Great job Was very professional

Our house,built in 1944, needed many repairs: cracked exterior paint on the main house exterior boards, broken vinyl siding on the addition, back door stairs and landing displaced by tree roots posing a safety hazard, old and drafty windows. We wanted to have all these problems fixed by a professional and had other contractors come to give us their opinions and estimates over the course of last year, but Todor was the only one who carefully looked at all the issues, formulated a solution and made us confident that he is able do a good and reliable job. We had worked with Todor previously and found him to be relaxed, pleasant and very trustworthy in addition to a skilled professional. We consulted him from the beginning to the end pf the project. Todor had many good ideas that improved both the functionality and the beauty of the project. For example he convinced us to use cement board to replace the broken vinyl exterior and he matched the color of the paint with that of the cement board so that the painted wood boards and the new cement boards are now almost identical and the house has more unity. He made extra effort to accommodate our wish to have more insulation under the exterior and under an overhang. In addition, whenever he found something unexpected, he showed us the problem and devised a solution. The present project took place during the months of July and September, with an interruption due to the windows being delayed. Todor and his crew came on time every day and worked very hard, rain or shine. They took off the old brick and concrete steps, built a beautiful deck with two fixed benches, replaced vinyl siding, painted the rest of the house, and installed a huge patio door / 2 windows combo, other windows, exterior door and garage door. We are very happy with the results and the whole process, especially because we were hesitant about the details and were able to adjust them until the last moment. Todor?s work is characterized by an attention to small details of functionality, to future problems that he foresees and does prevent, to a stubbornness to do the things right, even with more effort. For example, he noticed that improper previous work had caused rotting of the boards around the exterior door and steps, and after replacing the boards he took a lot of care to properly install flushing around the deck, so that the water will have a good way to drain. We also noticed that he continuously teaches and corrects his crew. In conclusion, we are very happy with the results, will hire him again for future work and would confidently recommend him.

I needed 17 windows replaced and installed in an apartment unit. I contacted Todor to get an estimate on just the installation since I had already purchased the windows. He gave me a very fair price and we set up a time for him to come out, pick up the windows and install. I also had to coordinate the schedule with my tenant in order for this to happen smoothly so he gave me some possible dates he was able to come by and do the installation weather permitting. This was a 2 day job - the first day, Todor and his crew removed all the existing original windows and installed them. We also discussed making sure all the windows were properly insulated with foam as well as aluminum capping on the outside. During the installation, we found that the 3 of the lintels were badly rusted and needed attention. He explained to me most window installs are done incorrectly and that typically the lintels are covered with aluminum which hold the water and accelerates the rust process since there's no where for the water to go. He was able to repair the lintels for a reasonable cost and said they were still in decent shape and didn't need to be replaced. Everything else went as planned. The windows look and work great. My tenant was very complimentary about his professionalism and cleanliness and I am happy with the final product. I worked with Todor last year on my own house and have nothing but excellent things to say about him. He is honest, knowledgable, easy to work with and takes pride in his work. I would most definitely recommend Todor and his crew for exterior work. I have already gotten an estimate from him to perform siding work and plan to start that project in the fall.

did job as described; no problems at all; work was done in one week time which was fine with me; did want him to put in metal hand rail but he said that he had never done that before;; this was an added job, not the original job ordered and I appreciated his honesty: cost above included materials which he did give me a contract for the work before beginning;

Todor did an excellent job on our house. He was honest and up front, and after our first initial meeting during the presales process I had a very good feeling that I would ultimately choose Alenia Exteriors. He took his time with the work, i.e. didn't rush things, and paid attention to the details. He was responsive to my feedback and questions, and when the work was done the results exceeded our expectations. I would definitely recommend Alenia Exteriors to anyone looking for exterior work on their home.

Complete waste of time. The contractor showed up and promised an estimate for the job, but he never delivered.

Called provider Sept. 29th, never received a return call. Moved on and used another service provider.

The vendor came initially to give an estimate for a exterior repair and painting project. After discussing the issues we were having with some of our external cedar boards, he suggested that we wait on some of the work we were thinking of doing until next year. He offered some very helpful and insightful advice that several other vendors, including some A-rated Angie's List members, didn't including switching from solid stain to a wood-based paint in order to seal the boards and prevent subsequent freezing and thawing breakages that plagued some of the other boards that are beginning to crumble. After setting up a plan for next spring to comprehensively address the exterior, we set up a time for him to come out and repair a broken exhaust vent that was resulting in cold air blowing into the house. He came out just a few days later (and well before the weather turned cold) with a new vent and insulation to repair the problem both inside and out. Additionally, while he was here, he helped with a package that my wife was assembling. He's friendly and knows his stuff. I highly recommend him.

We found Todor on Angie's list, and we are so glad we did. Todor was very responsive. We liked him so much that we didn't even bother getting other quotes. Todor explained exactly what he was going to do throughout the whole process. When he found some additional rotted boards unexpectedly, he saved them to show us to make sure that we understood why additional boards had to be replaced. He did a fantastic job for a very reasonable cost. We have hired Tudor several more times. He put a floor down in our attic with a new folding ladder. He also replaced several windows in our house. We are getting ready to have more windows replaced, and we wouldn't even think of hiring anyone but Todor. Todor really understands what it means to provide good customer service. He is very professional, and keeps the job site clean. We feel so lucky to have found Todor!!

He came out the day after I called him to fix some siding that fell off from the side of the house. He came the very next day! The work very quick, efficient and he also put up with my barking dog. I really appreciated his flexibility and that he was able to come in so quickly to help me out. I would recommend Alenia exteriors.

Outstanding. Todor is an artist when it comes to trim work including over stairways. And joining pieces together undetectably. Continue to use his many talents for jobs that are outside my area of expertise.

I called them over the weekend to schedule an estimate. Let them know it was a relatively small repair job, that was fine. They called day of appointment to confirm & Todor arrived on time. One of my downspouts had been knocked off/away from the house by a contractor a few months ago & it needed to be reattached. Todor fixed the issue right then & there for a very reasonable price. He asked if I wanted to upgrade the downspouts, I declined as I have multiple house & yard projects I am working on right now & could not add another. He was fine with that. Very nice guy & should I ever need services they perform again, will definitely call them.

Work is excellent, he was on time and did a great job and did not leave any mess behind! Put oversized gutters on garage and the pitch is perfect for drainage. We are going to use him again in Spring to change out the gutters on our house.

Todor is great! He did a great job. He fixed some things, we did not even realize needed to be fixed. Worth it in every way!

It went really smoothly. He did all the capping right with the brick. He did it just right. The price was fair and it looks great.

I received approximately 6 estimates from various contractor for badly needed repairs to the exterior of our house. This work involved masonry restoration as well as extensive trim work. The trim is not only decorative but functional on my Tudor style home as it actually serves as a protective barrier over face brick which was constructed with channels cut out to accommodate the cedar trim. Odd but that's how it was built. This presented challenges as many contractors didn't want to deal with both masonry and carpentry work. I ended up hiring an excellent contractor to do the masonry work and subsequently hired Todor from Alenia Exteriors to do the necessary carpentry repairs. Todor had many excellent ideas and was genuinely interested in lasting repairs as well as making everything look great. We ended up choosing cedar trim and cedar lap siding which was painted on both the front and back sides and the end grain. This is a very important step to ensure this material is adequately protected from the elements. Many contractors didn't want to bother with this step or insisted it wasn't that important. The bottom line is other contractors didn't want to spend time to properly prepare material. Todor's schedule was booked up and it took awhile to actually begin the process - this was communicated to me upfront but I was willing to wait for his schedule to open up in order to contract him for this project. Todor performs the work himself - I like the idea of having the same person provide the estimate and also do the actual work. Todor's crew is also equally hard working and skilled. I found Todor to be easy going and honest throughout the entire process - in the end, everything looks great and is done properly at an extremely fair price. I will definitely hire Todor and his team do do future exterior work.

Contacted various providers in January for estimates. Was told by Todor it would take 3 weeks to get a crew there. Instead, Todor kept coming by with other suggestions, which were good. However, when I told him I would sign a contract in February, did not receive. Kept stopping by with other options after I had committed to all materials. In April, when I complained, told me he had to leave the country for a month but work would be started the last week of June. Offered to do multiple items for me to compensate such as upgrading materials, Came back June 24 but did not respond to my emails until the end of June. Had my $9,500 deposit so I finally made a big deal of the issue. Told him the work needed to be done or I would terminate the contract. The next week a huge crew showed up to do my roof. It then took over 3 weeks to have the other work done. The day the roofers/siders were there, they completely destroyed my landscaping north of my home. When I brought this to Todor's attention, there was no response. I hoped it would grow back but after a landscaping consult, I was told the plants would not regrow. When I asked Todor to replace, first I was ignored, then I was informed by Todor's wife, Meri that they did not promise to not damage my landscaping and therefore were not liable. Todor also agreed to replace ceiling drywall inside damaged by rain. This has also not been completed. The workers also repeatedly let my dogs out of the yard while working or because they did not leave the gate as they found it. T I had many nails and foreign cigarette butts in my lawn and garden upon completion. I've paid half of the money up front, months before any work was completed. Several times Todor told me he was going to order materials but then would come to my home later to discuss other materials. This concerned me after Alenia already had my funds. Given the many months it took Alenia to complete their work, I suggested I pay the remainder of their fee in kind. The result was an unfriendly email from Todor's wife suggesting that Todor did may extras for me (agreed upon due to the lack of scheduling) and they owe me nothing. If you use this company, be prepared to wait months, have workers at your home for weeks and get over it if they destroy your yard. UPDATE: Upon posting of this review, Todor came to my home and threatened legal action if I did not immediately remove or rescind the review.

Contractor communicated very well with updates and was persistent in locating the siding needed

Very good job Second time we used Todor. Small problem with inspection by village but was able to quickly overcome. Very happy with overall result.

Excellent work, honest, reliable.

I tried calling them 3 times on three different days during working hours and leaving three messages that i need an estimate, they never called me back. I find that unprofessional and a waste of my time. If the job is not what you do, or too small for you, call me back and tell me this, don't ignore me, that is a terrible way to do business.
