Simopoulos Construction has been in business for over 25 years serving both Lake County and the northwest and north shore areas of Cook County. We are able and experienced to provide the very best in quality and detail to each and every customer. We believe in doing the job right the first time. In today’s world this seems to be a lost commodity. Nobody should have to redo what they just did. It is unfair, and it’s just not right. Our goal in serving you is to build a long lasting relationship based on trust and communication. Our work and our skill will always speak of our integrity but you the customer will speak for us. Part of what we do is first sit with you to listen and learn exactly what ideas and dreams you may have. Communication is the most important aspect of the project, from beginning to end. We work one on one with every customer to ensure every body is on the same page at all times. There are no details left out. If there are to be changes, then we deal with them in the appropriate manor. Once we understand what is expected we then formulate a plan and a list and work it all into a budget which is affordable and fair to customer and contractor. We are upfront and open about everything and never ever do we cut corners to save time or to hide an underlying problem. We are up to date with all codes and regulations and work closely with the code officials when permits have been issued in the passed. Being responsible and truthful ensures good and healthy results. Our concern for the privacy and well being of the lives for each family are also taken into consideration. We understand that a remodel project can be very intrusive. This is why it is so important to us to conduct ourselves with the utmost respect for you and your home and also have consideration for your time and privacy. We have created a system of working orderly and clean in order to keep the rest of the house as dust free as possible and never intruding in area’s we do not belong. Honoring and respecting each customer and working with in our boundaries ensures long lasting relationships. Our contracts and work orders are extremely customer friendly. They are highly detailed in the information area, work process, schedule of payments, and also list the customer’s consumer rights. The terms and conditions are agreed upon by both customer and contractor and nothing is signed until there is a clear understanding and a fair agreement by both. A deal is only fair if both sides are happy and then the contract becomes a means of protection for the relationship which is being created. In conclusion, we are determined to create an experience with you within any construction project that can be exciting and rewarding and that the anticipation of your dreams can come true.

Great! My elderly mother had a fall and we needed to install handrails in her bedroom and in the hallway. My father did not want their home to look like a nursing home, so we discussed with the Nick the option of doing wood railings that matched the look of the house. Nick went above and beyond in crafting something that helped my mother feel more secure while appeasing my father. No easy task. He did a terrific job and was so respectful and considerate in dealing with my parents. I can't thank - or recommend - him enough.
Description of Work: Crafting, staining and installing wood railings for hallway and bedroom.

Went very well. Felt very comfortable trusting him and was pleased to see the end results of the work including photos of steps completed within a process that were no longer visible upon completion of the project. No problems; no complaints.
Description of Work: In selling my home, I had a list of things that needed repair from the buyers home inspection. I met with Nick, showed him the list of things that needed to be done, and got a quote. He then went to work doing what needed to be done, and did the jobs right and with minimal inconvenience to me (there's always some when having someone work on your home). I got his name from my realtor who both uses him personally and recommends him to her clients and I see why. He is honest, hard working, and does the job right. Having moved in with my new bride, I've already called him to the house to fix some home maintenance needs. I continue to be please with his results, professionalism, and friendly personality. I am particularly pleased with the scope of things he knows how to fix. It's nice to have one guy do the work than deal with multiple companies.
