Etruscan has been in business since 1978, and our reputation is unmatched on the North Shore. We have replaced hundreds of roofs in the Highland Park, Deerfield, and Lake Forest areas. We continue to care deeply about the quality of work that we perform. We still to this day hand-nail our shingles to ensure that your roof will provide you with many years of worry free performance. Our workmen are all trained in how to care for your home while the work takes place, tarps and plywood are set up to protect your landscaping, and a thorough cleaning is done once the job is complete to ensure you and your loved ones do not step on a forgotten nail. We offer free estimates to all of our customers. We do not use subcontractors on any of our jobs, all of our workmen have the proper insurance and workmans compensation needed to provide you with the peace of mind that if an accident were to ever happen on your job, you would never be liable. Description of Work: Our roof was damaged in a windstorm and after a few quotes we decided to use Etruscan. They were prompt and timely in completing the work, kept us informed when weather delayed them one day, and were helpful in discussions with our insurer regarding aspects of the work the claim adjustor had overlooked. We were very happy with their work and highly recommend them.

Description of Work: Called to get an evaluation on my flat roof. They told me that it needed replacing. The cost would start at $5000 but could do up depending on how many old layers were on the roof. I contacted Leak Stop Roofing for another quote. Their rep, Chris, spent 1/2 hour walking me through my roofing showing me that everything was okay. He also informed me that a reputable roofing company will core a sample of a flat roof in order to determine how many layers are there in order to determine the amount of work to be done.

It is not possible to know how many layers are on a flat roof without cutting into the roof. it is company policy to not cut into the roof for obvious liability reasons. Since there are many different ways to bid a roof, and not all proposals are apples to apples, I can't comment on how the propsals differ. Leaving a bad review because we would not cut into your roof is petty. We set up the appointment, came out on time and gave a detailed proposal in a timely manner. I am sorry if we did not meet your price point, and we know we will not get every job we bid, but we try our best to make sure you have a good experience with us.
