Jeff provided a firm price based upon my measurements of the work area for our circular driveway. They showed up when scheduled and provided a very neat and professional seal coat. Since the driveway was new, a few areas required touch-up. They came back promptly to re-apply the seal coat with no additional cost. I only obtained one quotation, so I can not say if they would be lower or higher than others, but the quality work and customer service provided value to us. We would use them again.

This is the second year in a row that I have used Schell Sealcoating. If you are looking for the cheapest option, this is not your choice. If you are looking for a service that is meticulous about pre-cleaning your driveway, trimming back any vegetation that may line your drive so as not to contaminate it and use of a more eco-friendly/safe sealant, this is your service. I am very happy with the quality of their work and will use them without hesitation next year.

I was looking for a seal coating company that used an environmentally friendly product as I kept hearing about the health concerns to humans and animals with the traditional coal tar products.  I've only used companies with coal tar sealing products in the past.  I was pleased to find highly rated Schell Sealcoating Co.  Owner, Jeff Schell, returned my call promptly, answered all my questions over the phone, came out personally for the estimate, answered more questions and provided a quote that was less than I've ever paid before for seal coating my small, single car driveway.  He was able to schedule me quickly since school was about to start and we have lots of foot traffic on our sidewalk/driveway area.  His team was friendly, professional, neat and did a great job. My driveway looks fantastic--still about a month later and after some heavy rains.  I will be calling him again for the next application in 2017.

I'm downgrading the quality of this work from a "B" to a "C".  It's been about 7 months since this work was done and it appears that it will need to be sealcoated again when the weather improves.

I don't know if the sealant they used just seeped into the asphalt, but even the places that they came out to repair are cracking again.  Not sure if this is because the driveway hadn't been sealed for so many years, but there are a number of spots that are no longer black, and the cracks that were sealed (twice) are cracking again and the sealant brushes away.  I think the service of this company is very good, but I am starting to question the quality/thickness of the sealant that was used.   Is this the typical lifespan of sealant?

Also, it irks me that they filled in some of the wheel dips in the asphalt (and other minor grade change areas) but they did not fill one of the major wheel dips.  Bugs me every time I look at it

Will need to reach out to them again when the weather warms up to see what can be done.  Once that happens I will re-review and re-grade as appropriate.

I could not be happier.  They were prompt in getting an estimate, followed through with timely communication dealing with rain delays.  The driveway looks terrific and was significantly less expensive than the original estimate because the crack filling was less extensive.  They came back promptly to fix some areas of washout from rain and to refill a crack.  I cannot recommend them highly enough.
