They offer a free consultation so she just came by and did that. She had a very good sense of color, she was professional, and she was courteous. In the end I didn?t buy anything from them.

My decorator had provided me with a Calico Corners option and a custom workroom option for my bedroom. Since I liked the Calico Corners fabrics just as much if not more, and their estimate was significantly lower than the custom workroom option, I chose them. The quality of the finished product was excellent; however, it?s a good thing that I did not need the items in the quoted lead-times. Fabric that I ordered to have a chaise lounge slipcover made arrived in the mail very quickly. However, delays in the bedspread, drapes, and some pillows were caused by backordered fabrics or flawed fabric. The drapery fabric I really liked was a ?quick ship? drapery fabric, which meant I was paying more to supposedly have the drapes in 2 weeks, even though the fabric ended up being backordered and the drapes didn?t come in for at least 4 weeks. This was ok for me since we needed to paint the room and install new blinds first, so Calico happily held the drapes for a few weeks after they came in so we could get that done. Oddly enough, there is no way to get ?quick ship? fabric outside of the quick ship program. Most of the pillows came in during the quoted lead-time. When the drapes were installed, I also got charged for the bedspread that wasn?t ready yet, which I found a little frustrating. The first bedspread ended up taking 12 weeks to come in, several weeks beyond the estimate, and then my decorator and I discovered when she delivered it that there were flaws in the fabric. So, Calico had to order the fabric again. I kept the flawed bedspread until the new perfect one came in, at which point the flawed one was returned to the store. I was also given the option to keep the flawed bedspread at a discount but chose to get a perfect one at the quoted price instead. When the new fabric came in, my decorator checked it; it had the same flaws, so it needed to be ordered again. The third set of fabric came in with a small flaw that could be worked around (this is now 15 weeks after the initial order was placed) so the fabric was sent to the workroom. The perfect second bedspread came in 18 weeks after the initial order. For some reason, the fabric supplier of the flawed expensive Ralph Lauren fabric said that the fabric was not flawed, so Calico Corners had to eat the cost of the flawed bedspread. Fortunately I had my decorator to handle these issues and do the follow up, and I appreciate that Calico Corners felt it was important that I get a bedspread with no flaws. For some reason getting fabric scraps from the drapes, bedspread, etc. for shopping and matching purposes was very difficult. Calico ended up ordering me one sample of the drape fabric. I was hoping to have some scraps of all the fabrics but that was not provided to me. For some reason the work room doesn?t send back the scraps. On the upside, I would say that there are very knowledgeable sales staff, the quality of the finished product was excellent, they have an endless variety of fabr

The saleswoman Anne and she helped me because I told her that I don't decorate. She told me that I can decorate just pick out some things that I liked. Some of the cornices were buckling and she mailed two of the different choices in the mail with out charging me for the service to remake the cornices. They made sense of exactly what to do without actually coming to my home. The price was excellent especially for the bed coverings. Anne is more of a pleasure and a relief to work with. She made me feel like I did it myself even though it was her incredible expertise.

Wow, what beautiful curtains! We decided to splurge on custom curtains for the kitchen after finding nothing ready-made that worked. We went to Calico Corners and initially talked to a sales rep who had no real knowledge of fabric, curtain type, etc. and told us many things that were wrong. We placed an order that included things that would have been inappropriate for the space. But we arranged a home measurement, and the person they sent knew everything about curtains. She corrected the mistakes of the first person and allowed us to alter our order. She recommended the appropriate fabric, liner, hardware, and curtain type. A few weeks later, the curtains were ready, and the company sent someone to install everything. He put up the hardware with zero mess and the curtains look fantastic. It was very expensive, but the results are incredible; perfect fabric, perfect pleats, and gorgeous hardware that matches our chandelier. But be careful of untrained sales reps.
