This is the third time that I have hired Kozy Heating to do work on my home. They first came out to do warranty work on my Generac whole house generator and this time I had them come out to clean the boiler and do a one year service on the generator. Making an appointment was not a problem and they came to the house on time. Joe Jr. and his co-worker went to work and in less than 30 minutes, the jobs were completed. Honestly, these are the go to guys for HVAC and whole house generators on the SW side of Chicago and adjacent suburbs. I am glad these people are in business. They are courteous, honest and they appreciate your business. If anyone in Angie's List is looking for a firm to do HVAC work or to install a whole house generator, this is the company you should hire.

I called Kozy around 10:00 a.m. and they met me at my condo after work, around 5:30 p.m., found which air conditioning unit was mine by having one man in my condo and the other on the roof, communicating using a cell phone to figure out which of the 50 units was mine (I know, who would NOT mark units when they built the place?) A 70-mph storm was coming and you could see it fast approaching, but with their obvious skill and heroic attitude, they got the contactor installed and were out of there just when the wind hit, about 25 minutes later. Great job - stellar performance! 5 STARS! You have to understand, I live on the 4th floor and it was HOT in there. Prior to this, around 15 years ago, they installed central air in a new addition in the house I lived in prior to this and did a great job.

They are really great. They're just very reliable and we feel that they're trustworthy as well. The installation of the units done by them a couple of years ago all worked out very well, and also it was at a fair price. Their prices are reasonable.

To me this is an outrageous price for the work that was completed

I used Kozy heating a couple times for my AC over the past two years. The first year the freon leaked out in my old unit and he came by and did an investigation. He could not find a definitive cause at the time so he took the outside coil with him and pressure tested it on his free time. I did not mind since it was not hot during that week. He came back and changed out the stem since it appeared to have a very slow leak in the valve. The next year upon first start up I was not getting any cold air. I opened the AC and saw that one of my wires was burned up. I replaced the capacitor and the wire and still no cold air. This was during an odd heat wave in march. He suspected the A-coil might be bad. My furnace at the time was 36 years old and the Ac was 16 years of age. He gave me a general quote to replace the both. He also re-filled my freon. I chose to go with another company for the installation of new equipment but if I still had my old equipment I would definitely call Kozy Heating for all my issues. He is very honest, trustworthy, and a good person overall.
