First, we loved the design. But the experience was horrible from start to finish. Josh is totally unresponsive. Never kept any of his promises. One of the trees and one of the shrubs died. Despite the warranty, no replacements. They completely re-sodded our front yard. Grass is horrible. It died within a few weeks, big gaps in the grass, never filled in. We watered as instructed. Funny that my neighbor had sod installed a short time after ours and his lawn is beautiful. Ours is so ugly and mostly dirt. Brick walkway is settled and bricks are now uneven. Looks terrible, also a tripping hazard. They installed lights on one side of the yard. However, the controller was insufficient to handle the load. We had to actually remove one of the bulbs for the rest of them to work, They never finished the other half. Finally, he was supposed to bury the drain for the sump pump and connect it to the village storm drain. He never contacted the village inspector. They came out after it was all done and found the installation to be flawed and not within code. After contacting their attorney, JK Designs finally sent out a crew to completely re-do the installation and under the village inspector's watchful eye, it was finally done to his satisfaction. But, as you might guess, I have no grass over where they had to redo the drain pipe. Of course, it looks like the rest of the yard anyway. Summation: Josh is a VERY talented designer. We love the design. But DO NOT LET HIM DO THE WORK. It will never get done and you will have no recourse. Sadlly, during the design phase, I recommended Josh to my other neighbor, who used him and his experience was even worse. I also keep hoping that he will make good, but doesn't look like that will ever happen.
