Description of Work: Shower door. They did a great job.

Description of Work: They cut 3 pieces of mirrored glass to fit the shelves in some built-in niches in the corners of my dining room and entry hall. They were odd shaped niches to begin with and it turned out they were slightly irregular. One niche was wider at the front than back; one was wider on one side than the other, which made it difficult for them to cut. One piece had to be returned to be re-cut as it was too long. | |They originally told me it would be about a week for the pieces to be cut but two weeks later they called to say they needed to come back out and remeasure and draw a pattern because of the odd shapes of the niches.The woman I spoke with admitted it was her fault for the delay as she had forgotten to call me about needing to send someone back out. Once the niches were remeasured and the patterns drawn, it again took more than a week and a phone call from me before the pieces were ready for pick-up. | |They were very nice each time we spoke and immediately re-cut the piece that was too long. I do plan to use them again for an additional project with the niches. Now I know that it may take longer than they estimate. | |

Description of Work: Waukegan Glass came to install mirror wall in my finished basement which is quite a good size.One of the managers/owners (forgot his name) came to my place to inspect and to give quote. He was professional, honest, and considerate. He worked with my budget. I was very happy with the service.

Description of Work: In late October 2014 I contracted with Waukegan Gurnee Glass to replace a large (approx. 4ftx8ft) pane of fixed window glass that was cracked. It seemed, when they came to measure, that the person doing the measuring did a sloppy 'guestimate' rather than an accurate measurement. I reported this to the office and asked them to measure again before ordering the glass, but they declined to do so. Installation was scheduled for late November. When they arrived to install, they realized the new glass was not the correct size. They remeasured, ordered a 2nd pane, and attempted to install it on January 13, 2015. (Delay due to holidays, severe cold and snowy weather.) The 2nd glass was also incorrectly measured. They remeasured again, ordered a 3rd pane and successfully installed it January 29, 2015. In each case the scheduler was proactive in arranging for a new glass pane and prompt in scheduling installation when the glass was ready. The installers were unfailingly polite and hard-working despite the multiple errors in measurement and despite the difficult location of the window. It was aggravating to have to arrange 3 different appointments, especially in the middle of winter. I would use them again, and would urge them to be much more careful about measuring.

Description of Work: We had three door inserts to replace, one large square in a back door and two large oval pieces in the front doors. The scheduling for measuring and installing were prompt and professional. The front door pieces needed to be re-ordered, and this was done quickly and efficiently. The office staff, as well as the installer, were all polite, professional and kept us informed as to orders and installation dates. I would highly recommend this company.

Description of Work: Some of my windows lost their seal and there was condensation between the pains. One window was broken. Waukegan Gurnee Glass replaced one cracked window and changed the seal on about 6 windows.

Description of Work: We purchased a frameless pivoting glass shower door from Waukegan Glass. They did the installation.

Description of Work: We had to replace 9 months old custom shower door which was wrongly done by some other company. Glass broke to millions very small pieces. We called Gurnee glass after reading some very good reviews. Estimate was performed quickly and accurately (previous company performed measurments 5 times). After experiencing terrible customer service and pretty much no warranty with a preivious company I asked for warranty in writting and it was provided to me with estimate. After doing some more estimates we decided to proceed with Gurnee Glass. Their estimate wasn't a cheapest one, buth this time we decided to proceed with reputable company. Work was performed in 2 hours. Installer explained what to expect (I had concern that door was hard to close), cleanup all the debris.

Description of Work: I have a very old home, and they put in about 16 large storm windows on my first floor. This was a difficult project because I have leaded glass windows that I wanted to maintain. Other companies wanted to replace the windows, which I did not want to do.

Description of Work: A cracked stationary thermal window was replaced and a shower door was repaired. The plastic strip at the bottom of the shower door had split, collected water and mildewed, and the door had begun pulling apart from the frame on one side.

Description of Work: The company made a custom window screen for me. Our windows are somewhat strange in that the screens are on the outside of the windows, rather than inside. I discovered a window screen was missing from a window in an upstairs bedroom. I guess it must have blown off in a wind storm & I only noticed it when the weather was cool enough for me to open the window to allow the fresh air in. I took a screen from another window in the same bedroom for them to use as a template. They built a new screen and also replaced 2 plungers (fasteners) on the old screen I brought to them as a sample.

Description of Work: Replaced the glass in 38 windows in two bow windows using lowE with Argon thermo panes.
