Description of Work: My recent experience with Wilmette Window Washers was my late request for a pre wedding window cleaning. Walter responded promptly and sent a crew to "save" the day (my Polish mom was about to arrive) She (and we) were very impressed Walter's estimates have always been a little more pricey than other "bids"...but worth the extra bucks -- his crews are professional, competent and thorough (and have always respond to extra requests, like, "can you change this light bulb that is out of my reach?). bjd

Still waiting. 3 months later.
Description of Work: It took several calls to get Walter the first time in May 2008. He told me he was very busy, and it might be as long as a month before he could get to me. Calling back several times (every 2 weeks x3), he eventually came out for a quote. Every time, he acted bothered that I was calling and told me that he didn't forget about us. Although we were home when he came to give the quote, he didn't ring the bell or make any effort to talk to us. Just left a business card in the mail box with his quote, saying that they could do the job in a few weeks on a specific date (June 27). I took the week day off to be home to let them in. When he never showed up, I called. His response was that (although his quote never mentioned this) he expected us to call him and confirm the date if we wanted the job done. I chalked it up to poor communication. He made no effort to apologize for the confusion, just acted put out that I even questioned him not coming. He promised to call back "later in the week" to give me a new date. Now, in mid August, I've given up on him. Although he has glowing recommendations on this site, I found him pretty unreliable, with poor communication and little effort to contact a potential client. I think he is probably too busy to care.

Description of Work: I called on Tuesday for a residential window washing job. Walter said his people would arrive Friday at 8:15 a.m.; they did. They completed the job (30+ windows) in about 4 hours in a neat and workmanlike manner.

WHEN THE WASHERS HADN''T SHOWN UP AN HOUR AFTER THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO COME, I CALLED THE COMPANY. THE OWNER WAS VERY APOLOGETIC AND SENT A CREW RIGHT AWAY. THE JOB WAS DONE WELL, BUT ONE OF THE WORKERS MOVED AN OIL LAMP ONTO THE STONE MANTLE OF MY FIREPLACE, LEAVING A PERMANENT RING. I DISCOVERED IT ONLY AFTER THE CREW HAD GONE.
