. I was a little sticker shocked by the price of $1200. This included poisoning by setting the packets of poison in the walls and spaces in the travel patterns that the mice took, based upon his own expert analysis. Then we were to wait a week and a crew were to come and seal the perimeter of the house and crawlspace and fill any spaces over 1/4 inch thick with metal stripping. He said that they would chew threw any other material and the scent trail would always continue to lure them to our home. The interim time would give the mice the time to chew threw the poison packets and we were ensured that they would then leave the house! Afterwards, they would then disinfect the attic and basement of the house. The owner also ensured us that the poison they used was non-toxic to pets and children in the amounts used and would be placed where there would be no human contact. Also, the disinfectant was the same one used in hospital surgical rooms and was completely non-toxic and safe. We would not have to leave the house expect for an hour so in the areas that were treated. We asked for some of the living spaces to be disinfected as well, as we even saw mice in some areas of the house. Apparently, they completely colonize the walls and attic before you even see or hear evidence of mice! Everything went according to plan! After five days of the baiting, I could hear a mass exodus of scurrying in the walls - I believe they were all trying to leave! A crew came to seal the house and went above and beyond the original scope and did extensive sealing between our crawlspace and basement. They were professional and courteous. They then applied the disinfectant and we have not had any problems since. We waited a full winter to be sure the problem did not reoccur. Although we were told we would never have mice again, there was only a one year guarantee. This was due to the fact that there are additions and repairs made to households and the company could not be sure that additional opening would not present themselves for mice to reenter, which we were told they would always try to do. The owner was happy to extend the warranty for an additional year. All in all, this service was worth every penny! Highly recommend to anyone with a rodent problem. This really is a permanent fix! Great company and service!

Unfortunately, we've had pest infiltration (raccoons, then possum) twice in the past year. We contacted this company - which also goes by the name "Chicago Green Trappers." In both situations, they were timely and effective. The person we worked with (Jerry) kept up excellent communication throughout the process. In the case of the opossum, he took an after-hours call and got trappers scheduled immediately. They also worked to repair the damage done by the critters. In the case of the raccoons, they also helped us locate a great roofer to do some of the more major repair work. Highly recommended.

Their service was not good at all. They promised certain things but didn't do a lot of the things that they promised. They mentioned that they are going to take care of squirrels by confusing them. They came in and did half of the service and never came back to complete it. I called them about 10 times, but they didn't respond.

They seemed very competent. They seemed to have a very good sense of where the mice were coming and all that.

I cannot say enough good things about The Rat Patrol of Illinois. I have had mice "visiting" my home for the past eight years. They always stay awhile, leave their droppings, and then come back again whenever they choose. In the past, I had another company looking into the problem, setting bate stations that were supposed to send the mice out of my home - but it just never worked. I was always catching mice throughout the year and my basement had more droppings than I care to talk about. The Rat Patrol of Illinois was the first company to offer a real plan to end my mouse problem. Not only did they use the traditional bate stations to send the mice out of the home, they sealed the entire perimeter of my home along the foundation line which closed off potential entrance locations through the siding of my home where they were coming in from (they even went under my deck!). They reinforced the garage door and added caulk around the exterior doors where necessary. The Rat Patrol of Illinois was the first company to treat my attic as well - heavily baiting the area where the mice liked to hang out once they were in my home. Once the baiting was set, they allowed time for the mice to LEAVE my home, and then they sealed my home so they couldn't enter again. They cleaned my dropping-infested basement with a HEPA filter vacuum (a project I wanted nothing to do with), and then they sterilized the entire basement and my attic to take away any harmful remnants that were hiding. I was very pleased this sterilization treatment was done in my attic, where I know there were plenty of hidden droppings. Considering the fact that mice can transmit diseases through their feces, I felt like the problem I had in my home was a health concern for my family. They are such fast breeders - I mean, one female can have up to 10 litters in just one year!! I was sick of having to throw out food, books, and other household items that had been contaminated by their droppings. I am so happy that I chose to work with The Rat Patrol to end this problem! Jerry was wonderful to work with, very understanding, worked around our busy schedules, and always followed up to make sure I was happy with each part of the process along the way.

They came pretty quickly after the initial call and did a basic analysis of the situation, which could have been more through and detalied in my book from other competitors initial services, however they placed 8 bait boxes in my yard where the rodents were getting in, removed some dead ones and came back to re-fresh the bait two week later as they said they would. They even came out twice the second time because our outside gates were locked. They discussed how to permenantly keep the rodents out of the yard and we are following- thru with their suggestions. They were responsive and professional and are reasonabily priced. I would use them again.

One morning we found flour and other food items on our kitchen floor, and raccoon tracks. Another morning I had left 2 sandwiches on the counter, and one of them was completely gone, and the other one was on the floor. I have tried repeatedly to call him, but I have never had any calls returned. They did absolutely nothing but take $600 from me. They came back out and took the trap off the roof and I haven't seen them since.

Their name is misleading because they do everything. I am still working with them, but they are very attentive. They get back to me and will do anything I need.

They also treat for raccoons and squirrels. They came right out and they said that they will take care of it and be done with it. They also offer full service. The other pest control companies wanted a yearly contract which is because they assume that the problem will persist month after month. Besides extermination, The Rat Patrol said that they don’t do landscaping work but they said we would need a landscaper to do certain things. They did carpentry work underneath my porch. So they do things depending on what the job is and offer a guarantee. They didn’t offer me a guarantee because they don’t do landscape work. So they said they can’t guarantee to pay the landscaper but I would need the landscaper to do certain things. I haven’t found anybody else and so I cannot compare their prices. They came and did the job. They sent out a technician who was awesome. He came every two days for a long time but when I tried to call them later, they did not return my phone calls. As far as the job is concerned, they did a great job. They did an awesome job. I will use their services again in the future.
