Still no followup from the company or owner. We have continued to reach out to Decor8 for status as to when this will be properly addressed. We have also requested a refund. We have not heard back and continue to wait for a resolution. Additionally, we have reached out to Hunter Douglas for assistance. The reason we are posting here is that we felt it was important to let everyone know about this company's service or lack thereof. Make sure the company you go with has more than a handful of "great" recommendations...who knows who wrote those, or their relationship to the business. When a business has hundreds of reviews, you are much more likely to hear the real story of their work. Angies List is a great place to start! We could have purchased these verticals anywhere. We tried to choose someone we thought would provide good service. This company did not! I would NEVER hire this company.
Description of Work: I contracted for verticals, in June 2015. I still do not have the useable verticals that this company has taken my money for. They had ordered wrong parts and could not properly install my verticals. No followup from the owner, I had to contact him to find out when they would be fixed. I continued to try and find out when they would be installed so we could use them properly. His responses were very sparse, and curt, from an iPad, that said things like “waiting for the parts”. When the parts finally did come in, the installer called to come out and fix them. I rearranged our schedule to be home, again. He came out and was a very nice man. He walked in, opened the boxes and said “you’ve got to be kidding me. These are all wrong.” He could not do anything that day and said he would contact the owner and request a rush, as this was not right. After not hearing from the owner, I contacted him. He responded that he’d need to talk to installer. The owner did not respond to me, I contacted him again. Fast forward….I STILL have no answer as to what is happening with my “rush” order. No idea of when my 2 sets of verticals will be able to be properly used. I have a child with a disability who still cannot get her meals out of the pantry. Parts of the blinds are hanging in my sink and are no matter how much we try...they are getting dirty and stained. We were counting on his company to do as they contracted and said they would do-other repairs were predicated on his job. We have missed holidays, family events, and are now preparing for a graduation season with no proper blinds and lots of company in our home. He referred to a warranty. I requested a copy of “the warranty” a number of time, of which I still have never received. He has not even acknowledged this since I requested it. The owner has NEVER said anything about being sorry for the inconvenience, the delays, the problems,….nothing. I tried, numerous times to contact him and say how disappointed I was that he has never even apologized for the problems. His only response was an excuse on why it wasn’t his fault that he didn’t followup with me. No apology very, very poor followup. You can get the same verticals through many places. I was sold on believing that I was going with Decor8 for their service. I feel I was taken. It really effects our entire family, as this has been MONTHS now. I am very disappointed by Decor8 and the lack of service. I would never recommend this company...suffice to say....Go somewhere else.

Brad Ginsberg of Decor8 did not honor his commitment. I purchased a Living Social Voucher for $79 for his company. The Voucher was then good for $300 of either blinds or reupholstery. I had Brad over to give me an estimate for the job. Two weeks later I called him back, received his voice mail, and I left him a message saying I wanted to schedule the work. I never heard back from him. I called an additional 4 times over the next several months. The voucher has now expired. I have taken it up with Living Social, but I wanted other buyers to beware.
Description of Work: Came over and gave me an estimate to reupholster a chair.

He came out and we looked through options and he gave me his opinions on what looked best, while considering our opinion. We didn't decide anything on the spot. He followed up with a quote by email. I was very pleased with his quote, though we decided to postpone doing our blinds.
Description of Work: I called Decor8 to come out to give an estimate for blinds in our living room. He was professional over the phone and available within a reasonable time frame to come out for an appt.

I met with the owner of the company for a quote on blinds and he was nice and punctual. He convinced me that I should pay double what Home Depot charged for Hunter Douglas blinds - through him. He also told me about how the goverment was giving a rebate on these specific blinds. I asked him to confirm before I purchased as that made a big impact on the price. He called back a few days later to inform me he was wrong on the gov rebate. I asked him to match the rebate since it was his error and he sold me on them with that in the price. He would not, but offered a slim 10%. Since I was having a baby soon, I decided to just go with him anyways to have it done. He also promised me the blinds would be in quickly, usually 2-4 weeks. After I paid him it all changed. He NEVER returned my calls. I felt like a stalker, leaving voicemail after voicemail to see when my blinds would come in. He eventually responded via email and said he had no idea. It ended up taking about 2 months for them to come in, and he was so unprofessional. his emails to me (after about 10 calls) were rude and all about how his family was so busy - yada yada. This is a business and he should treat it as such. It seems he's all about getting back to you and being prompt to sell you something and then he vanishes. Terrible customer service and over-priced. Beware
Description of Work: I purchased blinds for 3 windows. 2 were dark out shades and 1 was light filtering. All were Hunter Douglas.

Owner has great ideas, good design, but took forever to finish. Kitchen patio drapes had a dark stain across the middle from the fold in the bolt of cloth getting dirty. Charged the full amount before finishing. When I called my card and got the money held, owner called my house and was very, agressive and belligerent. He would not stop calling, even though I asked several times and was very threatening and was not offering to fix the issue with the drape. I finally had to threaten him with the police to get him to stop calling.
Description of Work: Had window treatments designed and installed for 3 bedrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen patio door and over the sink window, Also had 2 chairs cushions covered.

Their prices are too low. Their prices were good and very competitive. I had to wait a long time to get a window installed and it didn’t fit. It took them three months to get the parts they said they would have, and the parts, when they came in, were incorrect. They always said that they were too busy to fix the problems. He took my automated shades, and said that he would fix them for a great price. He said it shouldnt take more than a month to six weeks. More than a few months later, it still was not fixed. He came to fix it, they were made incorrectly. I was about to go on vacation, and told them to have it fixed in two weeks. When I came back after the few weeks, they said that they were very busy and did not have anything done. They said that they would take a downpayment and I found out that they took out the entire amount. And then American Express said they would hold the payment. Then the owner emails me a nasty email and I didn't even bother reading it all. Overall, a very bad experience.
