Great!! Came when they are supposed to and very clean and polite.

This has been the worst experience I've had with a painting/staining company. I had purchased some 6 panel doors that needed to be sanded and stained. I chose an oak color for them to match my floors. The first guy that was sent started off by using a white stain. He did remove it to use the correct color, but the white that he used is still visible in spots under the correct color. There are drips on every door as well as not being sanded down completely. This has left the doors looking wet and spotty and there is pooling of the stain in every one of the panels. There is even one spot, right at eye level, where there are at least 15 large drips along with being sanded to a point where there is an oval spot that looks like a completely different color. My 21 yr old daughter was home the day the first guy came out because I was at work. The employee insisted on getting paid that day before he'd leave. Because he wouldn't take my credit card number over the phone, our only option was for my daughter to go to the bank right then and there to get the cash to pay him. This made for a very difficult situation regarding all of the back and forth phone calls while I was at work. I contacted the owner, Jake, who claims that he fired the guy, and that he doesn't operate in that manner, although I am now having a hard time believing that this is true. In the meantime though, I still have doors that look like crap. I have contacted Jake several times over the past 3 1/2 months now trying to get resolution for fixing the staining issues. Jake did come out to look at the doors about 8 weeks ago, and agreed they weren't completed properly and promised that he would personally come out to make the doors right as soon as he completed another job he was doing. That was 2 months ago. I have contacted him numerous times since then and each time he promised he'd be in contact with me to set the date to make this right. He has yet to do that. At this point he is not even responding to my emails or calls. The last time I called was last Friday and asked him to call me within a couple days to set the date he'd be back. I have yet to receive a call. This all started on June 11 the and here it is Sept 25th. I will now need to hire someone else to fix his mess, but wanted to post a review here of DO NOT USE EAGLE CONSTRUCTION from Gurnee Illinois.

When I realized my home needed some attention and updating, I reached out to several painting companies and general contractors. I received many estimates but when Jake P****** of Eagle Construction came out to my house for a bid, I already had a good feeling about this company simply by Jake's demeanor. He is honest and pleasant to work with, knowledgable, experienced and not to mention, the guy could be a comedian! Eagle wasn't the cheapest bid, but wasn't the most expensive either. So I decided to go with Eagle, confident that my project would be done with great care and attention to detail. The whole house was to be painted so I needed expert advice on color choices. Eagle Construction automatically provided me with an Interior Designer to help with that for free! She, too, was very knowledgable and helped seamlessly with the color and furniture placement decisions I had been stumped on for some time. As soon as colors were chosen, work on the project started. Although I was frustruated at having to live amoungst the construction debris and other people being in my home, it was only for a short time and Jake and the crew completed the project quicker then projected. The crew was very polite and cleaned up on a daily basis. Everything looks absolutely beautiful! I would highly recommend them to anyone.
