It went well. The inspector was thorough and explained what he did and did not find. He was very good about answering my questions and explaining the process.

We are so happy with the job that Leon and his crew did. This is actually the second time we used them, as we ended up backing out of a contract on the first home we had a contract on because of the inspection findings. Both times we were extremely happy with the job that was done and the quick turnaround of the inspection report. Both times we had it in less than 24 hours - and it is a very comprehensive report. The best compliment I can give Leon is that I hope he never inspects a home I am selling. He was very thorough in inspecting our new condo, both inside and out. Not all inspectors will inspect the external property of a condo since that is part of the association property, not the unit, but that ended up being very important for our purchase. This was a three unit building so our share of any association repairs will be quite substantial. Leon identified several association issues and we were able to negotiate our share of the expected cost into our purchase contract. Leon is also very professional and trustworthy. I paid Leon immediately after the inspection and he still returned two additional times to inspect the roof when the weather improved, and again to inspect a heating system that the current owner failed to turn on the first two times. I would highly recommend Leon and Home Advantage.

My husband and I hired Leon at the recommendation of our realtor. He performed an inspection on two different houses we considered purchasing and on my grandmother's house as well. Which by the way, is in ZION. We are currently under contract on the second home he inspected, and my grandmother's house sold. Leon is always incredibly professional, extremely knowledgeable, and VERY thorough. Both inspections were almost 3 hours, and while that seems like a long time, it is only that long because he doesn't miss a thing. Leon likes to tell his customers that he is a paid pessimist, and while that may be the case, he will make sure to point out the good as well. You can tell Leon has a strong passion for his job, and when your home is in good shape, you will definitely know. He is certified in a variety of areas, and provides as much information about what he finds in your potential house as you could possibly want. My husband actually enjoys inspecting homes with him because he really takes the time to explain what he sees and discusses his findings in great detail with us. He has even taken the time to teach my husband a number of things about the construction of a home. I would HIGHLY recommend Leon. He is very responsive by both email and phone, and even during a holiday week, when he was incredibly busy, he sent us the inspection report that same evening the inspection was conducted. Again, I HIGHLY recommend Leon for all home inspection needs.

Leon was as complete and comprehensive as I could have hoped. I had a substandard inspection when we purchased out last house which cost me $25,000+ when it was all said and done so I was not interested in the same result. Leon was on-time, knowledgeable about homes of this period and their typical issues and was helpful in thinking about prioritization of issues. In the end it allowed me to credibly approach the seller and negotiate a moderate discount on the purchase price which I wouldhave needed to get the deal done. I would definitely use him again.

I had them come twice. The first time they came for a virtual inspection, without a report, which costed me, $100 and I hired them again for an inspection with a full report and was charged $300 additional. They were excellent and I give them an A across the board. I will use them in future again.

After having had a terrible experience with Inspectrum in the past, I set out to find a more thorough and responsible home inspector. Leon was recommended to me by a prominent builder on the North Shore. Leon and his assistant Nick spent 5 hours going through every possible detail of a very large house in Glenview. I wouldn't have thought of even looking at 1/10th of the issues they detected. They didn't just check boxes and go through to do lists, they really examined what was important. Also, since the inspection, Leon has answered all of my questions regarding the inspection as well as recommend contractors for possible work to be done. Leon was extremely punctual, professional, and personable. He arrived right on time with tools, computers, and all sorts of high tech home inspection gadgets. He went to work in our townhome and was able to find every little detail that could not be seen with the naked eye. As first time home buyers, Leon completely put my husband and I at ease. He was extremely thorough and did not leave a corner unturned. We recieved our home inspection document within a matter of hours through email. This document illustrated every imperfection found in our townhome along with pictures to support it.
