I’ll be calling Mike again when I need more electrical work done. He installed a new front porch light on our 90-year-old house. I wanted the new fixture 10 inches higher and of course the old wiring was a mess. Mike did a neat job cutting thru the old stucco and got it installed where we wanted it. Reliable and knows his way around an old electric system!

Hired Advance Electric to replace an electrical panel in my house and was very satisfied with the work. Mike and Rich came out to give a quick estimate and had the work done work a few days later. Communication was great and the work was done quickly and professionally.

Two other electricians could not figure out the issue causing our partial, intermittent electrical failures. But Mike solved it quickly, he replaced and right-sized the breakers -- and he ultimately diagnosed the source of the problem (a bad ac condenser). Smart, efficient and responsive. I would definitely call him again.

Michael found the issue and was able to repair it. Initial wiring done by one of my family members was not secure. Michael fixed it in a couple of hours and all was working again. It was hard to find someone to come out for such a small issue. Advance Electric replied right away and was out in a couple of days. Other companies I called didn't even return my phone call.

Mike did a fantastic job and offered a great price for the work that was done. Mike is very knowledgeable and explained everything that needed to be done as well as various different options that were available as well as what the cost would be upfront. He not only got the job done well, timely, good price but also was very neat with the work and didn't take excessive amounts of drywall down to get the new larger panel in despite the pipes not moving. In the end there was only a very small hole which needed to be made to accommodate one of the pipes. I easily filled the hole in with joint compound and you can't even tell it was there. I would recommend Mike to anyone looking for solid electrical work done at a great value.

I do a lot of home repairs myself. I was not comfortable installing sup-panel. I trusted Mike and he came through. I would say Mike did a better job than I would have done myself. It was done expertly; with quality materials; and in a timely manner. The light switch has been a mystery since we moved in to the house 2 years ago. I couldn't figure out what it controlled. Mike rewired the switch to control an outlet that my wife uses for her curio cabinet. Happy wife = happy life. Thanks Mike! The price was the price quoted. Mike did the job job in the time as quoted. Everything went perfectly.

They were able to remove the old light fixture, figure out the best way to move new light fixture to the desired area, get supplies and install the new light fixture in an hour and a half. Very friendly, easy to work with. Would recommend.

It was not a problem at all to discuss "surprises" that he found along the way and how they would be handled. Without hesitation, I would recommend Advance Electric for any electrical work.

The service call went extremely well. My electricity went out in two areas in my basement. This included the area where my furnace is located. I couldn't get two levers to re-set after shutting the breaker off and on. I got an electrical shock trying to force them into place. I called multiple electricians, and the wait for service was several days. It's December in Chicago, and waiting that long for heat was not an option. Mike is a blessing. I told him about my problem, and he arrived to my home within the hour. He was very friendly and was not put off by my questions. He re-set the levers that were stuck, found a short and fixed an overhead light in the sump pump room were the breaker is housed. I have heat!!! I didn't have to pay hundreds for a whole house inspections or more than a thousand for a replacement breaker as some suggested. I have other items in need of repair in this old house, and Mike has agreed to put me on his scheduled to get my electrical work completed. Thank you Mike!

Best money we ever spent. Mike and Rich were conscientious and offered great suggestions on how to fix wiring that was done incorrectly by a previous owner. They were professional and extremely knowledgeable about what needed to be done. Advance Electric pricing was fair and very affordable. This will be the company I use if/when I need some more work done.

Mike and his partner installed azek deck lighting. The deck post cap lights had complicated directions but Mike deciphered the directions and had the entire deck-all 16 post cap lights-wired and working within a few hours. Again he worked very quickly in hot conditions. Attention to detail and a thorough explanation of how the wiring works was helpful.

Mike and his crew ran conduit and wiring for my new garage. They worked fast and finished the job in a day even with very hot temperatures. Again, very professional and high attention to detail.

Mike and his partner worked very well together and quickly. They had the entire job finished up in one day. What I particularly liked about Mike is that he is very straight forward and doesn't cut corners. He explained what he thought would be the best course of action and did not try to up sell me on a 200 amp service. His price is the price for the job-no hidden fees or unforeseen-which is nice because he is again upfront and honest.
