D & L Pools Inc

We have used this company for over 10 years and have paid them a lot of money. I called Mallory to schedule our opening in March, and I reminded her they never fixed the leak from last year (which they told us at closing they would). She told me she was scheduling for the week of May 20, which I said was fine. The week of May 20 came and went and they did not show up so my husband called on Friday, May 24 to find out what happened. Mallory was not available so he spoke to the owner, who said we were not even on the list. He said they would be out on Monday. They showed up at 3:30 p.m. and left briefly after. Since they did not open the pool, I repeatedly called to find out what was going on. Mallory was always too busy to take my call. I even spoke to the owner. To make a long story short, we finally had to hire another company to come tell us what was going on--they had not even opened the pool. That is not the way to treat long-time customers. Find someone else!

I have had two pool "emergencies", and both times, this business has really helped. The first time I had an old multi-port valve that decided not to switch from recirculate to filter, and though I had to drive to Hanna City, I was able to get the part I needed same day. The Metro Center store was very helpful in getting me on the right track to what I needed. The second really dire emergency was when I split my sand filter casing on one of the hottest days of the summer, which of course shut the whole thing down without filtration. They brought me an identical new filter from Hanna City to Metro Center the same day, and we installed it ourselves the same day, so a crisis of green swamp was totally avoided. They were cheaper than Central Pool Supply - CPS wanted to charge me for the sand, too! Not to mention D&L is much nicer to deal with, especially if you happen to be female. I educate myself on pool chemistry, so I really don't "buy" any chemical advice pool stores try to give, i.e. all-in-one products and phosphate treatments, and D & L is no different here. But because they bent over backwards to get me what I needed in a rush, I'll keep giving them my business.

We have an old hot tub and it had a series of issues. The service provide was responsive and honest. Despite the three separate problems, the cost was still lower than some of the other companies. Overall I would recommend this company.

While work was performed adequately, and workers were competent, I was very frustrated and disappointed whenever contacting D&L Pools offices to schedule services, or check on status. Many promised responses to inquiries were not completed, without numerous re-contacting. Their billing services was problematic. Needed several phone calls to get the actual billing corrected. They did readily acknowledge the errors and fixed the issues, but shouldn't have taken so much of my time and effort. I found that each task requested required different personnel to be scheduled and required multiple interactions to have them each completed. Prior services with other companies were much simpler, with overall coordination of services handled by the company themselves. I realize this was peak service demand timeframe for swimming pools. It seems they were not equipped to deal with workload, although this should be repeating every year they've been in business. I do NOT recommend D&L Pools for basic pool services.

Everything went extremely well. Purchased it & had it installed within a week. They were extremely helpful and patient with me (I've never owned a pool before so I had a lot of questions). Would highly recommend them.
