After no problems w/the door, it wouldn't close on Wednesday evening, so disconnected the trolley and manually closed it. Called on Thursday, they were here first thing -- 8:30 a.m. -- on Monday morning. Checked all parts of door and motor, adjusted the lights, adjusted the rails, spliced around a piece of wiring caught and pinched. Adjusted the downward movement of the door. Works perfectly now.

In summary, if you are looking for low-end doors, this place might be worth your consideration. But for mid-range (which we got), while it wasn’t a bad experience, I think one can do better. They don’t even offer high-end doors (wood, custom). In the end we got the doors and openers we wanted, at a decent price, installed well, but the process could be better. Assume you are going through CostCo, here’s the basic steps. You call them, setup up an appointment, a salesperson comes to your house and shows samples, and if you order, some time later a person will call to set-up install date, the installers come, you get new doors / openers. What went wrong? * They charged my credit card as soon as the order was placed. Not a deposit, THE ENTIRE AMOUNT. Without warning me. [They also only take only AmEx (or checks), not other credit cards.] * They don’t have a very big selection. Fortunately they did have the door and the opener we wanted, but otherwise you’re out of luck. * DON’T ASSUME THEY ARE CHEAPEST JUST BECAUSE IT’S THROUGH COSTCO. It wasn’t the best price; Rainier Door was cheaper by about $200 per door. When I showed them the Rainer price sheet they matched (and slightly beat) it on the spot, however. * When the salesperson was at our house, he asked us to sign contract the right there. So it wasn’t really a “bid”, but really a sales pitch. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK AT LEAST TWO OTHER PLACES before you call them. Both so you don’t end up paying too much, and also you know what you want. * They weren’t as familiar with the products as I would like. e.g. they didn’t know about the repeaters required for the garage door so it works with HomeLink! Fortunately, I had looked ahead and knew to ask, or else the opener buttons built-in to my car wouldn’t work with the doors! Scheduling wasn’t the best * First time I scheduled, he showed up on the wrong day * After we had already scheduled the sales call, they kept calling me to schedule an appt * They didn’t call to confirm install date the day before, and to let me know what time the people. I had to contact them. The only real good part was that the install was near perfect. No mess left, everything done right, install looks clean

The sales person was excellent! On time, courteous, patient and very thorough. He came out in May/June 2012. He offered many options and recommendations and was not pressuring or pushy. He did not talk down to me to carry on as if I did not know anything, as some from other companies had done. He was largely the reason I was leaning toward going with DoorPro and the fact that he said they had A ratings with Angie's List, which I had just enrolled with. I said I would confirm that and if it were true, then we could move forward. In the meantime, the company called to offer another $100 discount as part of a special they were running, I confirmed the deal. The salesperson called to confirm my credit card info and we scheduled the deal. The installer was neat and on time and installed the door around July 7, 2013. The work was done efficiently with no mess left behind. The old door was taken and, with the exception of one screw coming out, I have enjoyed the quiet and insulation of my new door. Unfortunately, my experience turned sour months later, when it was discovered there was a mixup in my billing. Although the salesperson took my credit card info in May, the card was never billed. I however was certain my card had been billed and the door was long paid for at installation, so when they started calling months later, I assumed the problem was on their end or that it was some kind of scam. I asked them to send me a bill in writing. After I called to explain they must be mistaken, they kept insisting I provide proof that I paid. I finally checked my records, they were right. It had not been billed. In the back and forth of the conversation, is when things broke down. At one point, the lady in the billing office threatened to come take the door down since it was their property. The accounts receivable department lacked all of the decorum and professionalism of the sales person and the installer. If they had just sent a printed bill, like most companies would have done, I would have pulled my records without all the angst of the phone threats. This is the reason I could no say I would use the company again. It left somewhat of a bad taste in my mouth. Had this not happened, I would gladly call on them again. One last thing. The salesperson told me the door's motor would no longer require the traditional openers and I would have some new fancy schmancy technological way to open. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I think when the office knocked off the $100, he reverted back to the traditional way. I never called to follow up. In short. I like the door. Like the quality. Like the price. Would have loved the latest techy thing. But it 's not a bit deal. I did not like the way the mixup was handled.

It did NOT go well. First, the contractor told my spouse she needed to pay for the full amount up front. That seemed shocking, and should NEVER pay in full before work is done. This seemed suspicious, but sure enough the full amount was put on our credit card. I couldnt fine this company locally, and then found that the home office is in Indiana or east coast somewhere. We did not get good customer service. Then I saw on Angie's list that other people had poor experiences. My wife got a bit of pushback from the home office after my wife called the original contractor to cancel the order. We filed a complaint with American Express, who cancelled the charge. We had to call Door Pro a couple of times, and they were never apologetic and tried to say that the doors were and quot;customand quot; and had to be special ordered. Not true. They are very standard door sizes, and the doors we ordered were standard, styles. We then made a couple of calls to other providers with good ratings on AL. These told us they could have the doors installed within a week or two, and didn't charge more than a small down payment. Bottom line: If you are in Seattle area, going through Costco....I strongly advise against this service.

The crew of 2 arrived right on time after giving me about a 1 hour and quot;heads upand quot; that they were on their way. They went to work quickly and efficiently to do everything according to the original bid. At every step of the way they continually cleaned up any debris they created. My previous door was wood that I was repainting/sanding almost yearly and was not insulated. The new door is metal on both sides and has a thick layer of insulation between the layers; additionally it has a bank of windows across the top to add a more polished look to the exterior of my home. They finished the entire install in about 2 hours and it looks great! Note: this was set up through Costco.

Overall from estimate to installation, company has been excellent. Only minor problem was ornamentation which has yet to be installed. I was given a very good price as I priced the work out for identical door with two other companies in the area which came in higher. Door works flawlessly. Everything appears to be tight and well functioning. They could not use side springs on door as in the estimate, but not expecting to be charged for torsion spring substituted for side rail springs. Technician/Installer was prompt and did an excellent job not rushing and making sure everything was square an level. Would recommend highly at this point.
Description of Work: Via Costco affiliation purchased a carriage house style insulated Amarr garage door with opener and installation. From start to finish estimator through installation, displayed utmost professionalism and craftsmanship in the installation. Took away old door and left work site clean and free from debris. Delivered and installed what was asked for except for ornamentation which will be installed shortly because both pieces were not brought on installation day. Not expecting a problem with installation or timeliness. And because they have not charged me for the work yet, I feel it has been equitable in that thay have not been paid since the work has not been finished completely.

Every phase of this project - from the in-home consultation, written estimate, special requests addressed before finalizing contract, and the actual installation - were handled with the ultimate professionalism and customer consideration. The actual day of installation was the day the big and quot;Derechoand quot;storm hit the area. The installer showed up on time and spent all day working in the most inclement weather, making sure of a proper installation. When it came to reinstalling the preexistIng storm door after the new entry door was finally installed, the door would no longer fit. I was told by another company that had given me a quote (before I decided to go with Door Pro) that they absolutely would not be able to reinstall the storm door. When Door Pro came out for their estimate, I specifically asked whether my existing storm door would be reinstalled. Door Pro said there was a possibility it may not fit, but he felt very sure they could make it work. And that is exactly what the installer did. After already having spent an entire days work getting the entry door installed, the installer told me that he knew how much a new storm door would cost and would see what he could do to prevent me from having to incur that cost. Two hours later, working right through the and quot;Derechoand quot;, he did it! I am so grateful to Door Pro, not only for their installation of a beautiful entry door, but also for making such extraordinary efforts to save me the cost of a new storm door. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to others. My experience was great!

I was impressed they sent the door out. They came out to install the door on time. We had a car in the garage that needed to be moved, but we couldn't move the car out. In order to hang the door and remove the current door, he wanted to wait due to the car. We rescheduled for another day. I was very happy with the installation. They were courteous, professional and polite. The door is absolutely beautiful.

We needed a new garage door and found this company at our local Costco. They were the contractor on behalf of the Coscto door services. Unfortunately, as with many other outsourced services at Costco, Home Depot, etc, the point of failure is often the contractor who performs the work. This was no exception. DoorPro had us set up an appointment 3-4 weeks out because they were so busy. The night before we got a call from the DoorPro rep checking if he could reschedule for a morning appointment because he was very busy on the day of our scheduled appointment. I preferred to keep the original date and he said he would honor it, but may be 15-30 minutes late. The day he was supposed to show up we get a call after the time he was supposed to arrive asking again if we could reschedule for a morning appointment. I AGAIN said the mornings will not work and asked if he was still coming that evening. He said he was about 1 to 1 1/2 hours away. We again canceled the appointment given how late he was. He said he would be in the area sometime later in the week and would call us to again set something up. We never heard back and wound up calling another company that came out the next day after the call and we ordered our door.
Description of Work: Was supposed to get a new garage door. No services were provided by the companyn since they never showed up for the appointment.

Never again! A total of 15 telephone calls to Door Pro and Costco manager were required for a one car garage door replacement. April 22 the measurement taken and sale completed. Several calls to install - the order was "lost.." It was not until I asked to cancel my order to go to Home Depot did I get an install date. June 8 no one showed as scheduled to install. June 11 the person who showed to install did not "have the right tool." June 13 a person with the correct tool but could not take away the old door and stated he would return on Saturday - guaranteed! Ha! Four weeks and 6 telephone calls later the garage door was picked up, leaving my lawn yellow. No apologies from Door Pro ever. The Costco manager was helpful and as frustrated as me at the unresponsiveness of Door Pro.

I placed my order on March 14th, 2012. The door I wanted was installed on September 12th. I had been split between two choices, but the salesman said I can think about it for a few days, and just call if I change my mind. A couple days later, I called to change my order. Two weeks later, I received a call that my door was in. It was the door that was originally on the order form. I told them that was the wrong order, and gave them the color and design I had requested over the phone. They apologized, saying in so many words that I didn't do anything wrong, and that they'd reorder the door and call me when it was in. Six weeks after that (now mid-May), I called back to check on the status of the door. They hadn't reordered it. I made sure they got the order's color and design correct. The following Monday, they called to say my door was in. It was the door that was originally on the order form. I pointed that out. They said they'd reorder the door. I made sure they got the order's color and design correct. In mid-June (remember, I ordered this in mid-March), I called to check on the status of the door. They said they'd check and call me the next day. I received a call two days later that the door had (just) been ordered. I double-checked that the color and design were correct. I told them that I would be leaving town for two weeks, and since my existing door didn't lock, and since that was the reason I ordered the door in the first place, I needed something installed. They offered to install a temporary door while I waited for the door I ordered. A week later, I received confirmation that the door I ordered had arrived. I asked if, instead of installing the temporary door, they could schedule that door to be installed. No, I was told, I'd have to have the temporary door put in, then wait until I got back for the permanent door. That was installed before my trip, during the fourth week in June. Three weeks later, now mid-July, I had a crew arrive (outside their time window). They removed the temporary door, crumpling it under the packing straps as they tied it to their truck. I watched as they pulled the new door panels and saw that it was, in fact, the right color – but the WRONG DESIGN. At this point, I now have a wide open garage, with a temporary door which is now bent such that it is unfit to remount on the door, and a permanent door which is, again, not what I ordered. The installer called his manager to see what to do, and the manager instructed him to install the door, and that he'll reorder the correct door, and get back to me the next day. Two days later, I got a call from Door Pro's number during a meeting, but they didn't leave a message. I didn't receive a followup call. On August 9th, I called Door Pro again to check on the status of the current reorder. I was told not only that the door had not been ordered, I'd have to pay again for the new door. (You know, the one I ordered, the one they told me repeatedly that they'd ordered, when they hadn't.) When I explained in detail the situation, I was told that I'd need to speak with a manager, who would call me the next day. I received a call the next week, and only after I had posted the original version of this review. The door was installed (competently, it should be said) on September 12th. Side note: To contact Door Pro, your only choice is to call their main number. Each time, you will start from scratch, so if your request is anything but and quot;where's my doorand quot; you will have to tell your life's story, unless you ask them to read through your file. Call earlier in the day, because anything that requires any management intervention will have to go through their home office in Virginia. They will also promise to call you and quot;tomorrow.and quot; This will inevitably mean either two or more days from now, or never. The local and national representatives I've spoken with have misled me on several occasions. I can't trust anything they say. But worst of all, I bought this door because I find Costco to be trustworthy, and they presented Door Pro as a trusted partner. The Costco logo is even on my order sheet. My recommendation is twofold: Avoid Door Pro, and be very wary of Costco partners for your home services.

Simply superb!!!! Would definitely use these folks again. Saw them at Costco but went directly to the company and saved $$ over the Costco price. We got the Cadillac door with better insulation, a better rail and opener, not the chevy. The company was quite easy to deal with. The install took approx 2 1/2 hours. They took all the trash, the old door, rails and opener. They left the site as clean as it was when they came (I cleaned first). Can't say enough about these folks. Excellent!!!!!

After shopping I ended up ordering 2 expensive, insulated Amarr garage doors from the salesperson sent out by Costco, Albert Thomas. He was nice and informative and assured me the installer would be very experienced and I would have the doors installed in 3 to 4 weeks. After 4 weeks and no calls, I called the company and was told I should have know that my doors were custom and would take 6 to 8 weeks (how would I have know that?). I was then told the doors were there but they were too busy to get them installed for several more weeks, so we set up a date for installation. On that date, 2 young men showed up and started taking moldings off my garage. After a while they called me out to inform me they forgot part of the garage doors back at the Auburn shop (we live in Olympia), and could not finish the job. I told them to go get the parts and get the job done, but they said they couldn't as they were "busy" at the shop the rest of the day. They said they would come back that Friday and finish the job and would call first. So we stayed home that Friday and no one showed up. Upon calling VA (you can't call Auburn) they said they had no such job scheduled and I would have to wait 2-3 weeks more because they were again busy and they couldn't make any exception for me (REALLY). After spending hours calling back and forth finally I got an appt scheduled for that Monday. On Monday we also stayed around and I called that AM early and was told, yes they would be coming for the install. By 3 pm no one had called or shown up. So I called again to be told that there was an error and they would not be coming until Tuesday. This was hard to believe since I still had a phone message on my machine from Wendy stating the Auburn manager approved them doing the install that Monday. The appointment setter I spoke with even admitted she had heard Wendy tell me they would come on Monday. We had planned to be gone on Tuesday but rearranged our schedule. A young man called Tuesday AM and said he would be there shortly, but didn't show up until afternoon because he said he had problems with his gas card or some such thing. He was very sweet, however his manner of installation was not very professional as he threw nails and screws all over the place, making my husband very frustrated. I had not planned to complain because he was sweet, but there were a few questionable things about the install and after I stepped on a nail and my toddler grandchild handed me a screw from the driveway off the old garage doors, I emailed Albert, the salesperson and told him I wasn't too happy. I then received a phone call and Door Pro sent out Brennan Clifford, the install manager. He called several times during the day he was to come to let me know he was running late, and was professional and fixed everything when he came out and was very apologetic. I have to admit I unloaded on him. He is an asset to the company, but other than giving him a good report I don't have much else good to say about Door Pro. They won't make specific appointments so you have to stay home all day, the installation appts are made in VA but the installation office is in Auburn, and there is a lot of run around. I will be forwarding this to Costco. My advice, don't be lured by the Costco rebate cash cards (which I still have not received) and go with a local , responsive company that will not waste your time. Their prices are close to what I paid. I would have paid the installation fee NOT to have had all this grief and wasted time. The doors look nice, we will have to do some repainting as the vinyl moldings they use are not as wide as needed for our doors. Amarr makes good doors and they look nice.

Description of Work: I used Door Pro America for our garage door. We opened up the garage door one time and it stopped. The door was fine but the spring snapped. We were like ah crap. We had one car in the garage and one out and this was June of last year. They came out, replaced the spring completely on both sides and they even moved the brace for us because it wasn't in the best spot on the garage door. Oh, God, they were in and out in a hour. They have the spring maker thing right on their truck. It was cool. They have this big coil and stuff on the back and they do it your custom size. It was really cool to watch

They were excedingly hard to get in touch with. They were supposed to give us 2 Costco gift cards, one each for each $1000 spent. So they are not following through with things that were promised. We received several bids to have our garage door replaced and Door Pro was competitive with the other companies. We chose them, in part because we wanted the doors installed before the weekend of March17th. The salesman, Jonathan, was professional and knowledgeable about the product. We had a very old garage door and some structural challenges in the garage itself, but Jonathan took lots of measurements and pictures and was certain the new door would fit in the space and could be delivered and installed in our time frame. The installers were supposed to arrive about mid-afternoon the appointment day but didn't show up until almost 5:30. They also discovered that they would have to install the door differently than what we had been told, so they rescheduled for 2 days later. My husband wanted to be home for the installation, so he had to stay home from work again. The installers were supposed to show up first thing in the morning, but it was almost 10:00 before they arrived. The installation of the door went smoothly and it appeared to be working as expected when the installers left. The next day, we noticed that one corner of the gasket on the bottom of the door curled up as it closed, leaving a space of a couple of inches between the floor and the gasket. We called the first of the week to have the installers come back and make the necessary adjustment. I had to call the company a second time to get an appointment. As before, the installers were supposed to arrive between 8 and noon, but they showed up at about 3:45 in the afternoon. The problem was fixed quickly and satisfactorily. The installers seem competent but the appointment timeliness is a problem.

Scheduled the service through Costco and was given a good speech about what they can do and how wonderful they are, everything told to me made me schedule a service with them. I needed to replace a panel and put one with a window on it. The guy at the Costco Kiosk told me they service any door and can replace any parts for any manufacturer. On the day of the service the guy showed up and started taking measurements and at the end i told him what i needed to get done, he took a look at the door manufacturer and said they do not deal with clopay.I had taken half a day to wait for these guys to show up for the appointment and was unhappy to find out they do have clopay replacement panels nor deal with Craftsman keypads. The sales guy gave me his card and asked him to call the office, which i did spoke to a manager who told me that he could do the clopay door and what was told to me was not correct. He then told me he will contact the rep and get back to me. He never got back to me and today i contacted them and spoke to the director of sales who was rude and told me what was told was wrong. I told him that his people are giving me wrong information all over, for which he had no answer. All he had to say was let me see what i can do. Then i went to their website which shows that they deal with clopay. Called back and they said they do but to get parts it takes long time. They kept feeding me stories upon stories. Got tired of it and did not want to deal with them anymore. Overall total experience was a Solid F,. total waste of time and no one in the company has clarity of what they do. Very painful experience but glad did not get any installs done.

They showed up on the appointed date and got to work right away. Very professional people. They removed the existing door, rails, trim and other compnents and installed the door complete with new trim in approx 3 hours. They asked us to give them a call if we experienced any problems. The door works fine. We have had no reason to call them yet.
Description of Work: Initially we had gone to Sears. The tried to sell us a single layer door with installation for $1700. Then they tried to hustle us by saying that if we ordered the door by a certain date, they would take $50 off. Thru Angies list, we found A Door Pro America who gave us the same door with triple layer door with installation at approx $400 less than Sears. That certainly paid for our Angies List Subscription!

The service guy replaced the panel and adjusted the garage door itself. Also, added support to the panel. He did a great job. There was an issue with the scheduling once for a day in the morning that they were supposed to come out. Once they were here, they were great.

My original all wood door (16 x 7) was being replaced with an insulated Clopay door with windows. The two-man team arrived on schedule and immediately got to work. They completed the job in about an hour and a half and did a nice cleanup job. They also advised that I did not need to replace my garage door opener, although they did have to relocate it to accommodate the new door installation. I hadn't used my opener keypad in 5 years, and they took the time to replace the battery and show me how to reprogram a new code. They also waited while I checked that all of my remotes (hand and car) still worked after the installation was completed.
Description of Work: My initial email to contact Door Pro was not responded to. After the second attempt a week later, an appointment was setup and David came to my home for the free estimate. After taking measurements and discussing door styles, I decided what I wanted and David arranged for the installers to arrive three days later. Because of their initial lack of response, I did get a slight discount on the original price quoted. I had already received two other estimates for door replacement, and decided to go with Door Pro because their prices were better, and I didn't feel like I was getting the hard sell.

The initial installation was postponed due to a problem with the installer. Once that was resolved, the doors were installed. One of the openers was broken and another installation visit was required to install that. Then a third visit was required to install hardware and trim that was forgotten. the doors were ordered through Costco and we were charged twice for them, once through Costco.com and once through Door Pro via the local Costco. Door Pro America is not responding to our calls about the duplicate charges and disputes have been filed with American Express. The quality of the product is fine but dealing with this company has been challenging and i would not recommend them.
Description of Work: 3 garage doors were installed with new openers.
