Very well. Work was done in about an hour and a half. Showed up within an hour of my phone call. They were very neat and clean.

They were very friendly and polite over the phone, he was able to essentially diagnose the problem over the phone. They did the work on a Saturday with very short notice, they cleaned up well and solved the issues quickly. They did charge a bit higher for a Saturday service call, but it was understandable due to the short notice. He was very honest with me on what I should expect in the future.
Description of Work: Our bathtub drain was backing up.

The first time I dealt with Rocco, it was great. I was out of town, my sewer was backed up, and he came by and took care of it. Three months later it backed up again. I called and he said he would come out. He called to say he was on his way yet never came. I called and left a voicemail asking him to come out ASAP or I was going to find someone else. No response. After 2 weeks of sewage washing up on my driveway, I called another company and they were at my house inside of 45 minutes. Honestly, I really like them, but this kind of response is unacceptable in a business that is largely driven by pseudo emergency situations. Good guy, but unreliable.

We had a seriously clogged main sewer line. It took 2 guys many hours - working into the evening in the dark to unclog it. They could easily have given up earlier, but stuck with it and managed to get everything working. They made recommendations to improve the system with a new ejector pump - a recommendation we are going to take.

He is easily reachable on the phone and responds promptly. He arrives on time as promised, and calls ahead to tell us when he is on his way. There was some delay because the water turnoff in the front lawn was buried, and the Public Works Department had to dig up part of the lawn to find it, after getting the utility locating service to mark other buried utilities. Once that was done he worked with the Village, and was here to get the work done in 1/2 day. When he removed an old concrete double laundry tub, he was done in less than an hour, and I never saw any dust or mess from it, even though he had to break it up into pieces, and took it out to his truck a bucket load at a time.
Description of Work: Most recently,he installed 2 new frostproof hose connections outside with new turnoffs inside, to replace outside faucets that were at risk for freezing with indoor turnoffs that didn't work. He also installed a new main water service shutoff that was leaking. He worked with the Village for me to coordinate water shut off at the street while the new inside main valve was replaced. He was very neat in removing the minimum amount of paneling and drywall in the basement to get the job done, leaving neat holes to be fixed by the carpenter. He has recently done bathtub drain cleaning. He installed a new kitchen and bathroom faucet on our new countertops.several months ago. He installed a new water heater this summer, and removed an old concrete laundry tub, and replaced it with a new plastic tub, and hooked up new faucet connections and drains for the tub and the washing machine.

We love these guys! Not only do they protect everything in the work areas, take off their shoes or wear shoe covers when they work, they are professional, pleasant, efficient & problem-solvers. They also are very nice people, and a pleasure to work with. I highly suggest them. Like the Angie's List commercial says, "I will always call Roc's!"
Description of Work: We are doing a kitchen remodel. The last review for this company was for a complete basement water pipe switch from galvanized to copper. This review is for work related to the kitchen, plus a few new & old problem solutions. 1. Our catch basin has been overflowing into our laundry tub (and therefore, onto our laundry room floor, into the floor drain, into the sump pump & back out to the catch basin) every time we have a heavy rain for the past 2 years. Our former plumber always cleaned out the catch basin or routed the drain as a solution. When I told Rocco about our problem, he suggested tying off the pipe between the catch basin & the laundry tub, diverting the washer/laundry tub drain to our ejector pump. Voila! Problem solved. Now I don't need to be afraid during every heavy rain. 2. The hot water heater died. Mike laid out tarps to protect the floors, and he & Rocco replaced the heater. 3. The cement around the drains in the 1963 concrete laundry tub is wearing away around the drains, so we decided to install a new laundry tub. Rocco suggested a brand name, and we checked it out at a local plumbing store. Then Mike broke up the 2-sided concrete tub, taking time & care to protect everything around it. Our Chicago faucets have been leaking for years, so Rocco replaced the cartridges, caulked the tub & Mike cleaned the entire area. I love my new tub! 4. The former owner replaced drain pipes leading from the kitchen sink to the catch basin. Because we installed a garbage disposal & a dishwasher (where there was none before) after we moved in, the pipes were at a bad height for drainage, so every 6 months, our kitchen drain backed up - $95 per trip to rout the drain. Because the kitchen is torn apart now, I asked that the drain pipes be removed all the way to the basement, & installed correctly to allow good drainage, so Rocco & Mike installed new waste & vent pipes. 5. Rocco & Mike also replaced all of the galvanized pipes from the basement to the kitchen sink. 6. The stove top gas pipe stuck out from the wall almost a 1.5 feet inside our cabinet space - the former owners had removed a Chambers stove top which must have required a longer pipe. The pipe was cut back to the wall & capped. 7. Our former wall oven was a gas oven. Our new oven is electric, so Mike cut off & capped the former gas pipe which lead to the wall oven.

Our first impression of Rocco & Mike was positive attitude, professional, tidy, thoughtful & respectful to us, our home & each other. As well as professional, they were both nice guys with a great sense of humor. I am a woman involved in most of the mechanical workings in the house, and they treated me & my opinions with respect. Where have they been all my life??? They immediately covered the entire work area, including stairs, with wide rosin paper. Then they covered every work area with tarps & started the work. Since they needed to come back the next day, Mike cleaned & vacuumed the entire area, and stored his tools neatly for the night. They removed all of the debris the next day, and cleaned the entire work space. All of the new piping looks good & works great!
Description of Work: Removed all existing old galvanized pipe from meter to water heater, supplying laundry tub, washing machine, 1st floor kitchen sink & tied in to existing copper pipe throughout home.
