The salesman came out and wanted to talk first before going on the roof. He asked if I had gotten any other quotes yet and how much they we're. When I told him I had and how much he snickered and said he would be much higher. Saying that they offered a lifetime warranty on 3D architectural shingles and a 10 year warranty on labor and how his contractors were better than the rest. When I told him that the other quotes included a lifetime warranty on 3D architectural shingles and a 10 year warranty on labor as well and one of the companies offered a 15 year warranty he just said yeah but were the Home Depot. I really felt like he was being condescending and rude and he acted like he had better things to do. I got the message I won't be calling you again and I had to wait a week for them to come out.

All went well with install and payment. The problem came up 2 years into the program when I had a problem with trees growing out of the gutters. After two calls to Home Depot pro install service rep and a call to the local store to be told they would call pro service and have them call me back (which did not happen) I took care of the problem on my own. This is not the reason I paid over $1,000 to have this done. The biggest problem is of course that they just ignore you in hopes that the problem will go away. Which it did and so did I. I will never use Home depot again! Follow up to this is that I called Pro Service and talked twice to supervisor. I was informed that they were going to send someone out and take care of the problem. It has been another 3 weeks and nothing has happened. If this is the type of "Great Service" you expect and are willing to pay for, be sure to give them a call! Otherwise call someone else!!!!!!!!!!!! Al Schettino

The customer service at the front desk was outstanding. I purchased some materials on-line for delivery at the store. The store was very responsive to call me when the materials arrived. They also provided hassle free returns. One toilet that we received had a defective top, they had someone pull a new toilet from stock, open the box and exchanged the top with no problem, Better experience than I expected from a big box store.

It was very difficult for them to stand by their contract. It was only 20 dollars for the extra wood, which I was willing to pay and yet they had the audacity to just had to put it on there and leave knowing well that that wood had rotted. I also caught the serviceman using my electricity to charge his battery instead of his own. They're experience and professionalism was very good though.

I had a very good experience with them. Their price was low. I will use them again in the future.

I had a rebate, which was pretty confusing. The deposit was refundable after I brought the equipment back. I was pleased with the results. I think a professional company would have done a better job, but I was pleased for doing it myself.

I think they did a good job. We had them do some extra job on the post in the front. They did an excellent job on that as well. I don?t have any complaints about the work that they did. They were competitive. We were not too happy with how quickly they got back to us.

I would say they did okay because my wife was the one dealing with them. She seemed to be pleased, so I would give them a high rating because of this. They brought us what we were looking for, so they did a good job. I would rather not disclose the price for this.

I went to HD and got a lot of info from a VERY nice, professional salesman. I decided on the laminate flooring I wanted and went back to purchase it while it was still on sale. When I went back, the guy I was working with wasn't there, so I waited 45 min. for any assistance, then got someone who was patronizing, rude, and indifferent. It was the last day of the sale, so I ordered it. First, he couldn't figure out how to work the computer. He said it was available at other stores. I drove to the other store who didn't have it. They referred me back to the store closer to the house. I went back there and placed the ''special order''. The salesman verified it was still available and placed the order. 2 weeks later, I get a call that the order wasn't placed right, and it's actually out of stock. I need to come in and select something else or cancel the order. I canceled the order and now, 2 weeks later, I'm still waiting for the credit.

Exterior of Bow Window was put up in a shoddy manner, with virtually no effort to correct. Rather than make a separate roof or install a sealed window, the installers used a cheap appearing aluminum trim & puttied to the soffit to "seal" the unit. This is a leak waiting to happen. Debris & clothing were left on site, driveway markers were run over when project manager, Shaw Clifton, came over afterwards, only to say the salesman should have sold us a bay window instead. Only offer was to coordinate aluminum trim color with siding which should have been done in the first place. Total lack of substantive response, the window detracts, rather than adds to the appearance of the house.

I ORDERED THE COUNTERTOPS IN APRIL 2004 AND HAD A HARD TIME GETTING THE INSTALLER TO CALL ME. THE COUNTERTOPS WERE INSTALLED IN JUNE 2004. ALTHOUGH THE INSTALL WAS DONE PROFESSIONALLY, AFTER THE INSTALLERS LET, I NOTICED THAT THEY HAD CRACKED 2 CERAMIC TILES ON MY KITCHEN FLOOR. I CONTACTED THE INSTALLER AND INFORMED THEM ABOUT THE PROBLEM. I DID NOT HEAR FROM THEM AGAIN ALTHOUGH I CALLED NUMEROUS TIMES. I THEN CALLED THE GURNEE STORE, BUT GOT NO HELP OR RESPONSE. I WENT ON THE HOME DEPOT WEB PAGE AND LOGGED A COMPLAINT VIA EMAIL, THEN GOT A CALL FROM THE STORE MANAGER, WHO SAID IT WOULD BE TAKEN CARE OF. I RECEIVED NO WORD FOR OVER A WEEK SO I CALLED AGAIN. THIS TIME I WAS TOLD THAT SINCE I SIGNED OFF THAT THE JOB WAS SATISFACTORY, IT WAS OUT OF THEIR CONTROL AND THEY COULD DO NOTHING BUT TURN IT OVER TO THEIR INSURANCE COMPANY. IN JULY 2004, I GOT A LETTER IN THE MAIL FROM A COMPANY HANDLING THE CLAIM FOR HOME DEPOT. AS OF APRIL 2005, I STILL HAVE 2 BROKEN TOWELS, NO CALLS FROM THE I

UGH! I USED MY LUNCH PERIOD TO TRY TO BUY TWO CONTAINERS OF COPPER SULFATE, A CRYSTALLIZED COMPOUND I BUY IN ABOUT TWO MINUTES AT MY LOCAL ACE HARDWARE STORE IN WILMETTE. BECAUSE I WAS IN A HURRY, I DIDN'T WASTE TIME LOOKING ON MY OWN, BUT ASKED THE FIRST EMPLOYEE I FOUND. SHE WAS IN GARDEN, ASKED WHAT COPPER SULFATE WAS, AND WHEN I DESCRIBED IT, SAID SHE DIDN'T KNOW IF IT WOULD BE IN AISLE X OR GARDEN. I WAITED 5 MIN. I TRIED AISLE X, AND AGAIN ASKED THE FIRST EMPLOYEE I FOUND. HE HAD NO IDEA WHAT COPPER SULFATE OR ROOT KILLER WERE. ANOTHER 5 MIN. HE CALLED A SUPERVISOR. ANOTHER 5 MIN. THE SUPERVISOR SAID THEY CARRIED ROOT KILLER BUT DIDN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT COPPER SULFATE. I ALMOST LEFT THE STORE THEN, BUT INSTEAD TRIED TO FIND THE AISLE HE SENT ME TO, THEN LOCATE THE ROOT KILLER. YET ANOTHER 10 MIN. MAIN INGREDIENT OF THEIR EXPENSIVE ROOT KILLER? COPPER SULFATE! CHECKOUT AND FINDING MY CAR AGAIN. 10 MIN. I WAS LATE BACK TO WORK. HIRE PEOPLE WHO KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING!

THEY MADE GOOD ON THEIR PROMISES.
